Great experience never seen water stream like this. Couldn’t experience the upper part of the stream which seems to be great. Great place for a camping Need go with waterproof gear if to walk through the stream. Sandals are compulsory

Wadi Al Hoqain is a truly beautiful place and one of the hidden gems of Oman. The pools are deep and refreshing, surrounded by impressive rock formations and lush greenery - it’s a very unique landscape. Even though the hike is considered relatively easy, the environment can still be slippery and the water is quite deep in some sections. Good footwear and attention to safety are very important here. During our visit we were very glad to have proper equipment like helmets and life jackets, which made the whole experience much more comfortable and safe while enjoying the scenery. Definitely a place worth visiting, especially if you want to experience one of Oman’s beautiful wadis in a safe and well-organized way.

Beautiful wadi with clear water and scenic surroundings. I visited once in December and loved the cool weather, peaceful atmosphere, and smaller crowds. However, during Eid and the summer months, the area was very crowded, the water level was lower, and there was little shade from the intense heat. For the best experience, I recommend visiting during the cooler months, preferably between September and February.

Wadi Hoqain is a cluster of turquoise blue sulphur springs, and a major tourist attraction of the region, especially for those who love to swim!!! The pool is really beautiful, and unbelievably turquoise. The place offers shallow and deep waters, making it enjoyable even for those who don't know how to swim. The best time to visit Wadi Hoqain will be the summertime. (The only downside is that the actual place is not easy to find or reach, and the waters are a good hike away from the road. Definitely recommended for adventurous people!!!!)

One of the best place to camp and swim, tenting and grilling facility available. Better to keep a life jacket if you are not good with swimming for best experience to explore the sulphur water area.

Beautiful place to swim (deep water) even down the parking place. The premises are very recent, wish bbq area, modern playground, cafe. Dyeing the week, very few people. Water is clear and warm.

Amazing wadi with many water pools. Some are good for swimming other are hot sulphur water good for a dip. Waterfall had dried up when I visited as the rains in the last two years has been minimal but the weather was excellent. Sadly, there were plastic bottles and garbage left by some earlier irresponsible visitors. If visiting make sure to carry your garbage with you.

Rewelacja! Cudowne wadi. Czysta mleczno błękitna ciepła woda. Aby przejść a właściwie przepłynąć kanionem całe wadi potrzeba około godziny w każdą stronę (spokojnym tempem). Wymagana umiejętność pływania! Jeden minus - ŚMIECI!! Na szczęście głównie przy pierwszych basenach, dalej już czysto.

Serene place, the wadi was dirty and heavily crowded over weekend evening. The good spots of wadi require hiking otherwise the main entrance pool is full of people. There is a small coffee shop for snacks. Washrooms were not maintained and dirty. Plenty of parking. Not suitable for camping as it is uneven. There is a small park as well for kids but it was dirty as well, people throwing water bottles and trash everywhere.

L’endroit pourrait être magnifique, mais c’est une véritable décharge. Les gens laissent tous leurs détritus C’est écœurant ! Il faut passer quelques dizaines de mètres, avancer dans l’eau, pour découvrir un endroit magnifique encore épargné.

Beautiful wadi with super clear and blue water. It is best to go early and during the week, then it is still very quiet and not so hot. There is enough parking space and also a shop with some food, drinks and toilets. You can rent a life jacket for 2 riyals, which I really recommend because the water is deep in many places. I liked this wadi more than wadi shab. However it is more adventurous and more difficult because you have to climb more, especially if you walk further into the river. I recommend water shoes.

Went on Friday afternoon, it’s a free open place, nice view, climate is also beautiful , ideal for picnic and little hiking , some people swim in the water. Sad thing is garbage was left everywhere, people should respect the nature and take away everything as how they brought it there.

It's very amazing adventure. When you want swimming please use the jacket if you don't know swimming. It's 9 mtr deep and need to swimming around 1 kilometres.

Beautiful wadi… place near the parking and upstream is good… better get life jackets if you hate not a confident swimmer(available in the shop besides parking). Stairs go down from the parking area towards the stream, however need to go through a bit of rocks so not feasible for elderly or wheelchair bound, however they can still enjoy from the terraces by the parking lot overlooking the wadi.. there were few families and a lot of shabab enjoying the dives and the dips in the pools.... it was cloudy when we went there.. must have been hot in the sun however once you are in the waters it’s pleasant even with sun..

Went on Public holidays, was a bit crowded. But still you can find places around with less numbers to enjoy a good dip with family.

Visited: August 2026 Save Nature do not litter. There’s water for swimming — take a left from the stairs. At first, it may look dry, but if you keep going, you’ll find the places in the pics. The second one (sulphur wadi) is longer and deeper, so wearing a safety jacket is recommended. You can also enjoy a free natural foot spa with fish therapy on the spot. The climate is hot, but the natural surroundings are worth it. It’s best to visit early in the morning before the heat sets in. Please do not litter. Kindly take your garbage back with you and dispose of it in the bins. No lifeguards available on the spot.

Skip the dry waterfalls and head to the nearby wadi! Found deep swimming pools and amazing camping spots. ⛺🏊‍♀️ Perfect for a weekend escape.

Fantastisch mooie wadi. Eén ster minder omdat het er een ontzettende rommel is. Mensen, neem alsjeblieft je flessen, doppen, slippers, onderbroeken, sokken, doekjes en verpakkingen mee naar boven en werp het in één van de prullenbakken. Alles wordt schaamteloos weg gesmeten. Walgelijk! De wadi zelf is prachtig! Een mix van lopen, klauteren en zwemmen. In 2 uurtjes te doen. Je kunt ernaast gratis parkeren. Er is een klein winkeltje en toiletten.
