This place was a surprise hit! We discovered this restaurant by chance thanks to it's brightly lit signage. We celebrated our friends birthday here and I must say it was the best decision ever, the restaurant even arranged for the cake. They staff were so enthusiastic and welcoming. I believe they serve hands down the best biryani in dubai, just melt in the mouth delish. Do try their kebabs as well and their soft and yum cheese naan ( which they gave us complimentary). The decor here is just amazing and well located in karama. There is ample RTA parking around the location and definitely it's a must visit place for family crowds.

One of the best ambiance restaurants we been to. The seating very cozy, well spaced tables and flowers on each of them were inviting. The kitchen, visible through a clear glass screen is modern and very clean. The tandoor starters were absolutely amazing with perfect marination and cooked to perfection. The chicken masala was too good cooked in great masala. The quality is personally supervised by owner mr Salil who was seen in kitchen and with customers asking their views and suggestions. And Sujata who was a great host in serving us during our dinner. We were given sulemani tea complimentary from the restaurant. Planning to visit again to try their other dishes.

Good indian food we liked it. We ordered 1.mutton glawti which meeds to be a lil spicy and salt 2.lassi , I suggest the lassi to be plain without nuts 3. Lamb chops was good but its too much filled with spices 4. Chicken gravy was good 5. Mashroom tikka was good but mashroom aren’t fresh i think Overall good place and good food

This restaurant is not meant for people who are used to cheap fast service, yes it is a premium service oriented restaurant to make you feel great and light on your pocket. So if you wish to enjoy dish then you need patience as all dishes are freshly made. One of the most authentic Indian Mughlai restaurant entered in UAE market. I have found it's taste similar to what you may find in India. Since the spices used in their delicacies are flown from it's origin, that is what it makes so tasty. I tried their Tandoori Chicken which took me back to India to the streets of Mohammad Ali in Mumbai, where Mughali delicacies are enjoyed by Bollywood Stars. Their Badami Chicken is equally good and not to be missed. Tried their Kabuli Murgh or can be referred as Kabuli Chicken which BBQ Tandoori chicken in Gravy. I have not seen anyone making the same in UAE. Their Mutton Rogan Josh is something to try for, very well balanced with spices. For first time in UAE will find a Shahi Murgh Dum Biryani made in asli ghee, yes you can feel the ghee and aroma of ghee on your palette this something you will not find anywhere in UAE, atleast I as food lover have not. Biryani is something different with a light touch of sourness yet keeping the entire flavor of other spices intact. It is must try. Their breads are soft even when cold unlike other restaurants, it reminded of Hong Kong where I had tried Indian breads and which were real soft, I bet you will love them. Their interiors are rich and premium however the prices of dishes are affordable which is a surprise. It's a pocket friendly restaurant for family. A premium service and premium ambience with a premium service so that you can enjoy every bite. I would visiting again to try their veg delicacies and I am pretty sure it will equally good. The new kid on the block has rich Awadhi & North Indian flavors on point . We tried veg n non vg starters,mojitos & lassis , Murg musalam stood out for me ,clubbed with any of their breads from their mix basket . Veg & non vg chicken biryani was flavorful & aromatic. Tandoor Daawat is a house of Unparalleled Indian flavors serving all kinds of Awadhi and Mughlai cuisine. Thanks to Anupa for finding this “Not so Hidden Gem” because you cant miss this brightly lit up gem right in the heart of Karama. Our dinner kicked off with some refreshing lassi/mocktails complimented with lip smacking starters such as Veg Hara bhara seekh kabab and Veg Shami Kabab. The Kababs had an authentic Awadhi flavour to it. Our main course consisted of their special Veg Dum Biryani served with Raita, Veg Kadhai and assorted roti basket. Don’t miss out the Cheese naan (recommended for cheese lovers). Our dinner ended with their special Persian treat called “Saffron Pudding” which was garnished with Cinnamon powder and nuts.

Really liked the food , everything was delicious. Veg and Non Veg options are available. Lamb biryani was too good. The place have beautiful fine dining ambience. No wifi available for guests though

Fan of Awadhi cuisine? There's one new restaurant that I recommend to totally try. It's called Tandoor Dawat, 2 months new, situated in the food streets of Karama. Anupa found this place on one of her gastronomic escapades and totally loved it, so invited a few of us to try. Absolutely enjoyed the food there. Very region specific dishes and taste bearing alligence to the Awadhi Lucknowi style. We started off with some mojitos and lip smacking starters both in veg and non veg including moti kebab, murgh tandoor kebab, hara bara seekh kebab, and shami kebab. In the mains we had assorted bread basket, murgh musalam, murgh dum biryani and finished it off with Saffron pudding. Overall a great experience and the owner Syed was personally ensuring service was quick and efficient. If you enjoy North Indian taste particularly Awadhi Lucknowi flavours, this place is definitely worth trying.

The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing but, had issues with serving as they took 1 hour to get mix grill and fried rice to make it worse we waited even more for biryani that we canceled. They really have to focus on serving faster other wise it was amazing

This restaurant is ahead of its time for a karama neighbourhood. A definite experience for Indian fine dining. Mr Syed knows the difference between Mughali and Awadhi cuisines. The best Galouti kebab and Murgh Musallam in town.

Didn’t expect the ambience to be so beautiful. We had chicken for starters it was the dish of the night. Juicy and tinder and marinated very well.10/10 Biryani was 6/10 Lassi and other drink we ordered was 10/10

The owner is really nice and recommended us what food to order to have the best experience. The mix kebab was nice but there were quite a few negative points: - my mutton saag that was supposed to be boneless had only pieces of meet with big bones and there wasn’t really much meat. I told him and he added two pieces but it was a bit underwhelming - found a hair in the butter paneer … some people ate from that pot and it made me question the hygiene situation, despite the place looked clean and the kitchen was open for people to see. We got another bowl of the dish but there was always the doubt of the back of our head - we were the only patrons from 9pm onwards, so loved the quiet but it killed the ambiance - at some point a fight started between someone trying to use the bathroom without being a restaurant diner and the owner just calmly telling him he couldn’t which made it for an interesting evening - there is no entrance for people of determination so I had to make a jump on my only working foot (I’m temporarily with crutches) - parking in front of the place is hard hard to find Overall, I don’t think I’ll visit again. The hair in the food and all the bone-full meat didn’t make me enjoy to the fullest the experience and will always make me wonder.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. Fahad & sujata.They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, specially Fahad very friendly and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, specially murgh banjara kebab and murgh pudina dry it’s really wow and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

Tandoor Dawat is on a mission to change the way people perceive Indian food - it’s difficult to find authentic Indian Food that doesn’t disappoint & I’m glad to have found this hidden gem! Both its kitchen and elegant-yet-exotic interiors marry tradition with modernity, with attentive staff that continually deliver spotless service and a menu that is rich in creativity takes on everything, from curry and rotis to mindblowing appetizers and desserts. It’s a struggle not to order it all, TBH.

Ambience is nice, we ordered biryani but it was not upto the mark. It was okay in taste but not like the authentic biryani that you would like to have. Staff is good and service is nice too. They have limited number of tables. We visited it on a weekday so it was not crowded, not sure about the weekends though.

Exceptional experience at Tandoor Dawat.. The flavors were a symphony of authenticity, each dish a masterpiece. The staff’s warmth added to the inviting ambiance. We tried: Nawabi chicken started Sheekh kebab Chicken tikka Masala Jeera Rice Veg Dum Biriyani Everything was full of flavors and too good.

Good food, a bit on the pricey side but excellent service and ambience. Murg mumtaz ( we ordered it as 0 spice ) but it tasted superb

Loved the absence and the food was amazing. Well hospitable staff especially Sujata was too humble and suggested good dishes. Had a great birthday bash and every wall was an opportunity to click more and more pics. Must must visit.
