PSYMED HOSPITAL

It's been 10 days , since my son was discharged from this hospital. Till today I have not received DISCHARGE SUMMARY. Once in 3 days I am following it up. They say Doctor's are busy. Only when they are free, they can process it, it seems. This is ridiculous and even in govt. hospitals, there is not this much delay. Admin please do something. Founder of this hospital, please take note of this Sir 26.11.25 As assured by the Dr. I collected the discharge summary within 24 hours. Thanks Dr. for your prompt response and action.

The hospital patient bed atmosphere is very poor. Bed charges are ₹2,800 per day. Blood and urine test charges are ₹16,500. The staff keeps asking for money, but there is no improvement in the patient’s condition. Doctor’s charges are taken separately.Without prior assessment, a high-dose injection was given to the patient. The doctor never examined the patient and only the nurse visited The patient was admitted for only 2 days, but the total charges came to ₹40,000.

After various enquiries through phone calls I'm not able to connect to my psychiatrist Doctor. I called the hospital several times to connect to my doctor for an emergency as I was going through abortion process and my gynaecologist advised me to get permission from my Psychiatry doctor . Due to poor communication from the receptionist and the team I was unable to connect to the doctor as well as any duty doctor. As a patient I expect basic respect and clear communication.This experience caused unnecessary stress during difficult times. Kindly request you to take this matter seriously and help me to connect to my doctor as I received a message that my doctor is out of station.

Kind staff and experienced doctors. Treatment was effective and quick. Dr. Swathik is very kind & understanding. Overall, a good experience.

I have family issues even my mom brother not supporting to me my mom and my brother degrade me in a bad way and i loss my father in 2021 if he is alive i will not come to the psychiatric hospital i get justice if my father is here within the fracture of time my mom brother uncle everyone come and admitted in the psymed hospital so that doctors asked me what is your problem then I said everything about my family issues the doctors will not understand me they supporting to the wrong person and they emotionally abuse mentally harrasted because my mom and my brother sayed that she got affected with mental illness because her father is also like that so she also like her father what am going to say the doctors will supported to the wrong person because they need money they need business but not justice and responsibilities and family matters bed charge per day 5500 its not good

All the doctors and staff were very professional and welcoming. The hospitals atmosphere is very friendly. I would definitely say Psymed is one of the best mental health institutes in Chennai.

Vinod a goondas often prevented me from taking break out of the room.sometimes staff would crowd in talk obscence language,joking and giggling Show them the their door for violence For volence Begets violence They have also give 6 ECTs for my brother in a sedated state

Wish there was 0 star also for this hospital and staff . 5 star to the doctor . Very unprofessional hospital making patients waiting for 3 hours and then telling that doctors doesn't want to see us as we were late . The OP time is till 5 pm and I had reached @ 4:40 pm . The receptionist is a rude and misbehave lady made me to wait till 7 pm and then told that as doctor has come late by 2 pm only so he will not see me . Me irrespective of requesting as leaving my 1 year kids back to just review for 1 min but the doctor denied . The fees doctor charges is 2000rs , wish the response would have also been like that . The receptionist lady has to be thought manners and have to give a degree for telling lies . Hereby attached the poster which is stuck in the hospital for timings . Request other to kindly note that your time has no value because we are born to waste time and waiting and even after waiting for 3 hours with 1 year child back at home get to hear that doctor won't see . Recommend to plan your day before meeting the doctor as it's like a 1 day picnic trip as keep waiting for the whole day doing nothing and waiting for your turn and then get to hear not today .

As far as i know, we do not have many such hospitals in Chennai as psymed to treat psychological issues. I had admitted my husband for almost a month. I liked the holistic approach of dr.shri rangarajan. The nurses and other staff made our stay there very comfortable. Kudos to the entire team. Keep up the good work.. will be happier if they can still more expand their services...

One of the best psychiatrist hospital in Chennai located in prime location, without any advertisement the hospital established this name and fame. Dr. Venkatesh Ramachandran handles the clients in matured manner. Attenders are treat and behave politely with patient. Assistant doctor Ms. Bhuvaneswari pleasantly explained the real scenario and give more motivated to the affected family.

My experience with PSYMED has been wonderful and all the staff were very kind and helpful. Dr.Venkatesh was a god send im really thankful and very grateful for having to have meet him. Psymed is really the BEST PSYCHIATIC HOSPITAL IN CHENNAI.

Psymed is a good psychiatric Hospital... Especially Dr. Venkatesh Ramachandran treatment is Awesome and we feel he is one of our Family member... Also staffs, nurses and Assistant doctor who treated in a good manner.... I personally felt my wife had resurrection from her past... Thank you all

If you want to see the doctor, pls come along with bedsheet and billow. We have waited morethan 3 hours, but doctor will not come, still waiting... People, pls don't go to this hospital, if anything emergency.very worst experience i never had another before. Not Worthy for single star.

It took me so much time and effort to show up for adhd counselling, waited for 3 hours, filled basic forms for another hour, at the end the doctors tell me if I need pills but they tell me that the whole world will look at me like I’m a crazy person, then they said they’ll help me first with plans and charts, and share this with me within a week, it’s been 5 months and they have not helped me in any way. It costed me rs.4000, all my money, time, and courage to finally show up has been wasted by psymed hospital, u will not recommend any one to even step in this place, for the amount of money you are spending rather go to a government hospital, coz these people are just making money off of you and nothing else.

Excellent service, polite, sincere duty doctors and nurses giving medicines on time and takes good care in treating patients. Dr. Venkatesh is very calm, visits patients regularly and highly knowledgeable. Even the food quality is quite good and served on time.

This is more regarding Dr. Rangarajan rather than psymed. Rating 1 because cannot give zero or negatives here. This was in 2017. I’m a doctor myself today, and if there’s one thing that keeps haunting me till date is how Dr. Rangarajan treated my anxious dad who tried reaching out to him personally, multiple times (i agree was wrong) but only BECAUSE I WAS IN SEVERE PAIN that too JUST OUTSIDE IN THE WAITING ROOM and wasnt getting any attention or meds because guess what this is psychiatric hospital (The irony here, stigma right where its supposed to be erased) The way he humiliated my father that too in front of me, he became my Negative role model. I immediately felt.. now this is someone i should never become. Not to mention, we waited that long to be told to get admitted for which we were charged ₹1500. Mind you this was just for writing “admit in psymed” on the prescription paper. No wonder i never got well there. Just a tip, you do not shout at a parent in front of their children. Let alone a child with somatisation anxiety

The medical care provided by the hospital is commendable, there's a need to enhance facilities for the elderly. Options include installing lifts, establishing a canteen, and providing comprehensive training for receptionists and nurses to improve patient experience. Hope the mentioned things will be implemented in the near future.

Psymed hospital is really on of the best psychiatric hospitals in Chennai. The doctors and staff are all very kind, understanding and professional. Overall the entire hospital experience was calm and comfortable especially during a difficult time. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for genuine mental health support.

Psymed hospital is an excellent place for the mental health services. Doctors are very polite and provides more space for the patients to express their distresses without being judgemental. Doctors provide excellent treatment for all kind of mental health issues. The nurses are very much caring and serve the patients kindly. They are very kind and polite to the family members of the patient as well. Ward boys are very helpful. I strongly recommend this hospital.
