Odiyur Lake

One of the best place to stop your vehicle in ECR. Mostly this lake looks empty. Sometimes water looks amazing. I got lot of cool pictures from this lake. Best to stop in daylight especially during rainy days. It's next to Mudhaliyarkuppam Boat House.

Beautiful place to relax and click good pictures! The lake completely dries up during summer but even little rain makes the ground mushy. Be extremely careful if you are planning to take your ride inside. Lot of beautiful migratory birds. Best time to visit is early in the morning.

Wonderful place to see migratory birds… saw Flamingos… quite shy creatures… should carry a binoculars for observing them.. There were many other birds.. Pelicans, seagulls, native birds too Mornings or evenings..

It becomes a hypersaline lake during summer. Due to high salt content in water, limited biodiversity is observed in this shallow lake. Sea mouth remains closed during summer.

Visit when it's dry ! It is definitely an amazing place for all your dp needs. Offers alluring silhouettes. The vast barren river bed will be such a fine back ground to all your photographs. With the sun in the back ground, you are assured of great pictures. With nothing more than flat alluvial land till the horizon, this place is a must to visit.

Great place for photos, can give that artistic feel. This place is more like an estuarine lake and has fish and prawns. There are salt flats here where salt is harvested so it's more like extended sea. Movie chase and shooting happens here at times. Its a great place to explore on foot and hunt for some prawns if you dont mind the mud and stuff.

One of the best Scenic places in ECR, Can stop and enjoy while driving Most of the time it looks dry, But you can see lot of Birds, I have seen recently there are few tea shops also around.

It's one of the shootings spot of southern cinemas. Very peaceful and beautiful one. Particularly family and couple can enjoy this locations. It's located in ECR between kadapakkam and kalpakkam 300 mtrs away from beach, 1km away from muttukkadu boat house. Lacking is only there is no shops to grab something.

The real dried spot in the lake is not reachable full of bushes n thornes

Very nice looking, but be careful, very lonely, and don't go solo, go with the group of people, more than 5 or more.
