Absolute Nightmare - Gross Mismanagement
& Misleading Practices
My stay at Park Plaza Hotel, Zirakpur from 20th to 26th November, where I booked 6 rooms for my family and also hosted a wedding function at their banquet, was nothing short of a complete nightmare. This property is a total disgrace to the hospitality industry and does not deserve to operate under any reputed brand name.
To begin with, the hotel wrongfully charged 12% GST and revised it to 5% only after l confronted them, clearly reflecting misleading billing practices and an attempt to overcharge guests unless questioned. Matters only worsened after checkout. The front office and marketing team are the most irresponsible and unprofessional staff I have ever encountered.It has been over 40 days since checkout, and despite repeated calls and follow-ups, they deliberately avoid responding. At checkout, they collected all my bank details and later sent their FOM team to assure me that the refund would be processed by the last week of December. Till date, there has been no refund, no update, and no response-only complete silence.
The rooms are an outright fraud. The images shown on the website are fake and highly misleading. The actual rooms resemble those of a poorly maintained 1-star hotel-pathetic, unhygienic, outdated, and shockingly neglected. It is unbelievable that such rooms are being sold under the banner of a so-called premium hotel.
For even the most basic amenities, guests are forced to call the reception 10-20 times.
Shockingly, there is no tissue box provided in the room, which is a bare minimum even in budget accommodations. Their so-called
"WOW factor" seems limited to meaningless gestures like cost cutting, while guests are left begging for basic necessities.
The night operations are an absolute joke. As openly stated by their Front Office Manager, the night staff does not handle guest requests, and guests are bluntly told to "ask the morning shift." This level of incompetence, laziness, and disregard for guests is unacceptable and shameful.
This hotel functions with zero accountability, zero ethics, and zero professionalism. The staff is untrained, careless, and indifferent, and the management shows complete disregard for guest experience, commitments, and financial responsibility. There are many more serious issues, but listing them all would take pages.
This property is surviving purely on a brand name it does not deserve. I strongly warn everyone to stay away from this hotel, especially if you are planning an important event such as a wedding.
Worst experience of my life. A complete waste of money, time, and peace of mind.
