There is something mysterious in the air of pushkar - spirituality is found here in abundance. Only thing about the cleanliness - things have improved since my last visit but miles to go. Lots of hip cafes in the vicinity overlooking the holy waters. Great place for meditation - great place for finding solitude and inner peace

Skanda Purana proclaims "यत्र ब्रह्मा च विष्णुश्च शिवश्चापि प्रतिष्ठिताः। तत्र स्नानं च दानं च सर्वपापविनाशनम्॥" “Where Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva reside—in such a place, bathing and giving in charity destroys all sins.” Pushkar is one such place. It is said that a dip in Pushkar Sarovar during Kartik Purnima is equivalent to performing hundreds of yajnas. 📿 Padma Purana says: "पुष्करिण्यां स्नात्वा तु कर्तव्यमिह मानवैः। पुण्यं लभ्यते तेन स्वर्गलोको न दुर्लभः॥" “By bathing in the sacred Pushkar Lake, humans attain great merit, and heaven is not far from them.”

Serene place in pushkar you can sit here and feel the vibes. Very beautiful place.

The lake and temple was nice. But bitter experience with the priests who are insisting to pay donation as part of rituals. Nice view of the lake surrounded by a lots of ghats.

It's a nice holi lake in Pushkar,India. Near the lake you have to walk without shoes,to get a good karma. You will see monkeys ,cows there too.

It was scenic, the market around the lake is beautiful showcasing varied handloom products, overall you can visit the place and spend some time in solace and peace.

Jay Brahma ji . Puahkar tirth thirtho ka mama kahlata hai। Ye Rajasthan ke ajmer district me sthit hai. Yaha ajmer se bus dwara pahuncha jata hai. Yaha har varsh kartik purnima ko Mela lagta hai Ye Hindu dharm ka pavitra tirth hai.

Can literally be visited every year. Such a mesmerizing view of the sunsets along side the beautiful lake. The place has it's own vibe. Best to be visited after Diwali.

അജ്മീറിലെ അലച്ചലുകൾക്ക് ഒടുവിൽ ഏറെ വൈകിയാണ് പുഷ്കറിലേക്കുള്ള ബസ്സിൽ കയറുന്നത്. രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ചെറിയ ബസുകളിൽലുള്ള യാത്ര എല്ലാ സമയത്തും നാടോടി കഥകളിൽ വായിച്ചു മറന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലേക്ക് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നത്പോലെയാണ്. തീർത്തും അഭിരിചിതരായ ഗ്രാമീണർ. രണ്ടു വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പ് ജയ്പൂരിൽ നിന്ന് ഇതുപോലെ ചെറിയ ബസ് യാത്രകൾ നടത്തിയത് ഓർമ്മയിൽഇന്നും മായാതെ നിൽക്കുന്നു. അജ്മീർ നഗരത്തെ പിന്നിലാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് അതിവേഗം ചെറിയ വളവുകളും കയറ്റങ്ങളും കയറിയിറങ്ങി പുഷ്കറിലേക്ക്. ഭക്തിയും ആചാരാനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളും ഒരു മാലയിൽ എന്നോണം കെട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്ന താഴ്‌വാരം. പുഷ്കറിലെ രാത്രി കാഴ്ചയിൽ എവിടെനിന്നോ ശിവസ്തുതികൾ കേൾക്കാം. ഭക്ഷണശേഷം ഏറെ വൈകിയാണ് മുറിയിലേക്ക് നടന്നത്. പാതി വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ പുഷ്കർ തടാകത്തിന്റെ ഘട്ടുകളിലൂടെ നടന്നു നീങ്ങുന്ന ആചാര്യന്മാർ,പുരോഹിതർ,അവർക്കു പുറകിലായി ഞാനും എൻറെ നിഴലും. ഇതിനുമുമ്പ് ഞാൻ താമസിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള എല്ലാ ഹോസ്റ്റലുകളിൽ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ അനുഭവമായിരുന്നു ഇത്തവണ താമസത്തിന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഇടം. തടാകത്തിന് ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ഓരോ ഘട്ടുകൾക്കും പോയകാല പ്രതാപത്തിന്റെയും കർമ്മ ബന്ധങ്ങളുടെയും നിരവധി കഥകൾ പറയാനുള്ളത് പോലെ. അലഞ്ഞുതിരിഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്ന കന്നുകാലികളും,ഇളംവേലിന്റെ ചൂടേറ്റു അങ്ങിങ്ങായി പ്രാവിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങളും, വിദേശികൾക്ക് എന്നും ഭക്തിയും ആരാധനയും അടങ്ങാത്തൊരു കൗതുകമാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്നോ നാലോ വർഷങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ ഇത്രയേറെ വിദേശീയരെ ഞാൻ എവിടെയും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. പലതരം ഇഷ്ടങ്ങളെ അന്വേഷിച്ചിറങ്ങിയ മനുഷ്യർ. വലിയൊരു വിഭാഗം ഇന്ത്യൻ ആത്മീയതയുടെയും ആചാര അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് സ്വയം അർപ്പിച്ചവർ. വഴിയോര കച്ചവടങ്ങളിൽ ചെറിയ ചായയും അല്പസ്വല്പം ലഹരിയും നുണഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് എത്രയോപേർ.
