The Dolby Atmos sound was at its peak and truly immersive. The entire theatre was very neat and clean, adding to the comfort. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend Palaxi Cinemas to anyone looking for a premium movie experience 🎬✨

One of the best cinemas in the state. The quality of projection is impeccable. You may trust this cinemas for any good visual experience films. The sound projection is also remarkable. The films always start on time. The food and beverages inside the cinemas are not economical. I think they charge more than PVR.

Awful experience at Palaxi Cinemas, HiLITE Mall. Jan 3, 11:00 PM show (Audi 3). A staff member took a food order after the movie had already started and stood blocking my view, causing me to miss nearly 5 minutes of the film. This shows poor staff training and lack of supervision during shows. One staff member’s careless behavior completely ruined the experience. Very disappointing.

One of the best theatres in Calicut, offering excellent sound quality and one of the largest screens in the city. They also provide comfortable recliner seats and sofas, making the movie experience even better. The prices are like 480 for recliner and 240 normal. The premises and washrooms are clean and well maintained. The interval is a bit long, ranging from 10 to 25 minutes. Food options are available but on the costlier side.

Palaxy Cinemas, HiLite Mall Kozhikode watching Loka with my wife. The ambience was modern and comfortable, the sound and picture quality were excellent, and the seating was very cozy. The staff was polite and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. It was the perfect place to enjoy a movie together, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more shows. I visited Palaxi Cinemas at HiLITE Mall yesterday and had a good overall experience. The theatre is clean, modern, and definitely one of the better options in Calicut if you're looking for a premium movie outing. The cinema has 8 screens, including Kerala’s first EPIQ large-format screen, two Signature recliner screens, and other screens with Dolby Atmos and 7.1 surround sound setups. I watched the film in Screen 7, which uses SLS speakers. The sound quality was sharp and immersive - dialogues were clear, and the surround effects were well balanced. The picture quality was also great, with vibrant colors and good brightness. Seating was comfortable with decent legroom, even though it wasn’t a recliner screen. The lobby is spacious, the staff were polite, and the overall ambiance feels premium. Restrooms and waiting areas were clean and well-maintained. One thing to note - the food prices are quite high. A basic popcorn or drink can cost almost as much as the movie ticket. If you're planning to eat, keep that in mind. Booking was easy through BookMyShow, and entry through the mall parking area was smooth. Parking is available in the HiLITE Mall basement, and the lift takes you directly to the cinema floor. In short, Palaxi offers a very good viewing experience with modern facilities, especially with screens like EPIQ and Signature. Just be prepared for expensive snacks. Reduced one star because of extra parking fee and snack's price. Nice place to watch movies. I watched demon slayer infinity castle movie in their EPIQ Screen (screen 4). The palaxi theatre has 7 or 8 screens and is located on the top floor of highlite mall, Kozhikode. Pros: The audio-video immersive experience was great. The screen is really big and immersive. All the seatings were comfortable. There is a baggage counter where travellers can keep their big bags. It was a great experience within the theatre hall. Overall reception area looks great and ambient.Also there is reserved wheelchair seats. Cons: Small hand bags were allowed inside after forcefull open bag inspection. This made me very uncomfortable as it feels like violation of my right to privacy. Although the place offers a wide range of food options and delivery by our seats, it is very expensive.For reference, a bottle of water costs 70rs, normal coffee costs 80rs and outside food is strictly prohibited, hence the bag check.

Booked Signature Class seats for Kalamkaval (07 Dec, 9:30 PM) at Palaxi Cinemas — you know, the “premium” experience where staff supposedly come and take your food orders. Placed my order before intermission, paid ₹839 via Google Pay, sat back… and waited. And waited. And waited. Food never arrived. Maybe it was also watching the movie somewhere else — who knows. When I asked for a refund, the staff confidently told me the bill was ₹789. Fascinating, considering Google Pay very clearly shows ₹839. Basic math seems to be a premium feature here. For a multiplex that proudly flaunts “Best Multiplex Awards” everywhere, it’s surprising how they struggle with something as simple as delivering food that customers have already paid for. Honestly, still trying to understand what the “Signature” in Signature Class stands for — because it’s definitely not service.

I had an amazing experience at Palaxi Cinemas with the Epic Screen in Kozhikode! The huge screen and immersive sound made the movie feel so much more engaging. The picture quality was excellent and the seating was comfortable throughout. Staff were polite and the theatre was clean and well maintained. Definitely one of the best places in Kozhikode for a great cinema experience — highly recommended!

Watched Lokah at Palaxi Cinema, Calicut. The theater had good seating and clear sound, but the screen brightness could have been better. The movie was engaging with a fresh storyline. Overall, a decent experience.

Treated like criminals for carrying baby food — staff here have zero empathy for parents with kids. I’ve never had such a bad experience at a cinema before, especially as a parent with a toddler. We came in with a few small containers of baby food. Security stopped us, and I understood — so I kept most of them at the baggage counter without any fuss. All I had left in my bag was a tiny 100ml milkshake, 3 small cookies, and a small milk dessert (about 200ml) — just enough to keep my toddler happy during the show. The lady at the counter (photo attached) still pulled them out and said, “No, you have no choice, we’ll just keep it here.” The way she spoke to me was as if I’d done something wrong. I asked if I’d get them back — she just said no. It was humiliating. Anyone with a toddler knows — they’re picky eaters. If you don’t give them their familiar snacks, they get cranky, cry, and disturb everyone else’s movie. I thought cinemas would understand this, but apparently not here. I asked for the manager, hoping he’d be more understanding. Instead, he raised his voice and said, “How much are you going to feed the child?” Not even IMAX or PVR treat customers like this. While we were talking, another lady walked by and told us she’d faced the exact same issue here. So clearly, this is not a one-off incident. The level of “checking” here is more intense than international airports — but without any of the courtesy or respect. We were even planning to buy our own food from their counter (and bought their water when they stopped ours), but after this treatment, we asked for a refund. The manager said, “We don’t care if you watch or not, we won’t give you a refund.” We left without watching the movie, feeling robbed and insulted. This wasn’t about rules — it was about a total lack of empathy, common sense, and basic respect. Photos of the staff member and the checking counter attached — if you’re coming with kids, be prepared for a very unpleasant experience.

A really good theatre experience overall. The EPIQ screen is absolutely fantastic with great visuals and sound-definitely the highlight. Their Signature screen is also worth trying at least once for the unique experience. The only downside is that ticket prices can vary quite a bit at times. Still, a solid place to watch movies with premium-quality screens.
