Very unique museum with interesting displays of Paradjanov’s artwork. If you’re a fan of arthouse cinema, this is a treat. Very few displays in English so you have to let the pieces speak for themselves which they largely do. £3 entry cost is more than decent. Small shop where I’d like to have spent more but limited space in my luggage!

A treasure. While most people know Parajanov solely from his films, that is really a small portion of his oeuvre. He was an incredible artist who worked in numerous media. The museum indeed has production sketches and designs for the films (and the lobby a large collection of posters), but also a number of family photos/documents/history, and a vast collection of his original works: multimedia, collage, bricolage, objet trouvé, low relief, et al. It’s a relatively small, seven-room museum but Parajanov’s art demands such scrutiny that you could spend hours there pouring over everything.

Visiting the Parajanov Museum was an unforgettable experience and easily one of the highlights of my trip to Yerevan. Nestled on a hillside with beautiful views of the city, this museum offers a deep and moving insight into the life, creativity, and genius of Sergei Parajanov – one of the most original filmmakers and artists of the 20th century. The museum is set in a charming traditional house where Parajanov spent his final years. Each room is packed with his personal artworks, collages, drawings, installations, and film-related materials that showcase his vibrant imagination and unique artistic voice. Even if you’re not familiar with his films beforehand, you’ll be captivated by the surreal, poetic, and symbolic world he created. The curators have done an excellent job preserving the atmosphere and presenting the exhibits in a way that feels personal and intimate. The museum is not too big, so you can take your time to absorb each detail without feeling overwhelmed. There’s also a helpful guidebook available in multiple languages, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Whether you’re into cinema, art, history, or simply curious about Armenia’s cultural treasures, the Parajanov Museum is a must-see. It’s a place that inspires creativity and stays with you long after you leave. Don’t miss it!

Well organized museum with interesting pieces from Parajanov's art - movies as well as his photography. And some details from his life too, which I wish were more. I guess you have to pay for a guide to learn more, I'm not sure how much they tell you though. Overall, if you already know enough about Parajanov, it's a good place to check out.

One of the most remarkable museums I’ve ever visited. I was deeply impressed by the maestro’s works—truly phantasmagorical creations. Highly recommend visiting if you appreciate art! - 100% recommendation.

It’s a lovely place, and the entrance ticket is 1,500. You’ll get to see his artworks as well as his room—such a unique and artistic space. I just wish it had a coffee shop. The staff were really nice, helpful, and kind. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to leave your bag in the lockers they provide before entering the museum.

A must-visit. Really good museum with a lot of Paradjanov's works (besides his movies). After going through all the rooms you will be able to see his true character. I didn't really start to love him (because I don't understand him well), but I admit that thanks to the museum I saw him as a genius.

Great museum showcasing Sergeis work. Lots yo see and think about. Feels like there could be a lot more information to accompany the art but perhaps that's when you need the local tour guide to explain some of the art and put it into some context.
