You should be reasonably fit or at least used to step/cycling exercise, as the first day or two involves step climbing (though I actually found going down the steps on the way back more tricky) I was a not particularly fit 69 year old carrying c.10 kgs and I struggled a lot at times. Highly recommend taking two hiking poles, they really helped a lot by spreading the load. The rewards are some beautiful river valley views and snowy peaks vistas. I did say never again after I got back but then started planning a fitness programme for the next trek 😊

Langtang National Park is breathtaking. The forests, rivers, and mountains create a peaceful and beautiful environment. Wildlife sightings make the trek even more exciting, and the air feels so fresh and clean. It’s a perfect place for nature lovers and anyone looking to enjoy a calm and scenic adventure.

Calm, peaceful and less touristic park! We hiked there for 12 days and only saw 3 tourists. We stayed with local people and the food was also delicious! We didn't take a guide or porter for our trek (ganesh Himal) and really loved it! It's such a nice Region! .

Langtang national park with trek is one of the best moderate difficult and reachable location from capital city of Nepal and the international airport of Nepal. Red panda is one of the preserved animal there unfortunately i could not see it any where during my trekking. Good number of Nepalese and International trekkers were on the trip. My trip was during Nov 2nd week of 2023.

Langtang National Park is a stunning natural wonder that is worth visiting. The park is located in the central Himalayas and offers visitors a diverse range of landscapes, including snow-capped mountains, dense forests, and meandering rivers. One of the park's main attractions is its trekking routes, which cater to a wide range of fitness levels and interests. From the relatively easy Langtang Valley trek to the more challenging Helambu trek, there is a route for everyone. Trekking through the park is an exciting and rewarding experience, with breathtaking views at every turn. In addition to the stunning scenery, visitors can also immerse themselves in the local culture by visiting traditional Sherpa and Tamang villages. These villages provide a glimpse into the traditional lifestyles and practices of the local people, making for a rich and enlightening cultural experience. Overall, Langtang National Park is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Nepal. Its natural beauty, exciting trekking routes, and rich cultural experiences make it a truly unforgettable experience.

It was an amazing experience trekking at Langtang National Park. I was born and raised in Nepal but never hiked high Himalayas before. I was so excited and felt so proud of myself trekking on my own and as a foreigner. I loved every moment of it. Bus ride was little torturing but I still loved the ride. I got few blisters on my feet but I did not pay attention to it. The views as I go up help all the pain. Someone said "no pain no gain".

I trekked to langtang this June. It was not the suitable weather so, tourists were so few. Hence, I enjoyed it the most. I suggest all of you to book hotels in advance also, have some sea buckthorn juice, yak cheese and some local alcohol.

One of the most scenic trekking routes in Nepal. The variety of flora and fauna is breathtaking. The trekking route is not very hard as well, it can be easily completed in about 5-6 days.

Langtang National Park covers an area of 1710 sq km and is spread in Nuwakot, Rasuwa, and Sindupalchowk districts. This oldest Himalayan national park was established in the year 1976. Furthermore, the park was extended by 420 sq km of the buffer zone in 1998. It is also Nepal’s fourth protected area. It is also part of the Sacred Himalayan Landscape. The region was affected by the earthquake in April 2015. However, most of the reconstruction has been completed and the area is safe and well facilitated for trekking. The locals of the region have been welcoming tourists with great hospitality in recent times.

Had a great experience. Got a chance to closely feel the untouched beauty of nature. Langtang national park is so vivid and rich that on can observe the alpine forest, rhododendrons forest, coniferous forestto temperate grassland and cold desert. On the way to our trekking to GosainKunda we got a chance to observe lots of animals and feel change in weather. It is definitely worth travelling. If you are going on trekking to this area, it is worth noting the below point. 1. Sudden change in altitude, more than 1000 metre in one day can result in Altitude sickness. So be prepared, 2. Some trekking routes can’t be accessible in winter, better to consult with touring guide or company. Autumn is a best time to trek, sky are clear at that time so one can have good view of flora and fauna. 3. Carry dry foods, most of the trek routes are tea house trekking however, houses are at least 3 hour from one to other. 4. Hot water bottle will be very handy, replace your normal water bottle with hot water bottle. 5. Schezuan pepper and garlic sill be very handy to fight with altitude sickness. 6. Don’t compromise on shoes, they are life saver. Go and get good trekking shoes. 7. Knife and lighter is must, insects repellent cream in sunscreen can’t be avoided. 8. You can’t find the public toilet and rest areas here, nature is both, so be prepared for what you will need. 9. Routes are difficult at times but the view from the top is worthy enough for the extra pushes. Enjoy your time and get lost in nature, its a pure experience which you won’t get anywhere else outside Nepal, I bet.

A very beautiful and diverse National Park, perfect for Trekking if you are not an experienced trekker, but also for reaching high peaks. The nature is breathtaking and diverse: from jungle forest, beautiful rivers and waterfalls, to grassland above the treeline. From Syabru Besi to Kyangjin Gompa you can basically not get lost, because there is only one path. Good infrastructure and Teahouses available. The village Langtang and Kyangjin Gompa are breathtaking, the views of the mountains amazing. Definitely would go there again!
