Disappointing Experience – Unprofessional and Rude Behavior by Manager Indrajeet
I had purchased several gold ornaments, including a diamond ring(not real diamond as they don’t have it) from the store during my wedding. Unfortunately, within a week of purchase, the diamond in the ring fell out. When I visited the store, I was assured that the issue would be fixed and that the ring would be ready for collection on a specified date.
I would also like to highlight the extremely unprofessional behavior displayed by the manager named INDRAJEET. Instead of handling the situation respectfully, he came across as overly smart and arrogant in his attitude. He openly displayed this behavior in front of other customers and staff, which was both embarrassing and inappropriate. During the discussion, he raised his voice unnecessarily and spoke in a manner that was disrespectful and confrontational. Such conduct is unacceptable in a customer service environment and only added to the frustration caused by the delay.
I had clearly informed the staff that I would be traveling back and would not be able to collect the ring after the promised date. Despite this, when I visited the store on the scheduled day, the ring was still not ready. This caused significant inconvenience, as I had planned my schedule around the commitment given by the store. I was left frustrated and disappointed, especially because I had communicated my travel constraints in advance and trusted that the repair would be completed on time. A delay can sometimes be understandable, but what was most concerning was the lack of proactive communication. At no point was I informed that the repair would not be completed as promised, which could have helped me make alternative arrangements.
What was even more disappointing was the behavior of the manager INDRAJEET. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the delay or showing any concern for the situation, he was dismissive and negative from the outset. When my father politely questioned why the ring was not ready as promised, the manager reacted rudely and aggressively, speaking in an argumentative and confrontational manner. Rather than trying to help resolve the issue, he appeared irritated by our concerns and made us feel as though we were at fault for expecting the commitment made by the store to be honored. His lack of empathy, unwillingness to take responsibility, and overall unprofessional attitude were extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable for someone in a customer facing role.
While I found the owner to be courteous and understanding, the conduct of this employee left a very negative impression. Staff members represent the reputation of a business, and such behavior can significantly damage customer trust and the store’s image. I hope that customer service standards are improved to ensure others do not have a similar experience.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially considering the trust and investment associated with wedding jewelry purchases.
