I had a wonderful stay at Clock Inn Colombo, and it exceeded my expectations for a budget-friendly hotel. Its location is highly convenient, with easy access to public transport, a variety of restaurants, and many of Colombo’s main attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing everything needed for a pleasant stay. I especially appreciated the lockers, which added an extra layer of security for personal belongings. The common areas were cozy and thoughtfully arranged, creating a relaxed environment where it was easy to meet and interact with other travelers. What truly stood out was the staff. They were consistently friendly, approachable, and always willing to help with directions, recommendations, or travel tips, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the hostel was warm and welcoming, giving it a homely feel rather than just a place to sleep. They had no private parking and you have to park by the side of main road which is in front of the hotel. Overall, Clock Inn Colombo offers excellent value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and a strong sense of community, making it a great choice for travelers in Colombo.

I had a wonderful stay at the Clock Inn Hotel. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a great place to relax. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. I would especially like to thank Vasee for their kindness, dedication, and excellent service. They truly made my stay more enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable experience.

I don’t know how is this place running, i booked a mixed dorm, ceiling above me had sepage, beds were creaking all night and the there was real bad smell coming from the washroom area. And i asked them to give me a lower bunk but the lady at counter said it’s not available and in my dorm one lower bunk was empty the entire night. And when i checked in the bed wasn’t even made, i had to ask them to get it done. I don’t think l I’ll ever recommend it to anyone. Only decent thing was the location and price probably but I’m sure better ones are available.

Stayed here for 2 nights and overall had a good experience. The location was really convenient and the staff, especially Kaweesha and Ansana, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also nice. The only downside was that the room looked a bit older and smaller than it appeared in the photos. But for a short stay, it was comfortable and the staff made the experience better.

I used to stay in the property last few months. The quality of service is one of the best service in the city. Specially the staff are very friendly and helpful. I always do my bookings through the mr.kugan. the person very dedicated on the business. Location also superb. 👍👍👍👍👍

The rooms were nice and comfortable, but the service was disappointing. There was no one available to help with luggage, so I had to carry my bags to the room myself. During breakfast there were flies around, and even a crow entered the dining area. Unfortunately, no staff member came over to handle the situation, which made the experience uncomfortable.

One of the best Hostel for solo travellers providing morning breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff guiding you most of the time for the first time in Srilanka. I really enjoyed staying over here and would recommended others to be here and experience the hospitality of staff specially I would mention Ruban who was very nice.

Ich muss sagen für Leute die sich connecten wollen einen entspannten Tag haben wollen ist der Ort hier gar nichts. Hätte ich nicht gefragt, wäre auf keiner der Toiletten Toiletten Papier, desweiteren sind in manchen Zimmern kakalaken & Schimmel. Ich bin froh nicht so ein Zimmer erwischt zu haben, aber hier kommen nur Leute hin die länger in dem Hostel bleiben. Ich würde es aufkeinen Fall weiterempfehlen, ich denke sie haben die Aufrechterhaltung der Unterkunft vernachlässigt.

位置极佳，出门即达海边和科伦坡大学，步行两分钟看火车日落，周边超市餐厅林立。性价比超高，床铺干净，早餐简单但能吃饱，大堂环境舒适。工作人员大多热情友好，但部分员工服务敷衍。房间偏小，空调噪音较大是通病。设施基础但够用，适合背包客和预算有限的旅客。Barefoot纪念品店就在对面，购物方便。总体来说是科伦坡市中心不错的经济型住宿选择。

The team there are young, helpful and polite, though the place is in old and in need of refurbishment, especially the shower cubicles and toilets. Overall, budget stay is still a steal, value for money.

Room size was OK. Staff was not helpful when I reached at the hotel staff were having lunch so no bell boy was there to attend. Staff had their lunch and went to rest afterwards which was lasted for 30 minutes after lunch So guests had to carry their luggage from ground floor to their rooms at first floor since there were no elevators.

The rooms were tidy, the linens super clean and the breakfast great. We booked a quadruple room it worked well for our family of four.

All together it was a pleasant stay for me. The people answered whenever I reached out. Mr Ruwan and other housekeeper did give me a very good hospitality and was very helpful.

Located at a very prime location in the heart of Colombo, the beach is just 30 seconds away, rooms are clean and staff are very friendly, especially Ashok went above and beyond and was very helpful, prices are very competition no other places offers such great amenities like free buffet breakfast at this price, just loved it!!

If you value your sanity, do NOT stay here. I completely regret booking this place and seriously underestimated how bad it would be. I was put in a room with only men, which already felt uncomfortable. Later, even the receptionist admitted it was not ideal and said they added a woman to the room “so I would feel more comfortable.” That alone says everything. Unfortunately, even after that, the situation didn’t improve — the overall crowd here is extremely strange and unsettling. The hostel is full of creeps and deeply questionable people. Someone vomited in the bathroom sinks — not just one, but two out of three sinks — and did not clean up after himself. In the morning, it was absolutely disgusting trying to brush my teeth. Based on the timing, it appeared to be someone from my room who was gone all night and came back later. This was also the same person who had been staring at me excessively, which made the situation even more disturbing. At breakfast, one person was coughing uncontrollably like he was seriously ill, another looked completely out of it — shaking and talking to his coffee. The general atmosphere felt honestly disturbing. I genuinely felt like there was not a single normal person there. Sleeping was another nightmare. No one turned off the lights until after midnight. When I asked for them to be turned off, someone switched them back on again. One guy fell asleep watching something on his phone, with sound playing nonstop. Later, the only other woman in the room told me I had to get up from the upper bunk to turn the lights off myself. When I said the last person awake should turn them off out of basic decency, she replied, “It’s a hostel, no one cares.” That pretty much sums up the place — zero respect, zero consideration for others. The room itself is tiny. The only positive thing I can say is that the AC worked. Breakfast was included, but that doesn’t even begin to make up for the experience. Wi-Fi was another nightmare. My own internet didn’t work in the room, so they gave me a hostel login. It didn’t work because too many people were already logged in, and I was told other devices would need to log out — which I obviously have no control over. Result: no Wi-Fi all night. This was a horrible stay from start to finish. I felt uncomfortable, grossed out, and stressed the entire time. I truly made a mistake booking here and couldn’t wait to get out. Learn from my experience — stay somewhere else.

The value for money is amazing, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best stays I’ve had in Colombo. Highly recommend Clock Inn Colombo to anyone visiting the city.
