Prithvi Café is one of those iconic places that truly carries Mumbai's legacy forward. The café has a unique charm that beautifully blends the city's rich cultural heritage with the energy of its younger generation. Sitting here feels like experiencing a small yet meaningful connection to Mumbai's artistic and theatrical roots. The place gets quite crowded during the evenings, which is understandable given its popularity. Despite the rush, the vibrant atmosphere and lively crowd add to the overall experience. It's a wonderful spot to hang out with friends, have long conversations, and soak in the creative vibe around you. The café also offers plenty of options for quick bites and refreshments, making it perfect whether you're stopping by for a short visit or spending a relaxed evening. The ambience, the people, and the legacy associated with Prithvi make it much more than just a café—it's an experience that reflects the spirit and culture of Mumbai. A must-visit place that beautifully connects modern Mumbai with its timeless cultural roots. ☕✨🎭

This is Iconic Cafe in Juhu. Usually crowded by trendy people with Gen Z vibes. Process of booking table is smooth with excellent management. Service is quick. I had ordered Kheema with Bhurji which was very delicious. Mango lassi was yummy too. Loved their attitude, prompt service and food quality. Must visit in Juhu

### **Review for Prithvi Café** Prithvi Café is legendary for its vibe and history, but if I’m being honest, the food felt a bit overhyped. It’s a great spot to hang out, but the flavors were a hit-or-miss for me :( So, I was leaving for out of India but just wanted to explore this cafe before leaving as I will be missing Indian food a little! But, I kind of got disappointed with the food. To be honest the dishes I had at airport were better🥲 **The Food Breakdown:** 🌟 Egg Kheema: Just okay. It didn't quite live up to the expectations I had based on the reviews. 🌟 Butter Chicken Thali: This was a letdown. The gravy was **way too sweet**—even for Butter Chicken. It lacked that savory, spicy balance you'd expect. 🌟 Mixed Veg Paratha: One of the better items we ordered. Solid, filling, and tasted fresh. 🌟 Burger (Must Try!): The highlight of the meal. The bun isn't made of maida (refined flour), which gave it a great texture. Definitely worth a try if you want something "healthier" but tasty. Chocolate Croissant: A decent sweet finish, but nothing groundbreaking. **Drinks:** We tried the Blueberry Soda and Masala Soda. Both were refreshing and served as good palate cleansers for the meal. Go for the atmosphere and the non-maida burgers, but maybe skip the North Indian mains if you aren't a fan of sweet gravies. It's a nice place to chill, just don't expect a culinary masterpiece across the whole menu.

The café offers a really pleasant and vibrant ambience, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food quality is excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes. The must-try dishes here are definitely the paneer kulche and pav bhaji—both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Overall, a wonderful spot for good food and a comfortable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Juhu Prices That Won’t Hurt Your Pocket Recently visited Prithvi Cafe, tucked inside the iconic Prithvi Theatre complex, and the vibe is just as charming as everyone says. There’s also a small bookstore inside, which adds to the overall artsy, cozy feel of the place. Coming to the waiting system yes, there is one, but it’s super convenient. You simply scan the QR code and join the digital waiting queue. On weekends, especially Saturday and Sunday evenings, the wait can be 30 minutes or more, but trust me it’s absolutely worth it. Now the food We tried: Chicken cheese samosa – super yum, crispy and cheesy.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Paneer cheese stuffed kulcha with chole, with chaas and mango lassi – too delicious! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chilli cheese toast – decent, but nothing extraordinary ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Inspite of visiting a couple of times before, we've never shot pictures to upload in the review as this was a busy place that involved queue system to be seated. Our last visit was on a weekday afternoon and hence we got a table without a wait time. The seating is outdoor and the menu is pocket friendly and extensive. Most of their kitchen seems outdoor and causes fumes, sizzles and fragrances of multiple dishes being cooked. The dining is moderately under dhaded trees and thoroughly placed table fans. The menu and ordering are online while the bill can be paid once your are about to leave. Service staff are busy but give you attention when needed. Our asked for extra plate/spoon have immediately been fulfilled. The orders once placed have also arrived quick to the table. We've been ordering from this place for years and hence have reordered most of our favorites to enjoy them fresh which include their paratha with dal makhani, red velvet brownie and cookies. Their sulemani chai and masala soda were well made too. No excessive sugars in the beverages that we ordered. Overall it was a nostalgic place for us and being able to dine without a wait time is a plus.

The food was top-notch, especially the hummus absolutely delicious! However, the waiting time for a table was too long due to the excessive crowd. Most of the time, I ended up leaving without eating, and on several occasions, I walked out rather than wait. I usually prefer to get food from somewhere else instead of waiting that long. Overall, great food, but service speed and crowd management need. improvement.

I recently visited **Prithvi Café** and had a really good experience overall. The café has a beautiful, lively ambience with a chilled, artsy vibe — perfect for casual meetups or relaxed meals. I tried quite a few dishes here: 🍽️ **Amritsari Paratha** – Nicely stuffed, flavorful, and served hot with curd and chutney. The taste was authentic and had a pleasant spicy punch without being overpowering. 🍝 **White Pasta** – Creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked. The sauce was smooth and mildly cheesy, though it could use a little more spice for those who like stronger flavors. ☕ **Hot Coffee & Filter Coffee Ice-Cream** – Both were excellent. The hot coffee was strong and aromatic, while the filter coffee ice-cream was a unique treat — a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. 🥭 **Mango Lassi** – Thick, fresh, and refreshing, with a real mango flavor. It paired well with the paratha and gave a nice desi touch to the meal. 🌯 **Chicken Roll** – Juicy, well-marinated, and wrapped in soft bread. Nicely spiced and filling; non-veg lovers will definitely enjoy this. The **service** was polite and quick despite the crowd. **Pricing** is slightly on the higher side, but the taste and ambience justify it. The **outdoor seating** under trees gives a cozy, café-theatre vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere in Mumbai. ✅ **Overall:** Quite good experience — tasty food, soothing coffee, and vibrant atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re near Juhu, especially for coffee lovers and café enthusiasts

Prithvi Cafe in Mumbai honestly feels like one of those places where time slows down a little. Tucked beside the iconic Prithvi Theatre in Juhu, the café has this beautiful artsy charm that instantly makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. The open-air seating, earthy décor, fairy lights, and quiet buzz of conversations together create an atmosphere that feels both lively and peaceful at the same time. There’s always something happening around you — actors, writers, theatre lovers, coffee dates, long catch-ups — yet the place somehow never loses its calmness. The food here is simple but genuinely comforting. Their Irish coffee, kheema pav, sandwiches, and desserts especially have become crowd favourites for a reason. Everything feels fresh, familiar, and soulful rather than overly complicated. “Good food and good company make the best memories,” and Prithvi Cafe proves that effortlessly. It’s less of a café and more of a Mumbai ritual at this point.

What a delightful brunch we had here! I wish I’d been here sooner. No long waiting queues, fully digital waiting list, food ordering and bill payment makes it all a hassle free experience. We had ordered a paneer and cheese filled kulcha chhole, chicken kheema and bhurji pav, a chocolate croissant and a masala soda. They were all worth a mention. Best place to hangout with friends in Juhu.

A Management Disaster – Not Worth the Endless Wait I recently visited Prithvi Cafe with my family on a weekday, and the experience was nothing short of frustrating. Despite it not being the weekend, we waited nearly an hour just to get a table. The primary issue here is a total lack of management and table turnover. We observed visitors sitting for over an hour after finishing a single dish, or simply gossiping without ordering anything new, yet the staff made zero effort to request they clear the table for the long queue outside. The seating policy is equally ridiculous. We saw a single lady occupying a 3-seater table while the other two seats remained vacant. When we asked the waiter if we could occupy the empty spots, we were told that if one person sits there, the rest of the table remains "occupied." If this is the policy, the cafe should invest in single-seat tables rather than wasting space while families stand outside for hours. The struggle doesn't end once you are seated. After finally getting a table, it took another 20 to 30 minutes for the food to arrive. While the food itself was good, it is certainly not worth a 90-minute ordeal of waiting and poor service. Many nearby places offer similar food quality and pricing without the logistical nightmare. Most people in the queue ended up canceling their bookings out of sheer annoyance, and I don't blame them. I will never visit this place again, nor would I recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant family outing.

The place is nice. There was some wait when we went. But you can order from the bakery. We tried their cinnamon roll and maska cookie, which was delicious. In the main menu we ordered nachos, hot chocolate, veg burger, paneer tikka roll, ice tea and filter coffee. The food is also good overall. The quantity is fine. This place is great for hanging out with friends. You can spot some celebrities here.

I m on a 3 day trip to Mumbai, n im already in love with the place. I shall come here every day just for the muffins and the desserts. The best place ever ! The word prithvi means earth and true to its word kept calling us back to earth, attached to the ground, made us feel rooted. But the food was mind blowing, I can't rave enough!

Great value and taste is a rare combination these days in the food space. Prithvi cafe has kept up with both. The parathas were nicely stuffed and the pizza and nachos were loaded with toppings. The chai for 30 bucks given the ambience is a showstopper. Plus it tastes really good. We had two cups each.

✨️✨️Prithvi Café✨️✨️ It is one of those places in Mumbai that instantly makes you feel relaxed and connected to the city's artistic spirit✨️. ✨️Located inside the Prithv Theatre campus, the café has a charming outdoor setup with fairy lights greenery, and cosy seating that feels warm and inviting. ✨️The ambience is calm yet vibrant - full of students, theatre artists, families, and friends engaged in long conversations. Even though it's usually crowded it doesn't feel rushed or noisy. Instead, it carries a peaceful, creative vibe. ✨️One interesting thing about the café is the way you place orders. There are no traditional menus or servers constantly hovering - instead, you scan the QR code placed on the table, browse the entire menu dicitally, and place your order directly online. ✨️It's quick, smooth, and organised. If you need assistance or want to call a staff member, you simply press the buzzer button provided at the table, and a waiter comes by - subtle, efficient, and respectful of privacy. ✨️We tried some of their popular items -- Irani Chai, Cappuccino caramel flavour, cold coffee, Double egg roll, Butter chicken roll - all delicious. fresh, and comforting. The service was fast and the staff were polite, even during peak hours. ✨️What makes Prithvi Café truly special is the experience itself - sitting under the open sky, sipping hot tea , listening to soft chatter and theatre sounds, and soaking in the beautiful atmosphere. It feels like time slows down for a bit. ✨️If you're in Juhu, this place is a must-visit - for conversations, quiet moments, or simply to enjoy a magical evening with great energy.

Had a good experience, we ordered hummus with pita bread, burger and pasta along with two drinks… the food was good. I saw someone having tea and i thought to try it too but it was cold. Only the tea was sad otherwise, everything was good. Ambience was nice, vibes were cool, waiting was high, washrooms were clean. Overall, a great experience

If you’re visiting Mumbai or living here, one evening should be dedicated to this place. With the cafe it has its own theatre and bookstore. You can come and have a very good date. If you’re lucky enough you’ll get to meet some of your fav people ;) Very crowded place, the waiting line could be 1 hour long if you’re visiting at peak hours. You’ve to scan the code once you’re there then they’ll call you as soon as tabke is ready. Moderate food but amazing vibes.
