Origami Sushi Jumeirah Road

Had one of the best sushi experiences in Dubai at Origami Sushi Jumeirah Road near Burj Al Arab. Everything was seriously incredible. The gyoza were packed with flavor, the wagyu grill was perfectly cooked and insanely tender, and the sushi was some of the freshest and best I’ve had in the city. The quality, presentation, atmosphere, everything felt top tier. One of those places where every dish hits. Definitely a must-try if you love Japanese food in Dubai. 🍣🔥

Was looking for a late-night dining spot and luckily came across Origami Sushi - the kitchen was still open, which was a win already. I was really impressed with the sushi selection. The black cod and tiger tempura maki were definitely my favorites, and the beef gyoza were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted incredibly fresh - big compliments to the chefs! The restaurant itself was quiet and had a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back.

The restaurant itself was beautiful loved the interior it gave Japan vibes. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely outstanding the Wagyu gyozas were out of this world, I wanted to order another portion but I was so full. But it still lives rent free in my head. The sushi was fresh. Everything was delicious. I fully recommend this place!!!

Everything we had was delicious. Its located infront of the beach, so we finished our lunch and then we had a great beach walk under the sun.

Came here for dinner on 13th Dec 2025. Beautiful tasting sushi. Everything was nice and delicious. Staffs are friendly, nice chat with a male server. Place was a bit too dark but overall had a great time ending my night.

After a long day at work, this dinner at ORIGAMI was exactly what I needed. The atmosphere is a vibe—warm, modern, and unmistakably Japanese in spirit, serving truly authentic Japanese cuisine. I started with the Crab Salad: pure umami, light yet full of flavor. Next came the Beef Wagyu Gyoza—rich, tender, and absolutely mouthwatering. The Tuna Ceviche stole the spotlight for me; a creative blend of flavors that felt almost musical on the palate. It captures what a thoughtful dish should be. I tried the Prawn Yakisoba as well—an exciting twist on the classic, with a subtle spicy kick and a perfect balance of savory noodles and fresh prawns. To finish, the house-complimentary Peanut Butter Fondant was a revelation. The warm fondant melts beautifully, giving the dark chocolate a new personality alongside the peanut butter, all elevated by vanilla ice cream. A memorable ending to a wonderful dining experience. I tried several dishes, and my favorites were the Japanese potato salad and dynamite shrimp. The location was amazing, and the staff were very friendly.

Similar to the Dubai Mall location, Origami Jumeirah is a minimalist, exclusive spot serving high-quality Japanese dishes. My favorite and highly recommended items are the black cod skewers and the tenderloin robata. The location is privileged, with views of Kite Beach and a large outdoor space. The service is friendly and professional. Unlike other restaurants in the area, Origami maintains its quality while blending a local neighborhood feel. One of my favorite spots on Kite Beach.

There are no words—Origami Sushi (Jumeirah branch) is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Dubai! The chefs are exceptional, and every dish was a masterpiece. From the sushi and Wagyu sando to the appetizers, everything was simply perfect. The view of Burj Al Arab, the sandy beach, and the boats created a truly unforgettable atmosphere. The drinks and desserts were also outstanding, with beautiful presentation and incredibly fresh flavors. A special shoutout to Saleih, our waiter, who was incredibly polite, professional, and attentive—he made the experience even more enjoyable. I can confidently say that there’s no better sushi in Dubai. If you love Japanese cuisine and sushi, whether you’re a tourist or a local, you must try this place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended

A Delicious Experience at Origami Jumeirah We ordered a wide variety of dishes, from the Braised Short Rib Bop to the Otoro New Style, Rock Shrimp, and Edamamec and honestly, almost everything was a 9.5/10 or 10/10. The food was hot, super fresh, and came out really fast, which we loved. The Yellowtail Roll was a bit too fishy for my personal taste, but my cousin enjoyed it, so it depends on your preference. Considering how much we ordered, the portions were generous, and the total price was honestly a surprise, in a good way. Great value for what we got, and we’d definitely come again. The only two things we didn’t love: the restaurant was a bit too dark, and some guests were loud, which was slightly annoying. But overall, the food and service made it totally worth it. Highly recommend!

I have been to Origami several times in Jumeirah and then also in Dubai Mall. This occasion in Jumeirah the experience was really poor. The front of house lady should not have that job - she could barely cope with basic conversations. I also watched her struggle to have conversations with other diners where should did not fulfill basic customer requests. When I told her we were ready to order she said "just wait". This in of itself is inexcusable language, but when I challenged her she said she does not take food orders. I explained fine so then get me someone who does. The service in general was disgraceful - waiters never being around outside - taking three times to order food or a drink. I have not seen such poor service in a while. The food was ok. Miso soup was inedible. The usual favourite crispy rice with tuna was overloaded with the tuna mix. Rolls were average. The yellowtail with weird sauce was a nice attempt at a change from usual yellowtail dishes, but ended up being unappealing. Tuna pizza was good as always. Crab salad may as well have come out of a packet. However the only bright spark was Ruben - without him the place would fall apart. He was doing service, sorting out front of house, moving chairs, taking bill payments. Basically doing everything the rest of the team was not competent to do. The two stars for service are for him only, as the rest was awful. If he wasn't there I'd give zero stars for service. I won't be going back soon.
