The university runs tours of the campus every second Saturday and is aimed for families of future students but is also suitable for anyone who is interested in learning about UNSW. Be warned there are a number of stairs and the university is quite large so wear comfortable shoes. You will hear stories about stolen alligators, cows on top of buildings and Guinness Book of Awards cars. The tour is free and run by students. It was easy to book online on the university website. We really enjoyed the tour and feel quite pleased that our child has chosen to go here to study.

We visited UNSW last summer, many years after I graduated back in 2007, and it was wonderful to walk around the campus again! The environment is vibrant and full of energy, and it was nostalgic to see familiar spots from my student days. The campus cafes are great — though I really missed the laksa I used to enjoy back then! Still, the friendly atmosphere and beautiful grounds make UNSW a lovely place to visit, whether you’re a current student, alumni, or just exploring. Highly recommend taking a stroll around if you’re in the area. 🌿🎓

Fun uni courses that are highly revelant to increase employability. Great campus, and even greater church! For me, FOCUS International Church (a Christian church on campus) has been my family while I studied there! Highly recommend to checking out the Uni and the church!

The UNSW campus is spacious, modern, and well-equipped with excellent facilities. The green spaces and open areas create a pleasant atmosphere for students to relax and study. Additionally, the campus has a great mix of contemporary and traditional architecture, with plenty of cafes, libraries, and study spots.

Truly role model university. How they combine knowledge and nature in dense city.

While this university is outstanding in most aspects, the high tuition for international students is a significant drawback.

UNSW has a terrible history of making offers and withdrawing them afterwards. The problem is that with international students, the students often make deposits and start the visa process, which often is not refunded, and the funds are not refunded at all. I especially encourage Indian and European students to avoid this university. Indian students often are not refunded and denied visas, and the university makes more offers than it should for profit motive. European students find the place extremely dysfunctional and disturbing and do not find it helpful. Australia is a great place to come enjoy the continent and for tourism, but education is overrated and the cost is extremely high. Save your money and energy and go to a country that welcomes international students and cares about students and not just enriching itself like this colonial university.

I never really thought about it much but honestly equality is dim. As a not model person all the GODDAMN chairs were for 178+ people. I want my money back otherwise pray my next college is more friendly to shorter people.

Had a fantastic time at the UNSW Open Day! The campus was vibrant and welcoming, staff and students were friendly and helpful, and the presentations gave clear insights into study options. Great atmosphere, very well organised, and it’s easy to see why UNSW is one of the highest-ranked universities in Australia.

The best uni. I have studied in 6 different Australian universities doing multiple postgrads and this is the best, they really care about their students and the accessibility, inclusivity and communication is really 5 star. The student hub services are amazing, made multiple calls before and they are nothing but pleasant, helpful and patient! Currently doing my postgrad here and I felt so blessed, supported and advocated for Thank you UNSW!

I’ve been undertaking my postgraduate teaching course at UNSW for the past year and have had nothing but positive experiences. From the tutors to student support to the on-campus facilities, everything has been exceptional.

The administration support at UNSW is excellent. Teams like Nucleus and The Forum respond very quickly and address concerns clearly and thoughtfully, leaving no room for uncertainty or worry. This is something other institutions might underestimate, but it is truly important, as it represents the day to day interface between the university and its students. I also really appreciate how caring and understanding the Special Consideration team is. It feels like they genuinely want to support students rather than just follow procedures. This makes me feel heard and supported, and it’s one of the reasons UNSW is the best choice for me.

On the whole, because the UNSW curriculum all buildings are represented by code names, for example, the building code of computer science is K17, and most buildings can be found through this code. However, there are still some theatre and building codes that cannot match the search results on the map. It is recommended to update continuously.

Spent 3.5 years for my doctoral degree here. The university offers a really conducive environment for studying and researching. There are many restaurants nearby to hang out with your friends, most notably around Anzac Parade. I really love how quick and helpful the staff in this university is in resolving problems encountered by the students. This is undoubtedly the best studying experience I have had in my entire life.

after 17 years went back to my uni, it is still gigantic as it is. It was an emotional attached to go back, seeing my name engraved on the board of first class honor civil engineering. uni still upkeep in good and prefect shape

UNSW is a global university. Its main section is in Sydney, while some more sections are scattered around and one is in Canberra. UNSW offers a wide variety of subjects. It ranks 19th in the world, sharing the same place with the University of Sydney. The tuition fees for these two universities, UNSW and USyd, are higher than the rest of the universities because of the high-quality education facilities.
