This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The service at Verde restaurant was unacceptable, and the behavior of the manager, Katherina, was shockingly unprofessional.
We waited more than one full hour for our food while watching multiple tables that arrived after us receive their meals first. That alone was frustrating enough, but when my food finally arrived, it was completely wrong. I had clearly ordered a medium-well steak, yet what they served was well-done, dry, and extremely chewy.
When I pointed this out, the staff casually said they could remake it in 5 minutes. This is honestly unbelievable. If it can be done in 5 minutes, how did it take over an hour to bring the first one? It clearly shows a serious lack of organization and respect for customers’ time.
Unfortunately, the situation became even worse when the manager, Katherina, came to the table. Instead of apologizing or trying to solve the issue, she was rude, dismissive, and extremely defensive. She insisted that the restaurant had done nothing wrong and showed zero accountability for the delay or the incorrect order.
What made the experience even more inappropriate was that she asked me if I was Israeli, which was completely irrelevant and highly unprofessional to ask a customer in the middle of a complaint.
Between the one-hour delay, the wrong and poorly cooked steak, the disorganized service, and the incredibly disrespectful attitude from management, this experience was unacceptable from start to finish.
A restaurant that treats customers this way and refuses to take responsibility for obvious mistakes does not deserve anyone’s time or money. I strongly recommend people think twice before dining here.
