Rajwadi Thal & Restro

We tried the Bahubali Thali at Rajwadi Thal, and it was more than enough for four people. The food was incredibly tasty, delicious, and offered a great variety of authentic flavors. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. If you're visiting Udaipur and want to enjoy a memorable traditional Rajasthani dining experience, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I visited Rajwadi Thal and Restro in Udaipur and ordered a classic Veg Makhanwala. Anyone who knows basic Indian food knows that a Makhanwala dish is supposed to be served in a rich, smooth, velvety tomato-and-cashew gravy made with cream and butter. It should have a beautiful orange-red or golden hue. What they served me was an absolute joke. As you can clearly see from the photos, they brought out a completely dry, greasy plate of basic Mix Veg. There was absolutely zero gravy. It was literally just a mountain of cheap filler vegetables—mostly green beans and peas—swimming in a pool of heavy cooking oil and coated in a dry, dark spice paste. It looked and tasted like a cheap, leftover stir-fry. The food was bad enough, but the service and management were downright insulting. When I politely called the manager over and said, "I think your kitchen made a mistake and accidentally served me dry mix veg instead of Veg Makhanwala," they completely denied it. Instead of apologizing or fixing the dish, the manager stood there with an attitude and flatly told me, "No sir, this is our Veg Makhanwala, this is how our chef makes it." Don’t insult my intelligence. Don't call a dry, oily plate of beans "Makhanwala" just because you ran out of gravy or your kitchen is incompetent. Trying to pass off a completely different, cheaper dish and then gaslighting a paying customer is the peak of unprofessionalism. Terrible culinary standards, awful management, and zero respect for guests. Save your money and sanity—eat anywhere else in Udaipur but here. Absolutely pathetic.

Taste was good. We are daal baati. They gave separate takda with it. It made the dish spicy as we wanted. Atmosphere is very good. Restaurant is on main road. Service is also very good. Recommended to try once.

Decent restaurant with amazing food. With a pinch of traditional pagdi look to every person visit there. Food quality was overall good. Nice place to visit,the staff is very nice.

Excellent place to have good food. Pramila is a good host. We were in a group of 14 people. She received us with a warm welcome. She was very polite and friendly. Ambience and food was nice. Overall it was a great experience.

Visited this restaurant on 22/02/26 with high expectations based on its Google rating. However, the experience was disappointing. There were no proper parking arrangements. We had to adjust our two-wheelers by ourselves. When I informed the receptionist about the issue (after bill payment), he responded that there was nothing wrong with the parking. If this had been addressed properly earlier, the experience could have been better. The cost of one thali is ₹400, but the food was not worth the price. As per the menu items included, it felt like it should be priced around ₹250–₹300. There was nothing special about the taste or presentation, and many other restaurants in the same price range offer much better value. Overall, I would not prefer to visit again.

Food is delicious and the staff is so polite especially Mr. Girivarlal sir. He is so polite and of kind nature. We all love it's special thali. We feel the real atmosphere of rajasthan with rajasthani folk music.. and her wellcome style impress us. Over all, all is good

#Cockroach found in food,🤢🤢🤮🤮 "I had a horrifying experience at this restaurant, While eating my lunch, I discovered a cockroach inside the food. It was absolutely disgusting and a clear sign of major hygiene issues in the kitchen. To make matters worse, when I informed the manager bharat he gave a poor excuse that it may be due to pest control 🤔🤔☹️☹️. I immediately lost my appetite and will never 🤮🤮Eat here at your own risk." This is the best place in Udaipur to have authentic food. The staff is so nice to the customers, their welcoming behaviour makes the food even more enjoyable. Must must visit. Food is good but service needs to do much better,

Very very tasty food. We ordered thair 250 thali from zomato and it's feels like home. So we ordered continuously for next 4 days. We try to visit restaurant but security's rude behaviour we leave it. Over all food is very good. Definitely recommend
