Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto

Absolutely loved our stay at the Nohga hotel in Kyoto! We were impressed with the cleanliness and the thoughtfulness they had with designing the space. Lots of amenities available and we appreciated being able to loan a hair straightener also. Such a relaxing place to come back to after sightseeing all day! The cafe in the lobby was amazing also and had great gluten free baking. Loved it! Would highly recommend!

My partner and I stayed at the Nogha Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto for 4 nights. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and incredibly helpful with all our requests. We did not have breakfast included, however the cafe downstairs had so many baked goods. The coffee was good and the mochi donuts are gf and vegan! You can also hire electric bikes for the day for only 2000¥.

My favorite hotel on our three week trip to Japan! We were lucky to get upgraded and the rooms were SO spacious! The biggest bed I’ve ever seen. The bathrooms were great and I loved that the toilet was separate from the shower. The lobby was so beautiful, and I really loved the cafe area! I would stay here again and recommend to anyone staying in Kyoto.

This Hotel is completely insane. Clean, full of service, every day they live you a message on t your tv in the room. You have lots information on your tv, even advices for the city, place to go, food recommendations, message from the reception. We had breakfast included and you can have it in the garden or on a big table where there is lots of space for 4 couples. Stunning I truly recommend it There is also the concierge that gives you advices of what to do, where to go, they can book activities for you.

京都での親子2人旅、今回の拠点は NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO 5歳のチビと2人旅で訪問。 まず入口からテンション上がる系で、無機質すぎない“和モダン×ミニマル”な空気感が最高。海外のブティックホテル好きな人は間違いなく刺さるやつ。実際インバウンド比率も高くて、ちょっと海外旅行してる気分になるのがまた良い。 部屋は正直広くはないんだけど、無駄を削ぎ落とした設計で導線がめちゃくちゃ良い。子供と2人でもストレスなく動けるし、ベッド周りも快適でしっかり休めたのはかなりポイント高い。 こういう“広さじゃなくて質で勝負してる部屋”って経営目線でも勉強になるなと。 あと地味に良かったのが立地。清水寺エリアまで徒歩圏内だから、朝イチで人少ない時間にサクッと動けるのはデカい。子連れだとこの機動力はかなり重要。 館内のデザイン、音楽、香りまでしっかり作り込まれていて、「体験としてのホテル」をちゃんと提供してる印象。単なる宿泊じゃなくて“滞在そのものを楽しむ”タイプ。 子連れでも全然いけるし、カップル・海外ゲストにも間違いなくハマるホテル。 京都でちょっとセンスいい滞在したい人にはかなりオススメです👍

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nohga Hotel Kiyomizo Kyoto and were so glad it was recommended by friends to stay here. The front desk is efficient and expedient and very helpful, professional. There are many services offered at this hotel like Landry services, the wonderful Cochin restaurants including breakfasts and the Italian on-property fine dining too. We enjoyed an evening on the rooftop snuggled under warm blankets, heaters and fireplace too while drinking hot mulled wine (glühwein) made to perfection with cloves and spices Our room was quite spacious and we had plenty of room to spread out too. The shower was uniquely designed as well and there was also a huge tub for soaking. The hotel also has a meditation room downstairs with reservations. I know some reviewers commented about the location but I found this to be an advantage- really only a 10 min walk to many temples, the pagoda and the train station too which was fine. I would rather be out of all the loudness of being in the heart of town. And our rooms were very quiet. Will recommend again and book clients here too. Oh and only ¥1800 yen by taxi from train station 😍

I had an absolutely outstanding stay at Hotel Nohga Kyoto, and it is without doubt one of the most enjoyable and comfortable hotels I have experienced. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptional in every possible; welcoming, friendly, attentive, and unfailingly polite. Their warmth and professionalism created an atmosphere that made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and every interaction was delivered with a smile. The rooms were superb. They were beautifully presented, immaculately maintained, and extremely comfortable. In particular, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was another highlight of the stay. The quality and variety were excellent, with a fantastic selection that made each morning something to look forward to. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and clearly chosen with care. The facilities throughout the hotel were outstanding and thoughtfully designed. I even had the opportunity to enjoy a morning sound bath session, which was expertly delivered and a wonderfully relaxing way to start the day. The other facilities at the hotel were excellent as well, contributing to an overall experience that combined comfort, wellbeing, and style. Overall, the level of service and attention to detail made this a truly memorable stay. I could not recommend Hotel Nohga Kyoto highly enough and will absolutely be recommending it to all of my friends. I very much look forward to staying here again in the future.

An excellent stay in Kyoto. We stayed in the executive King Room which had a view of Yasaka shrine…Big room with lovely bathroom, and huge comfortable bed. Comfortable walk to Yasaka shire and pagoda, a bus stop on the corner will take you everywhere else, a quieter spot just far enough away from the busy areas to feel like a retreat from the chaos. Beautiful food on site at the Rooftop, bakery and restaurant. Rooftop was our favourite and visits daily before or after dinner with a great selection of cocktails. The food is great too Wagyu steak frites and cheeseburger were our picks or the Kyoto malt whisky for a nightcap. Service was excellent and the staff all speak perfect English and are very welcoming to overseas visitors. Daily room cleaning was very good, the rooms feel brand new! Thank you Nohga team for a lovely stay.

Great location, quiet area that is easy to access more popular places by bus, long walk, or short taxi rides. The rooms were clean and nice, although a bit small. Free laundromat on site, however the detergent is automatic and the dryer setting cannot be changed to low, so it shrunk some of my clothing. The breakfast is buffet plus an egg dish made to order. You can also order lattes and such from the cafe for an additional cost. The cafe and bakery carries very nice pastries. The rooftop bar was my absolute favorite! Great music (modern R&B, a little low key hip hop, very vibey and relaxed), amazing cocktails and nice service. The view of the nearby mountains is pretty and the fireplace comes on at night, making it very cozy. They do enforce 1.5 hour stay, despite us continuously ordering drinks. It’s a popular place but not loud. Love this place, really made our stay great.

The hotel service with Nari at concierge was outstanding. She helped with restaurant, foot massage and tea ceremony recommendations and bookings for us making it a relaxing stay for us. The rooftop bar and bakery was amazing. The rooms were spacious and modern and eco-friendly. Definitely will be back next time I visit.

Location was good, food was good, beds are comfortable-I had an executive king room which was very spacious. The only thing that was annoying was noise. My upstairs neighbors liked to stomp and run around every morning. The walls are quite thin. It’s interesting because I stayed at this hotel in Akihabara and you could not hear a thing. The staff is wonderful. Besides the noise(which was not horrible but prevented me from sleeping more in the am) , otherwise it’s great.

A classy, cultivated stay. Nohga is eco friendly, beautifully decorated, and provides all necessary amenities. My partner and I booked Nohga for our Kyoto visit and found it to be mid range for cost with a very high end experience. There are a full restaurant, cafe, indoor and rooftop bar, fitness center, laundry area within the hotel. The room was beautiful; spacious, with a rainfall shower head/steam shower, purified water spout for drinking, robes and slippers. We enjoyed the cafe for breakfast multiple days (more cost friendly than the buffet) and the indoor bar for a cocktail, dinner, and dessert. My only complaint is the location was not ideal for being in the middle of a sightseeing area. The subway station was about an 8 min walk from the hotel, which during rainy weather and after a long day of walking, felt too far. However, I do think the experience of the hotel made it worth it.

We stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights and it was a very satisfying experience. The location is pretty central, though the nearest station to us is a 10-min walk away. But Gion st. is a mere 15 min walk away and Kyoto station was around a 10 min drive. It’s a newer boutique hotel and the rooms are aptly spacious. The bed was very comfortable! We also loved the water filter we had in the room and they have Balmudi kettles as well. Don’t miss out on the bakery they have in the lobby. It was very good! They have an in-house restaurant as well which looked promising. We had a very pleasant stay and it was good for the price point. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed recently for five nights and found the hotel beautifully designed. The staff did their best to accommodate everyone and the concierge was very helpful and responsive on WhatsApp. She assisted us with several reservations although we were not completely satisfied with the kaiseki restaurant and tea ceremony she recommended. The food was average and overpriced and we expected a higher standard. The French bakery was excellent, for Japanese standards. The rooftop terrace was also very pleasant though the staff there were somewhat intrusive and interrupted our conversations several times. The only real drawback was the laundry facility. It is very small, cramped and hot. The washing machines did not clean effectively and we had to leave our clothes in the dryer for about 90 minutes. It was also quite busy and some guests left their laundry unattended which caused delays for others. Overall it is a nice hotel in a convenient location and I would recommend it.

This is one of the loveliest hotels I've stayed in. Food was excellent (we ate breakfast every day and found something new to try as well as eating in the restaurant one night too which was great), fresh bread baked on site, coffee was strong and delicious. It's has a buzzy vibe, without feeling crowded. Really lovely staff – sweet, helpful, professional. And to cap it all a lovely open roof terrace bar.

朋友住過推薦我的酒店 4/26-30入住 櫃檯人員說有幫忙升級房型 但感覺沒有什麼差別😂 2樓房間看出去剛好是停車場 沒有風景 最後一天可以待到12:00才退房 很棒！ 打掃的房務員也很友善有禮貌 都會打招呼 6樓有酒吧 開到半夜12點 上面很多歐美外國人 很漂亮舒服氛圍很好 去了兩個晚上 第一天很冷 還有暖爐 電熱器 服務員還會準備毛毯 第二天溫度很舒服 人超級多 餐點跟酒也都不錯 價格也不會太貴👍🏾 酒店外觀和內部蠻有藝術設計風格 味道很舒服有草本木質味 前台可以拿牙膏牙刷洗面乳等備品 一樓有咖啡廳跟麵包店 買了三個麵包都很好吃👍🏾 最推薦鹽麵包😍 四天我吃了五顆！推推推😍 房間乾淨舒適 還算寬敞 洗手乳跟沐浴洗髮的味道也很草本😍 廁所很大 乾濕分離 水柱大 熱水夠熱😍 還有浴缸 雖然沒有使用到 早餐在B1 訂了三天有一天起不來沒有吃 有六種套才可以選擇 然後buffet還算多樣 有麵包/沙拉/優格/果汁/牛奶/咖啡/濃湯等 只到10:00有點可惜 如果可以再晚一點就更好 因為我都睡很晚快10點才趕緊衝下樓吃 唯一扣分的地方是有點荒涼 附近都沒有什麼店 走到附近的便利商店要走至少6分鐘有全家跟Lawson 酒店到哪邊搭計程車都還算方便 離清水寺近

Let’s start with location. It’s near a bus stop (3-5 mins walk) thus it’s quite convenient. It’s not loud, ambience overall is quite chill. Room is spacious. It’s clean and it’s pet friendly too. Service once again is top notch. I must compliment Rinpei san for his excellent service and patience. Thanks to him i managed to see a doctor for my sudden allergy and get my hair cut (hair too long causing me to have headaches) Highly recommended if you were to visit Kyoto!

This hotel is phenomenal. So clean, so stylish, so luxurious for how affordable it is. They have everything you could possibly think of in the rooms. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The beds are comfy and the shower is BIG (for Japan lol). I am shocked by how good this hotel turned out to be as we didn’t have any expectations coming here. Would come back any day, 10/10 experience!

Has a very good breakfast, the bakery is sth. I can never forget. The staff is very kind. The lobby is big and nicely decorated. Small but practical rooms. I felt very welcomed here. My favourite hotel in Japan among others.
