Jaiwana Haveli - Lake Facing Hotel

The hotel staff is very polite and helpful. Irshad at the reception gave us useful advice and suggested the must visit places nearby with a map. Gopal is very good at restaurant service. There is an old uncle at the restaurant (I forgot his name) he greeted us with a very sweet gesture. The property is well maintained, Room size was small for this price but that is ok when compared to the nearby properties. The main benefit of this hotel is that every famous place is at the walking distance (Bagore ki Haveli, City Palace, Lal Ghat, Virasat, Jagdish Temple). So it saves taxi/auto fare.

We had a lovely stay at Jaiwana Haveli! Room and facilities were clean and well maintained. Food was very good. Special thanks to the owner and staff for their help. Especially Gopal who served our breakfast and evening drinks who was very nice! The sunsets were amazing- every single night!

One of the best stays I have had in a while. This place has everything, from welcoming staff to beautiful well kept rooms. We were welcomed by Yash and Irshad and they made sure we got the best rooms when we requested lake view. Loved that they have left the traditional haveli touch. The rooftop restaurant staff cooks for you like family. I can go on and on. Surely coming back whenever I am in Udaipur.

It has a great location and great view from the terrace. But sadly wifi was horrible accross all the property, so its a NO for anyone needing to do remote work, digital nomad, online meetings, etc.. But it has its pro's: - Great view from the terrace - Breakfast is amazing, continental and local. - Free water on rooms - Lake view - Stuff in general is amazingly friendly - Everything is really close for tourism - A lot of tourist options offer by the hotel and recomendations Cons: - Horrible Wifi - Bathroom will get flooded and is small - Rooms are small, you wont be confortable with a lot of bags. - The main person of the reception (not Indian) was a little hard to talk to. - It will be loud at night some times as there is a resto bar just infront and you can hear everything from Outside the guest and terrace. - 4 Floors and no lift, breakfast is at the terrace - There is ups and downs to get to the hotel, but a lot of Udaipur is like that.

While the listing suggests a charming lakeside stay, only one out of roughly 24 rooms actually offers the advertised lake view. The remaining rooms are compact (around 10x10). Also, avoid booking online—visit the property, take a room tour, and then decide, unless you enjoy paying premium prices for minimal space. The food, despite an impressive menu design, is not quite value for money. On the bright side, the property looks great from outside, and the terrace lake view is genuinely enjoyable.

Worst Lakeside Hotel Experience in Udaipur This was extremely disappointing and nowhere close to what a lakeside hotel in Udaipur should offer. The staff was super arrogant and unhelpful, acting as if guests were a burden rather than a priority. Basic service requests were ignored or handled with attitude, and there was absolutely no sense of hospitality. The property itself is poorly maintained—rooms felt worn out, common areas were dirty, and the overall upkeep was shocking for a hotel in such a premium location. The lakeside view is the only thing this place has going for it, but even that can’t make up for the terrible service and neglect. Definitely not worth the money, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had a great stay! The location is perfect — just walking distance from City Palace and with amazing views of Lake Pichola. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff was polite, helpful, and gave great local tips. The rooftop restaurant has beautiful views. Overall, a lovely heritage-style stay worth the price.

Great stay at Jaiwana Haveli. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the view of the lake is just beautiful. Everything went smoothly during my stay and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. I would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting Udaipur.

Happy to live there but don't book online , Riiftip hotel staff is doing partiality , we had stayed there for two nights . Restaurant staff is little rude with Indians than foreigners.

I m writing to express my disappointment with food served during my recent visit. The quality nd taste were below standard, It was cold,poorly cooked and lacked taste and also the staff was not attentive to our concern,overall it was waste of time nd money..

We are Extremely disappointed with the food quality today. The Tometo soup, Fried rice and kadai Panner all were tough/bland and definitely didn’t meet the standard I expected for the price. Service was fine, but the meal itself was a letdown. I won't be rushing back anytime soon. Plz take care of all these.

I DIDN'T STAY HERE BUT we made a mistake and the tuc tuc took us to this hotel, instead of our actual hotel. One of the guys at reception (and an excellent cricketer) gave us water, looked after us and sorted out another ride, which during Holi isn't easy! He didn't have to go out of his way to do this but it was much appreciated.

Close to the city center and the Lake view is plus point. You can enjoy breakfast and evening tea with lake view. The ambiance and architecture of the Hotel are Haveli, as its name implies. The service and staff were outstanding when we visit 2-3 years back. 4/5* The room was good, but there was an opportunity for improvement (Humid smell/ambiance in the room and the lobby). 4/5* A restaurant is a romantic gateway with lake view and candlelight. The food and restaurant was really good, and they customized the food for kids. 5/5* Cleanliness and Hygiene 4/5* Overall good place to stay with many activities are closed by.

Все было отлично. Комфортный номер. Вкусный, сытный европейский завтрак с видом на озеро Пичола. Отличное расположение рядом с основными достопримечательностями и магазинчиками. Очень приятный и всегда готовый прийти на помощь персонал. Сотрудник отеля Иршад подробно рассказал, что и когда лучше посетить в Удайпуре. Благодаря ему удалось в сжатые сроки все посмотреть, за что ему большое спасибо. Однозначно рекомендую.

Wonderful hotel right next to the lake. Locally owned unlike many of the other fancy hotels in the city, so you should definitely support it! Also the restaurant on the roof serves nice vegetarian food and has breathtaking sunset views.

I recently stayed at Jaiwana Haveli for 3 nights and absolutely enjoyed it. The location is spot on and minutes of walk away from city palace, gangaur ghaat, bagore ki haveli, etc. The room was spacious with all basic amenities provided. Special mention to Irshad who was very friendly and helpful throughout our time there. Definitely recommended

Perfect viewing point But this haveli is not pure vegetarian... I am a Jain and I like to eat pure vegetarian food, so I checked Google and it said vegetarian, so I went there... When I looked at the menu, I found out that it also had non-vegetarian food. .... so please if you are a pure vegetarian then visit this place for the view but please do not order any food.

A Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Udaipur! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jaiwana Haveli, and it truly made my Udaipur trip unforgettable. Located right in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the City Palace and Lake Pichola, the hotel offers both convenience and charm in equal measure. The rooms were big, clean, and very spacious, with traditional decor that added to the authentic Rajasthani feel. The views from the hotel are stunning — especially from the rooftop restaurant, which overlooks the serene lake and cityscape. A special mention must go to Irshad Sir, who took amazing care of us during our stay. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel instantly at home. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed and offered great tips for exploring the city. My Parents were here for 2 days, had a wonderful stay and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The place was comfortable and welcoming. A special thanks to staff incharge 'Irshad' who was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout their stay, making sure they felt at ease and cared for.
