Good place for a quick getaway, coffee was good and the food was tasty, picked up some bread and some pickle which I’m yet to try, their bakery is amazing and a must try Deserts also are amazing Do try !! We were served by Vivek Sharma, good professional person, thank you !!

Old Madras Baking Company has always been one of my go-to places for fresh and delicious bakes. Their apple pie is absolutely amazing — perfectly balanced and comforting every single time. However, I really miss their passion fruit tart, which used to be my absolute favourite! Hope they bring it back soon. Still, the quality and flavour of everything else keep me coming back.

Really bad experience. Hot Chennai day and wanted some cold refreshing salads so chose tuna salad and egg salad. Open box and the tuna color grey and dried on side of box and lettuce completely soggy, wet, brown. Took to counter and said we can’t eat this it’s old. Staff was unresponsive and just stared back. Went back to table to open egg salad and same exact thing…egg salad discolored, dry, brown color and lettuce was wilted brown not fresh or crisp. Took to counter and said we cant eat this stale food. Staff again “deer in headlights”. I ask for fresh ones and they said “comes from main kitchen”. Like I care? Dont serve disgusting food. Bad food, bad service, not a good vibe at all. 🙁

I've been to several branches of Old Madras Baking Company, this Alwapet branch has more and better breads and processed foods, such as fruits jam, sauces, organic sugar, and cereals. It has a long table to take a rest in the middle. Many customers came to buy breads in the morning. My favorite bread is coconut bun.

The cupcake was freshly baked.The ambience is very good and the staff Vivek and Akshara were very polite with us .Overall the experience was very good

If you love the smell of freshly baked bread, this place is akin to heaven! The decor is rustic and beautiful, and the diverse variety of bread, cold cuts, pastries and other baked items showcases their culinary art. I loved their Danish pastry and the Portugese custard pie! Service was top notch. Would definitely recommend for quality bread and baked items. Will surely revisit to try other items on their menu!

Great quality Crossiant, Pastry and Bun. Many other bakery items on offer. Coffee is unncesarily costly and pretty average. Danish pastry was the most delicious one on menu. Danish bun was great as well. Every item is freshly baked and served and you might even find fast moving items out of stock and it may take upto 1.5 hours for the next batch to be ready.

Place has a wonderful atmosphere with yellow lights and wooden interiors, the old times bakery aesthetic was beautifully brought out. The options available were scarce at the time of our visit(on a tuesday evening). Location is not the most convenient to reach by walk, but there is a bus stand just a few feet away from the store. No car parking either. Two wheeler parking available.

as good and genuine as their name. Awesome bread and pastries. Fresh ! Not enough parking but safe Old french cafe ambience. A lot Italian and french condiments on sale.

Located on the TTK Road they provide Very hygienic and freshly baked pastries. It’s worth the visit but the price is little bit high. Banana bread , Cinnamon Bomb and Coconut buns are yummy! 😍 Breads are also good and wish they could at-least provide a best before date for the items Updated on 2-jul-22 We got the Gluten free bread and it was a total disappointment. The outer layers of the bread were very hard and its a waste of money.

Great place to spend an hour with our friends and family. The coffee is good, their Margaritas are amazing. Great ambiance. Must visit

After reading many good reviews, decided to check out this place on a pleasant summer day. The aroma of this bakery is awesome. I realised how poor the quality of breads are, after tasting their breads. I would make sure to go to this place again and again and again. The ambiance is fairly nice especially with the woodwork sitting acting as an interesting charm. There is just a single big table but this place is more ideal for takeaways. Ordered butter croissant: They just melted in their mouth. Garlic toast: Immense pleasure while tasting with sauces. Margarita pizza: Too good though it seems very pricey. Banana bread: This was the best so far. Couldn't stop eating honestly Also tried their hot chocolate which was just different from that of others. I just walked home with total satisfaction. Cheers to OMBC!!

Excellent spot to hang out for an hour with our loved ones. They have fantastic pastry and good coffee. Great ambiance. Need to get there

Nice coffe place and bakery found all over Chennai. I tried the Victorian Sponge cake and coffee it was around 200 rupees. A really cute place to celebrate something or go with friends. Close to The nagar and many other areas

If I could have every item they offer, I would! They have a mouthwatering menu, and the food lived up to it! Must-visit! Don't miss the delicious Danish Custard Croissant...

Welcomed by the good aroma of fresh breads , I got Triple cheese sandwich and chicken sandwich. They were fresh and layered up hygienically (We can actually see them making it) . Hot chocolate and coffee were not that great . Not enough parking space . Bit on the pricey side !

The Chocolate chip cookies are to die for! Definitely a must-have. The pound cake is also quite nice. Overall, a good bakery for not too-over-the-top cakes.
