Chandragiri Municipality, Office of Municipal Executive

Artistic building, prime location, online based services, dedicated team and well maintained good- governance has made the municiality real Sinha durbar for Chandragirinians.

This municipality named after the one of the peaks of Kathmandu valley called Chandragiri. Chandragiri peak is a very historical place and has a cable car acces to it from Thankot . Chandragiri Municipality is formed by merging several village municipality in 2014. The western part of these village are , Balambu, Dahachok, Mahadevsthan, Machhegaun, Matatirtha, Naikap Naya Bhanjyang, Naikap Purano Bhanjyang, Satungal, Thankot and Tinthana. After merging these village Chandragiri has made a collective effort and doing good for the development of this municipality. Since it connects Kathmandu Metro via several ways, it has a great role to make Kathmandu a great place.

भव्य संरचना, मनमोहक वातावरण । भौतिक रूपले आकर्षक छ जनता लाई सेवा पनि राम्रो देओस् । चन्द्रागिरि नगरपालिका नेपालको बागमती प्रदेश काठमाडौं जिल्लाको पश्चिमतर्फ रहेको छ । यस नगरपालिका काठमाडौं जिल्लाभित्रको सबभन्दा ठुलो नगरपालिका हो । मिति २०७१ मंसिर १६ गते नेपाल सरकारको निर्णय बमोजिम साविक स्थानीय विकास मन्त्रालय हाल संङ्घीय मामिला तथा सामान्य प्रशासन मन्त्रालयले थप ६१ वटा नयाँ नगरपालिका थप गर्दा काठमाडौं जिल्लाको साविक थानकोट गा.वि.स, दहचोक गा.वि.स, नैकाप नयाँभञ्ज्याङ गा.वि.स, वाडभञ्ज्याङ गा.वि.स, बलम्वु गा.वि.स, महादेवस्थान गा.वि.स, तीनथाना गा.वि.स, सतुंगल गा.वि.स, मातातीर्थ गा.वि.स, मच्छेगाउँ गा.वि.स र नैकाप पुरानोभञ्ज्याङ गा.वि.स गरी जम्मा ११ वटा गाउँ विकास समितिहरूलाई समेटेर २५ वटा वडा बनाई चन्द्रागिरि नगरपालिका घोषणा गरिएको थियो । नेपालको संविधान अनुसार राज्य पुनःसंरचना आयोगको पुनःसंरचना पछि नेपाल सरकार, मन्त्री परिषद्को मिति २०७३ साल फागुन २२ गतेको स्थानीय तह पुनःसंरचना सम्बन्धी निर्णय २०७३ साल फागुन २७ गते राजपत्रमा प्रकाशित भएपछि स्थानीय तहको व्यवस्था लागू भई चन्द्रागिरि नगरपालिकामा जम्मा १५ वडा कायम भएको हो ।

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided at Chandragiri Municipality. The staff are frequently late to work, and although the official lunch break is only 30 minutes, it often stretches to over an hour with no one in sight to assist citizens. Is this the level of service being offered to the public? As taxpayers and responsible citizens, we expect timely and respectful service. If the Mayor is aware of this issue and is actively working to address it, we appreciate the effort. However, if such carelessness continues, we will be compelled to raise this matter to higher authorities and demand proper accountability. We will not stay silent when our rights are being ignored. It’s time for real action—not excuses.

staff were great, specially at the help desk

The staff are very very rude and not giving proper information regarding anything.. i recently called them they don’t have any knowledge regarding any thing.. they are passing their responsibilities to other person and not providing good guidance

Building Infrastructure is Awesome and Beautiful Environment with Such A Great Working Speed of Municipal Employees 💗

Limited space at most required department i.e Map department. It cannot hold the customer properly which results in crowd on passage, people have no place to seat and can only do is to pray while standing. No parking available, no own premises though muncipality occupy 3 tall buildings randomly. No proper management so people get confused time and again.

Very clean office and large parking for Car and Bike, Clean toilet with water, I found very good service and cooperative staffs

Chandragiri Municipality, the largest municipality of Kathmandu district, lies in the State No. 3 of Nepal. It is formed by merging Thankot, Dahchok, Naikap, Machchhegaun, Badbhangyang, Balambu, Mahadevasthan, Tinthana, Sutungal and Matatirtha. The center of Chandragiri Municipality is in Balmbu.

This building is very good example of what municipal should not be No parking n a residential building converted to accommodate the municipality office
