Peak place to visit during sunrise and sunset, the beach and surroundings are so beautiful and a very photogenic place where you can click all of the tall buildings including lotus tower from here. (Sunset and night time recommended) 🛺 tuktuk aren't allowed inside... the rider will mostly as you to get down qt the entrance, so book a cab on pick me or uber to get inside if you don't want to walk. There's a good food court and a duty free mini mall as well near the security entrance.

Visiting the Boat and Marine Show Sri Lanka 2026 was an excellent experience and my first time attending an exhibition of this nature. It gave me a much deeper understanding of the blue economy and the vast potential Sri Lanka holds in the Indian Ocean region. The showcases around marine infrastructure, boating culture, and industry innovation were truly eye-opening and highlighted how strongly this sector can contribute to the country’s future economic development. As an entrepreneur, I found the event especially inspiring. Speaking directly with exhibitors and professionals helped me gain practical insights into opportunities, challenges, and emerging trends within the marine and maritime ecosystem. Beautiful place, unfortunately people have already littered in several places. The government should make sure trash bins are more commonly available, I saw very few unfortunately.

A nice beach area with water sports activities such as kayaking. The place is a little inside from the main road and has a food court with many options which is a tad bit premium but the views and the food make up for it.

Amazing space to hang out. If you're doing a photo shoot, you need to pay a sum of $40,000 for 1 hour, but other than that the space is nice. The food they are in food court is good. Would recommend to go with family

However, I strongly feel that to keep this beach in its best condition, a small entry fee should be charged. This will help maintain the facilities and ensure cleanliness. On top of that, there should be strict penalty charges for anyone who pollutes or litters the beach. Protecting this place is very important so that everyone can continue to enjoy its beauty in the future.

Public facilities like restrooms also need better maintenance to match the area’s image as an international attraction. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience. This place has great potential to become one of Sri Lanka’s iconic destinations in the future. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Colombo!

Though it’s artificial beach, still it’s the best beach in Colombo now because of the cleanliness, calmness and most importantly the size of the beach area which is huge and it’s one of the best place to catch the sunset. Entrance is free and parking is free so what else do you need? The bridges, walking path etc is perfect for those who want to just hangout or just want to do some jogging/ walking or just chilling.

La ville gagne sur la mer, un peu à la manière de Dubai. À revoir dans quelques temps pour comparer le le projet avec les chantiers actuels avec la réalité. Les aménagements actuels sont encore disséminés mais les centrales à béton qui s’installent annoncent de grands travaux.

A very nice couple of hours spent with the kids. Beach is free to use. Bathing / Swimming area is marked with an orange line. So use that area if you wanna take a dip. Use the shower rooms even before dipping in so that you can utilize the lockers in that also. Shower rooms are very clean. So its worth the price. Food court is also very nice. Pricy, but good food and drinks. Really wish this place will survive and keep up the quality of service!! PS. I got registered via the app and registered our visit. But no one scanned it when we entered.

It seems like a good place to enjoy the evening. The view of the sunset and Colombo is beautiful. However, the noise in the dining area was loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. That was the biggest downside. There are some activities for kids, as well as adults, making it a good place to spend quality time with family, friends, or as a couple.

I went there on Saturday morning. Some shops are open in the morning but most are closed by 11 am. PortCity is a beautiful and clean beach. Now you can walk between the entrance and the beach.
