I’d like to share my truly positive and rewarding experience with the Odoo team — an experience that owes much of its success to the exceptional project manager, Ghalia Alwerfalli. From day one, Ghalia demonstrated a high level of professionalism and a genuine commitment to understanding our needs and delivering the best possible solutions. She wasn’t just a project manager — she was a true partner in every step of the journey. She followed up on every detail, offered proactive support and guidance, and tackled every challenge with confidence and care. Ghalia brings deep expertise in managing Odoo projects and has a strong grasp of both technical and functional aspects, including accounting, manufacturing, and operations. She was always responsive, collaborative, and solution-oriented — and her ability to turn ideas into real, working results was impressive. What stood out most was her communication style: clear, respectful, and built on trust. She made sure everything was understood and executed correctly, which gave us peace of mind throughout the process. Honestly, if I were to start another Odoo project, my first request would be to have Ghalia Alwerfalli as the project lead. We would like to share our experience working on an Odoo implementation project in our company. Before signing the contract and making the advance payment, we held 3–4 detailed meetings with the Odoo team. During the very first meeting, I personally explained that we had previously experienced a failed CRM implementation: the system was technically configured but never successfully adopted by the team. Therefore, our key requirements were clearly outlined from the beginning: • Maximum simplification of processes • Automation of actions between departments • Integration of all services into one centralized system • Centralized collection and processing of all incoming leads in a single interface At multiple meetings, representatives of the company (including Khalid Khan & Zawar Ali) confidently confirmed that Odoo could be fully integrated with: • Instagram (Direct Messages) • Facebook (Direct Messages) • LinkedIn (Direct Messages) • Gmail • Website forms • WhatsApp numbers (with possible additional payment) We repeatedly emphasized that the critical task was to combine all incoming customer inquiries into one system with the ability to continue communication directly inside Odoo. Additionally, we were assured that the system would support: • Automated customer notifications (appointment confirmations, driver on the way, goods loaded, etc.) • Automatic distribution of leads between departments • Automated follow-ups with time tracking • Barcode and scanner integration for warehouse operations • Warehouse automation • HR module integration with time management and biometric systems Based on these assurances, we made the decision to proceed and paid the advance. However, during the first technical meeting with the implementation team, it became clear that: • Integration of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other channels in the promised format was either extremely limited or practically impossible • Many of the discussed automation processes could not be implemented as presented • No clear technical answers were provided • It was stated that such promises had not been made • We were refused a detailed implementation roadmap for our company It became evident that the practical experience required for such integrations was lacking. As a result, the actual capabilities of the system and the scope of implementation did not match the expectations formed during the sales process. Under these circumstances, we do not see a realistic path to implementing Odoo in a way that would solve our business objectives. We formally requested a refund of the prepaid amount, but this request was refused. We share this experience so that other business owners carefully document all technical requirements, request detailed written implementation plans, and verify integration capabilities before making any advance payments. We remain open to a constructive and professional resolution of this matter.

I am working as an IT Support professional in a company that uses Odoo, and based on our experience I feel it is important to share some honest feedback for other business owners who are considering Odoo in the Middle East. From the technical side, when issues happen in the system or implementation mistakes occur, the resolution process can be very frustrating. Instead of taking responsibility or properly investigating the issue, it often feels like the priority is to protect their partner companies rather than helping the actual customer who is facing the problem. As an IT support person, I am the one dealing with these issues internally, and it becomes extremely difficult when there is no clear accountability. Even when the mistake is clearly from the partner side, escalation to Odoo Middle East does not always lead to a fair or transparent solution. ERP systems are critical for daily business operations, and companies depend on reliable support when problems occur. Unfortunately, in our case the support structure and partner accountability did not meet the expectations we had when choosing Odoo. My advice to other business owners is to be extremely careful before selecting an implementation partner and to clearly understand the level of support you will receive if problems arise. Once the system is implemented, resolving serious issues can become much more complicated than expected. I hope Odoo Middle East improves its customer support policies and ensures that businesses receive fair treatment rather than prioritizing partner relationships.

للأسف، تجربتي مع نظام Odoo لم تكن كما توقعت إطلاقًا. قمت بالاشتراك لمدة سنتين ودفع مبالغ كبيرة، على أمل تحسين إدارة أعمالي، لكن الواقع كان مختلفًا تمامًا بسبب سوء التنفيذ من قبل الشريك الموكل من اودو (Partner) المسؤول عن التطبيق. أبرز المشاكل التي واجهتها: الفريق المنفذ يفتقر إلى الخبرة والاحترافية. عدم القدرة على تهيئة النظام بما يتناسب مع طبيعة العمل. بطء شديد في الاستجابة وحل المشاكل. وهذا الامر الذي يجعلني ان الغي التعاقد مع اودو ان مدير الحساب التابع لـ Odoo لا يرد على الاتصالات أو المتابعة. الشركة اودو على علم بتقصير الشريك، ومع ذلك لم يتم اتخاذ أي إجراء فعّال. بعد كل هذا الاستثمار من الوقت والمال، لم أحقق أي فائدة حقيقية من النظام.

At first, I was very positive about Odoo and excited to explore its modules. However, once we made the payment and started the implementation, the experience quickly changed. The system has numerous bugs, and resolving them takes an unreasonably long time. We purchased four modules two months ago, but only two have been implemented so far, as we had to spend a significant amount of time dealing with ongoing issues. Customer support has been unresponsive, and our accounting processes are currently on hold while these problems are being addressed. We also have no clear timeline for when the remaining modules will be implemented, as our messages are often left unanswered. Given this experience, I would not recommend this service at its current price point. It may be more practical to consider simpler and more cost-effective alternatives, such as Zoho.

Horrible experience with Odoo middle east. We were better off without Odoo. They say you buy hours for implementing and training but they actually bill you for sending meeting minutes, handovers, internal communication, whatsapp messages, scheduling trainings, everything and anything is charged to the client without actual work being done. no support, lack of transparency from the beginning. They will leave you mid project if your hours are finished. They will not work if you dont pay more. Overall, horrible experience and would not recommend to any business owner.

Our experience with Odoo has been extremely disappointing. We signed a contract with them at the beginning of 2025 for an ERP implementation that was supposed to be completed within six months. More than a year later, not a single module has been fully delivered or functions properly. I had previously filed a complaint, after which a Sales Manager contacted me, promising that the project would be completed within three months if I removed my earlier review and postponed the final payment until full delivery. We trusted that promise, removed the review, and allowed the team to continue — but again, nothing was completed. The project manager assigned to us was supposed to be a qualified professional who understands accounting and manufacturing workflows, but unfortunately, she turned out to be very inexperienced and had no real accounting knowledge at all. We had to spend countless hours just explaining basic accounting concepts to her so she could communicate them to the developers. Even after all that, when we tested the implementation, everything was full of errors and bugs — nothing worked as expected. Since then, we’ve had endless meetings and follow-ups without any actual progress. Communication is extremely slow, the same issues are repeated again and again, and our company has suffered major losses in both time and money. Our latest email has been ignored for more than two weeks. They even gave inconsistent explanations, falsely claiming we changed project requirements between 2024 and 2025 — which is completely untrue, as our contract clearly proves the project started only in 2025. We have all the emails, screenshots, and documents that clearly show these issues and inconsistencies. Odoo has not fulfilled any of their promises, and working with them has been unprofessional and frustrating from day one. I strongly advise not to sign or contract with Odoo at all. They take payments, make promises, assign unqualified people, and then completely disappear — leaving clients stuck, delayed, and facing serious financial losses instead of results.

Our experience with Odoo Middle East has been very disappointing. There is a serious lack of transparency throughout the engagement, and the after-sales support is extremely poor. Once the project moved beyond implementation, communication became inconsistent and issues were not handled in a timely or professional manner. Overall, the service did not meet our expectations, and we are dissatisfied with the level of support provided.

I had the opportunity to attend a one-day training session at the Odoo Head Office, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Seems this company is not interested in new clients. i have booked an appointment at 3pm today with Afreedi Kinattingal but we did not receive any link nor reschedule email. I decided to call the \Dubai office, after choosing number 2 for sales I keep being kicked out for no available agent. I tried emergency but the same happens. very bad for someone who is interested to buy your service.

I was using Odoo’s so-called “one free app” version when, my entire database was suddenly locked with a message saying the trial had ended. At no point was it clearly disclosed that this was a time-limited trial—I had been using it for months under the assumption it was genuinely free. Now all our business data is held hostage, my staff has lost access to their work, and we are being forced to subscribe to a paid plan just to regain access to our own data. This is an extremely deceptive practice. The “one free app” offer appears to be nothing more than a bait-and-switch tactic designed to trap users and pressure them into paid subscriptions after locking their database. I got in touch with someone after wasting an entire work day trying to reach them, and apparently i had installed some app, which triggered the upgrade. And I am 100% certain that i didn’t as i only use it to assign leads to my staff. They install the app themselves so they can trigger the upgrade. Just a cheap tactic. Fortunately i was able to get access to my database back. And now im going to move another crm asap.

Odoo is a good system with strong features, but their customer service, training, and support need major improvement. The employees in Dubai, unfortunately, don’t seem to have deep knowledge of the system, which makes the experience frustrating. I would not recommend purchasing directly from them—instead, it’s better to work with experienced partners who truly understand Odoo.

Highly recommend Odoo, it so useful and easy. we start use it in our compnay, I make the contract with them in Dubai with Mr. Khalil from Sales and then Mr. Mohammed Riane take the project and he is so cooperative and responsive.

From my experience, the system is not easy to use, and the tutorial videos provided cannot be relied upon, as they are recorded on older Odoo versions with different menus and layouts compared to the new version I received with my subscription. The surprise came when I contacted support for clarification on certain points in Odoo, only to be informed that I need to purchase a training bundle !! This requirement was not clearly stated during the subscription process, and I consider it a hidden cost.
