Extremely Disappointing Experience at star Al Zwad Restaurant! Nahda 2, pond park.
Al Zwad seriously needs to rethink its customer handling and food quality. They claim to be a 24-hour restaurant — but only on paper!
We had ordered four shawarmas, and what we received was beyond unacceptable — no pickles, torn shawarmas, and the stuffing done entirely as per their own convenience. The food was inedible; the entire wrap was stuck to the paper, making it impossible to eat.
When I called to raise the concern, the person at the counter had zero ethics or manners. Instead of addressing the issue, he kept giving contradictory excuses — saying the “khubus is different,” or “pickles are finished,” and when I requested a replacement, he suddenly said “shawarma is finished” too! If that was the case, why accept the order in the first place? To make things worse, he hung up on my calls, which is unacceptable.
This isn’t the first time either — their biryani always arrives with a foul, rotten smell, clearly made from old ingredients. Every time, the same excuses, the same poor service. When confronted, the staff even argued that replacing it with fried rice (which costs more) was somehow a favor — unbelievable!
Al Zwad’s behavior and food quality are completely unacceptable and unreliable. They have no sense of responsibility or respect toward customers, and their food is far from fresh or worth the price. Definitely not a place you can trust for good food or honest service.
