The Lake View Hotel, On Lake Pichola, Udaipur

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the hotel staff, brought the belongings we had forgotten at the hotel all the way to the bus stand (around 6 km away) on short notice. This gesture truly reflects their dedication and hospitality. Our trip was completely unplanned, and finding a budget-friendly hotel near scenic locations felt like a big challenge. Thankfully, we came across this hotel, which turned out to be a perfect choice. The rooms were very nice—though the building is old, the rooms have been beautifully renovated with modern amenities. The views from the balcony and terrace were simply mesmerizing, making our stay even more enjoyable. All the staff members were polite, soft-spoken, and always ready to help. Privacy was well-maintained, and any requirements were quickly taken care of with just one call. A comfortable hotel truly enhances the overall travel experience, and this stay made our trip even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a budget-friendly yet pleasant stay near beautiful surroundings.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL WITHOUT READING THE REVIEWS FIRST. The photos on Google appear to be edited and do not reflect the real condition of the hotel. On the phone, the staff will offer discounts and talk about the views to convince you to book, but the reality is completely different. We booked two rooms, and both were extremely dirty. The manager was very rude and unprofessional. It seemed like they don’t understand what proper room service is. The washrooms were not clean, and they did not provide basic items like towels or toiletries. Paid parking is about 1.5 km away from the hotel, which is very inconvenient. The next morning, when I tried to discuss these issues with the manager, he responded rudely and used abusive language. I did not continue the argument because I was traveling with my family. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was not clean at all, and before we even entered, the staff member sprayed a strong, unpleasant fragrance from a cold-drink bottle filled with a milky solution, which gave us a headache. The rooms are very small, with no almirahs, and the bedsheets had stains and lint. The bathroom had leakage issues, and the refrigerator was unhygienic and made a constant grr grr noise. A family seems to be living on the ground floor—possibly the owners—which made the whole place feel even more chaotic and untidy. The only decent thing was the view from the rooftop, but that alone is definitely not worth the price they charge. We had booked the hotel for a week but ended up checking out the very next morning. Honestly, I have no idea how this place is showing three stars on Google. I wouldn’t recommend it. And also there was no kettle or coffee or tea sachets in the room

Hi All, I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The room quality was extremely poor unclean, poorly maintained, and not at all like the photos shown online. The furniture felt old, the bathroom was unhygienic, and the overall upkeep was far below expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable or reliable stay. Attached are the photos what they have uploaded and what in reality was. The hotel manager was also very rude. We immediately left the hotel.

Nice hotel at this price. Advantage is its near to lake and has lift facility. Rooftop ambience is good. Room amenities should have been better. The towels look like cleaning rugs. I had to ask for towels and water which are basic things you expect in a hotel. Staff behaviour is good.

Hotel is good with Lakeview and everything is near by Jagdish temple and City palace and Ganguar ghat at walkable distance. Room was nice but they can get more clean but it's affordable so can't complain. If you want affordable rooms with nice view then I will really recommend. They will help you for early check in which is really kind

The room of hotel was completely different from what I saw in pictures. Room was not even clean. Their was smell in whole room and bedsheets were also not cleaned. Overall did not liked the experience. Just that location of hotel was very good.

We stayed here for one night, and the experience was disappointing. The photos shown online are completely misleading — the rooms and surroundings look nothing like the pictures. The rooftop restaurant mentioned is also unrelated to this hotel and is managed separately.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l’hôtel. Le personnel est vraiment très accueillant et serviable, tout est fait pour que l’on se sente bien et à la moindre question ou demande, ils répondent aussitôt. Karan était très vif dès que nous lui envoyons un message. Le restaurant bistro marina au dessus était vraiment très bon (je vous conseille le plateau avec les différents poulet si vous aimez ça, c’était délicieux) et la vue très jolie. Merci à vous, notre séjour était super.

The location of the hotel is perfect for the visitors who are coming to explore Udaipur city everything is walking distance hardly 1-2 km and the room is so clean especially washroom.

This hotel is totally different from what is in the picture. There were no room service. Restaurant above had the worst food. Rooms were smelly. Bathrooms taps were not working properly. Bedsheets were dirty. No freeze or basic amenties like water.

Based on photos and Google reviews, I had chosen this hotel through MakeMyTrip. However, upon entering, I was shocked by how much worse the place looked in person. The entrance was unappealing, and the room was dirty, with pillows used to adjust the bed size. Additionally, the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan and had a window that opened to the toilet pipe, causing a persistent bad odor. The only positive aspect was the rooftop view. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my stay and do not believe this hotel qualifies even for a 3-star rating. Even the towels provided appeared to be dirty cloths and were unfit for use. Furthermore, we had booked a luxury AC deluxe room but received a much worse one. After complaining, we were moved to a different room where the bed was better than the one initially provided, though still not as good as in the pictures. Despite this change, I still would not recommend this hotel; it should be classified as a low-priced option. If you are not from India, please choose a better hotel, as even entering this establishment could be unpleasant. Also no cabs can enter this street its a narrow road.. u need to walk from jagdish temple
