Pakati Market

This needs an update , quite few stalls . Some interesting vendors will do for you custom made pieces but otherwise a run of the mill curio center

Dachte der sei grösser, aber bietet schon sehr viele Souvenirs aller Art. Stein, Holz, Stoffe, Textilen, Malereien, Schmuck. Liess mir sagen beum Preis auf ein Drittel bieten und dann schlussendlich etwas unter der Hälfte des gesannten Preises landen. Bei kleineren Sachen, liessen wir das runterhandeln und liessen den sozialen Gedanken walten.

Hustling, bustling market that takes place on Sundays. It's a great place to find bargains on authentic local crafts, clothing and accessories. There were some beautiful paintings that I wanted to buy but wouldn't have been able to pack in my luggage. Awesome furniture there too. Lots of places to eat as well. Be ready to negotiate, if they think you're a tourist, they are giving you a higher price. Generally they can afford to give you at least 20 - 30 kwacha off the initial price, I even bargained items for 150K down to 100K.

This is a Sunday market that attracts different types of traders at the arcades shopping mall car park. Traders of fabric to sculptures and other traditional art products are displayed and sold at very affordable prices.

Craft market. The seller must a bit innovative. If the hippo or giraffe they are selling had "Zambia" probably it would be different from that one the tourist saw in ivory coast ,Malawi Nigeria etc

Great beautiful pieces! However, the pakati market tends to be a little over priced. These items can be bought for lower prices at the Kabwata Cultural Village.

A great market. I have come here many times over the years on my trips to Lusaka. Great place to get African souvenirs.

Beautiful market with a variety of souvenirs to choose from. It's also located near a couple of shopping malls which is great.

Great market for African wear and art crafts...the pictures prove it... Just come loaded with a lot of cash to spend

Its seems like a museum but its not this is great and amazing to see difference sculptures
