This would most probably get taken down because it’s bound to ruin the pristine online façade this “specialist” seems to maintain, but I want to point my experience out in detail. Unprofessional and dismissive. Consulted members of the same family on the same issue, violating the cardinal rule of mind medicine. Projected general cultural expectations onto professional opinion. Instead of addressing domestic violence that was brought out as the primary concern, she diverted into irrelevant generalizations about “Indian parenting,” laughed at parts of the discussion. Showed poor listening and comprehension. Formed strong opinions in the very first session without understanding the situation. Felt like a complete waste of time, energy, and money. I’d recommend choosing your psychiatrist carefully. Not everybody lives upto the self-proclaimed “expertise” image.
