واقعا مکان جالبی هست و خوبه که نزدیکه دانشگاه آکسفورد هم است.It's a really interesting place, and it's good that it's close to Oxford University.

We had a good visit to New College as part of a private guided tour of Oxford. We found the college to be quiet and rather empty on a Wednesday afternoon in November. It is a beautiful and well maintained campus, with its own unique history. It is cheaper than some of the other colleges to visit, though each has their own unique charm. We spent about 30 minutes here in total. Check in advance, as opening times to the public are limited and it helps to plan your day effectively and make best use of your time in Oxford. (Yes, this site was used as a filming location for HP - which excited my students)

Beautiful and magical place – a must-visit for Harry Potter fans! I absolutely loved my visit to New College, Oxford. The college is stunning — full of history, elegant architecture, peaceful cloisters, and lovely gardens. It’s incredible to think that this was one of the filming locations for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! Standing under the famous tree and walking through the cloisters felt like stepping right into Hogwarts. Highly recommended for both film lovers and anyone who enjoys peaceful historic places.

Navigating Oxford's historic sites requires a blend of strategy and openness. For me, New College embodies the ideal visit: a harmonious blend of profound history (its 14th-century cloisters and chapel) and pop-culture fame (as a Harry Potter set) that feels authentic rather than staged. The key is timing—go late afternoon to avoid the peak Harry Potter tour crowds and experience the serene gardens by the medieval city wall. This approach applies across Oxford. The Bodleian Library is essential, but book the "Extended Tour" in advance for the true highlight: the solemn, scholarly air of Duke Humfrey's Library. Counterpoint this with the modern, free Weston Library; check its exhibition schedule online to see world-class treasures up close, making the Bodleian's vast collection tangible. Similarly, appreciate the city's layers. The statue of Earl of Pembroke on the Bodleian's facade is a mere detail unless you know he was its great benefactor—context is everything. For every iconic site, seek its quieter twin. If the Radcliffe Camera is swamped, admire it from the secluded Brasenose Lane. This balance—between booked access and free discovery, between famous vistas and hidden corners—is what unlocks Oxford's true magic, letting you feel the vibrant academic life pulsing beneath its ancient stones.

I had the privilege of experiencing the student accommodation and dining hall at New College. It was truly breathtaking—I felt just like Harry Potter living there!

The cloisters and gardens are especially impressive and incredibly well maintained. It’s a calm, inspiring, and unforgettable experience. A must-visit location for anyone exploring Oxford. Please make sure to check the official website for tourist entrance details. The Harry Potter spot is just behind the left side after you go in. Unfortunately, part of the lawn was covered with protective sheets for maintenance, but I was still able to see the famous “Malfoy tree”! Someone there was dressed up as Harry — I felt how popular the films still are. This college is a little away from the city centre, so it was wonderfully peaceful. We had a lovely, quiet walk around the grounds.

Ένα πανέμορφο σε αρχιτεκτονική κτίριο, που συστεγάζει στο συγκρότημα του το κολλέγιο με το παρεκκλήσι του 14 ου αιώνα. Η αυλή με το τεράστιο αιωνόβια δέντρο, όπου ο Ντιέγκο μεταμορφώθηκε σε νυφίτσα είναι πολύ όμορφο. Η αίθουσα φαγητού που γυρίστηκαν σκηνές του Χάρι Πότερ είναι επιβλητική με μεγάλο ύψος και πολυτελής. Υπάρχει εισιτήριο για την είσοδο, αλλά αξίζει τον κόπο. Υπάρχει και μεγάλος κήπος στο τέλος, ο οποίος περιβάλλεται από μεσαιωνικά τείχη.

First things first, New College has two huge doors. One is used by the professionals and the other is for tourists. The tourist entrance is a little harder to find but the staff there are especially friendly and welcoming. The college itself is stunning with the famous Draco Malfoy tree and beautiful cloisters that make every corner worth exploring. Honestly I could write an essay about how amazing this place is but I will stop here and simply say it is a must visit

Aus Sicht eines Touristen, auf den Spuren von Harry Potter, ist es schon Sehenswert. Was ich etwas übertrieben fand war der Eintritt von £8 für Erwachsene und £7 für Kinder. Das Familienticket gibt es für £25. Wir haben das Ticket gekauft und wollten erst später rein, weil wir vorher noch eine andere gebuchte Führung hatten. Als wir dann um 16:00 Uhr vor der Tür standen, war diese bereits geschlossen, obwohl uns vorher gesagt wurde, dass das Gelände bis 16:30 Uhr geöffnet ist. Sing ein Schild außen, dass es wegen Überfüllung geschlossen ist. Wir haben dann mal geklopft und wurden doch noch reingelassen, weil wir schon ein Ticket hatten. Es Befand sich auch fast kein Tourist mehr auf dem Gelände

Visited with my daughter and granddaughter to see the Harry Potter filming sites. What a beautiful building! I really enjoyed walking round and looking at it all. They were rehearsing on the pipe organ in the chapel ready for the evening carol service which added to the atmosphere. Entry price was reasonable, staff were friendly. You can eat in the great hall (reasonable prices but we’d already eaten so can’t attest to the quality). Well worth a visit and I will be coming back again,

Yes, it is more expensive to visit than most other collages. But it is fully worth it. Hell, it would still be worth it if the entrance was 12-13£. The collage is absolutely massive with 3 different garden areas and beautiful buildings and walls surrounding all that. I am not a hardcore Harry Potter fan. I have enjoyed the movies and that's about it. But this collage has some spots that screams Harry Potter. It is impossible not to be amazed. The dining hall apparently is the oldest and tallest dining hall in both Oxford and Cambridge, which is impressive. It is forbidden to take pictures there, but when you see the chapel wall, you will be dumbfounded, trust me. Also, the garden at the back and the city walls surrounding it are a sight to see for sure. Definitely loved going in the New Collage and truly think that this is the one you NEED to see if you are ever in Oxford.

La entrada cuesta unas 7 - 8 £, pero vale la pena. Si hay alguna parte del College que está cerrada te avisan en la entrada. La arquitectura es muy bonita, y merece la pena dar una vuelta por el lugar y hacer unas cuantas fotos. Si eres fan de Harry Potter aquí se grabó la escena del hurón. La entrada es difícil de encontrar, recomiendo mirar las indicaciones de su página web para llegar.

고풍스러운 역사박물관같은 학교에서 공부하는 학생들을 보니 너무 부러웠다. 잔디에 앉아 책을 읽는 모습이 다시 그때로 돌아가고 싶은 마음이었다. 컬리지 내의 여러곳이 영화의 한장면처럼 느껴졌는데 해리포터 영화속의 장면에 모티브였다고 한다. 실제로 곳곳에서 촬영을 하기도 했다고 한다

In my humble opinion, the prettiest college in Oxford. Contains all the charm of medival colleges in one venue. I recommend seeing their hall (which looks like the Great Hall), their cloisters (which was featured in Harry Potter, I think), their garden and their castle wall.
