I ordered plain naan and butter naan, which were decent and fairly well prepared — nothing exceptional, but acceptable. However, the biggest disappointment was the paneer butter masala. It was honestly one of the worst I’ve had. The dish seemed to contain an excessive amount of artificial food colouring — so much so that it stained my hands and even my nails, which was very off-putting. Apart from the colour, the taste was also disappointing and did not feel fresh or authentic. On a positive note, the momo was quite good — well cooked and tasty.

Visited Tama Restaurant & Bar on a busy Friday evening, and despite the crowd, the service was impressively quick. Orders were taken promptly and the food arrived without much delay, which was a pleasant surprise. The place works well if you’re looking for a simple, no-fuss meal. While the food isn’t bad, it doesn’t leave a strong impression either. One thing that affected the experience was that some dishes were served not hot enough, which slightly took away from the overall taste. Tama is still a convenient spot for a casual visit, especially when you want something quick without overthinking where to eat. With better attention to serving food hot and maintaining consistency, the experience could be much more satisfying.

The food was average, but the service was disappointing. We had to ask multiple times for water and side plates, and despite the staff counting the number of people at our table, we were still given fewer plates. Good service is important when dining out, and unfortunately, that was lacking here.

Nice atmosphere, suitable for 10-15 people gatherings as well. Mid level food with very long waiting time.

Staying right in the center of Kathmandu and serving food like this is honestly disappointing. The biryani was 0/10. Who calls this biryani and serves something that feels like mixed curd rice and fried rice? 😂 It was nothing close to actual biryani. We also ordered mushroom chilli and cheese balls, and they were honestly some of the worst things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Both items tasted like they had been dipped in a pile of salt — way too salty to even enjoy. And the juice/chocolate milkshake with that cardamom flavor… omg. Why do you even use that third-class whipped cream? Honestly, it would have been more edible without it. This was a huge disappointment for me. Please, at least hire a proper chef 😂 It seriously felt like you made one of your relatives the chef. They didn’t even serve mayonnaise with the cheese balls — instead they gave momo achar with it 😂 Just a genuine review from my side. I’m writing this at 3 AM after coming back because my stomach feels horrible.

A nice restaurant offering good food at reasonable prices. Service is quick, and the quality has been consistently maintained. Their menu has also been thoughtfully upgraded over time. A great place to grab a quick bite or enjoy casual drinks with friends.

Tama is one of the long-standing restaurants in Kathmandu. It is still the same as it was 10 years ago. The food still tastes the same, service is superb, and the ambience is also good.

Tama Restaurant offers a clean and well-maintained dining environment, which is a definite plus for any visitor. The ambiance is simple yet inviting, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. As for the food, it was fairly average. While the menu offers a variety of options, the flavors didn’t stand out as much as expected. The dishes were decent but lacked the distinctiveness or flair that could make the meal truly memorable.

I visited this place for the first time with my friend, and let me tell you it was such a pleasant surprise! Since the place was a bit crowded, I thought the food would take a long time to arrive. But nope it came out really fast, within 15–20 minutes max! There was plenty of space for everyone, and the staff were super welcoming and friendly. As for the food I had tandoori chicken, butter naan, veg curry, and keema naan. Everything was absolutely delicious! And the best part? It was all really affordable. Considering the quality of the food and the vibe of the place, it’s much cheaper than most restaurants I usually go to. So next time I’m craving naan, I’m definitely coming back here 🤝

Affordable and delicious food restaurant in Naxal Kathmandu. Customer service was amiable and welcoming. They serve food so quickly we don't have to wait for long. If you are looking for lunch or dinner, I strongly recommend this place.

Foods are good, very nice ambiance and offer better mune options. Special dishes like Mutton Taas and Khana set are very good. Place is clean and tidy, looks hygiene. Seat are available for singe or groups both. And STAFFS doesn’t behave good. I ordered few items and asked them to bring one by one so that food won’t be cold and will take best of it but the waiter brought all at one and says that you ordered all at once thats why all foods will be placed at table once. They need to behave with customer.

Good food for a reasonably priced menu. Service is fast compared to others even during the prime hours. However, there is still room for improvement a) they should be more accommodating to a group when it comes to seating arrangements. b) distance of trash disposable/ dumpster should be significant from seating areas. So there is no bad smell interfering with qualitative time. Therefore solid 4 stars.

A fantastic place with excellent food and service. The wide range of menu options, and the fact that the establishment has never failed to deliver on its food and service. It's no surprise that the place is always busy given how good food they provide at a very reasonable price . If you haven't visited yet, it’s a must go place to dine!

I have been going to this place for more than 10 years now. Clean. Fast Service. Cordial Staffs. THE MOST AFFORDABLE PLACE EVER. the only drawback being less parking space for 4 wheelers. On yet another visit- 23rd oct 2022 The Chicken Chop wasnt up to the mark. The Chicken Biryani was Sweet. Mo:Mo was good. Schezwan Noodle was good. On anither visit 22nd feb. Garlic naan was good. Chicken Tikka Masala was hastily done. Mo:Mo was juicy and good. Chicken Roast was also good, abet didnt like the Sause that went with it.

We had chicken thali, peshawari naan and tandoori chilli. Others were fine as always but tandoori chilli really disappointed this time.it was highly spicy, salty and not savoury. My expectations are always high whenever we go there. Hope they will improve in the coming days….

Starting from insufficient lighting, untrained staff, and a smelly seating area — the experience was disappointing. We went for dinner, but unfortunately, they don’t serve Khana set in the evening. The staff seemed in a hurry to present the bill while we were still eating. It used to be a very nice place, but it seems it now needs some serious upgrades.

I love everything about this place from food, taste to ambience. Especially love naan and chicken curry. Used to come here for lunch with my colleagues from work-they introduced me this place. Waiting time is also not too long and staffs are also hospitable and serve well.
