Paya Oil Refining Company was established in February 2017 with the aim of establishing an oil processing unit in Hormozgan Province, on the northern side of Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company. The initial engineering studies of this project were carried out in 2018, but more serious progress in the field of commissioning and construction began after the purchase of 100% of its shares by Tharwat Paya Management Holding in March 2019. Following these changes and developments, and due to the continuous efforts of the management team and partners of this project, the company's oil processing unit was inaugurated in February 2019 with a production capacity of 94 thousand tons of SN 90 base oil and 15 thousand tons of light slack wax, simultaneously with the presence of Mr. Dr. Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and its operation began in March of the same year. With the achievement of this goal, the fifth company producing first-refined base oil in the country has entered the market for this product. One of the advantages of this project is that its feedstock is supplied from Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, located on the southern side of the company. Also, the close distance to Shahid Rajaee Port is an important advantage for exporting our products. In terms of product quality, due to the high precision in the engineering stage and strict supervision in the manufacturing stage and the quality of the incoming feed, this unit has the ability to sustainably produce its products with excellent characteristics such as very low sulfur content and high flash point. Also, due to the company's extensive blending facilities, a variety of industrial oil products with the specifications requested by customers can be produced and delivered.
