We had an absolutely horrendous experience with Qatar Airways Tehran Office, and I strongly advise anyone booking through their office to think twice before trusting them with your money.
I booked my ticket through their official website in Iran, followed their exact payment instructions, and transferred the required amount to their designated account in Iran within the 24-hour window they provided. Yet, despite following all their rules, they refused to issue my ticket, claiming I had to pay in US Dollars—completely contradicting their own instructions! They had emailed me their bank account details and how to make the payment, and just after the fact, they said I have to pay in USD, which is naturally impossible in Iran!
To make matters worse, I had to ask someone overseas to buy the ticket for me using their credit card, meaning I paid twice for the same flight. Naturally, I requested a refund from their Tehran office, only to be told it would take 28 days to process—an absurdly long time for a straightforward transaction.
While waiting for this refund, I've been fed lies and excuses from different staff members, each telling me a different story—from “the refund has been processed in four tranches” to “you need to wait the full 28 days.” Clearly, the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.
This has been an absolute nightmare—a shameful display of incompetence and dishonesty from an airline that claims to be “world-class.” How does a global airline operate with such inconsistency, misinformation, and lack of accountability?
Qatar Airways, you have lost our trust completely and I will make sure others know how poorly you treat your customers.
Avoid this airline unless you enjoy frustration, financial uncertainty, and endless runarounds!
