Ramboda Falls is truly one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in Sri Lanka and definitely a must-visit destination in the hill country. Located in the beautiful Pussellawa area of the Kandy District, this majestic waterfall stands out as one of the tallest on the island and offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and travellers alike. The sight of the powerful white water cascading down two rocky tiers into the pool below is absolutely mesmerising. Standing at around 358 ft tall, it is easy to see why Ramboda Falls is considered the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The surrounding misty mountains and lush greenery make the scenery even more magical. There is a well-positioned viewpoint where visitors can safely enjoy panoramic views and capture stunning photographs of the falls. For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, the uphill trekking trail leading closer to the waterfall is also very rewarding and offers a wonderful connection with nature. The cool climate, fresh mountain air, and the sound of rushing water create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Whether you are travelling through Nuwara Eliya or exploring the central highlands, Ramboda Falls is definitely worth stopping by to experience its natural beauty.

If you search for Ramboda waterfall on the map you will see many locations, it turns out that Ramboda waterfall has 3 parts: upper, middle and lower parts. The one I visited was the lower part which was next to Ramboda waterfall hotel, you can access the waterfall through the hotel with entrance fee of less than one dollar. The view was spectacular. I recommend you bring bathing suit with you and take a swim in the hotel pool and enjoy the spectacular view of the waterfall and tea plantations, it will cost less than 3$. I also recommend having lunch in the hotel, they offer a buffet on the terace with view of the waterfall. The food was really good and versatile. It costs about 9$ per person.

We were lucky to have Zameek as a guide, who knew how to get through the hotel to the lower falls. Lovely rainbow from the spray! Upper falls - don't attempt the climb if your legs aren't strong. Google says 450/500 steps to the top! Fulfilled my bucket list item to stand under a waterfall, so it was worth the jelly-legs!

Refreshing Swim: The water is incredibly refreshing and cool. It’s the perfect spot to take a dip and swim, especially after the walk up. Total Experience: Between the mist from the falls and the fresh mountain air, it’s a revitalizing experience. I highly recommend visiting if you want a mix of adventure and relaxation. It's a beautiful spot that you definitely shouldn't skip!

Водопад Рамбода. Высота 108 метров. Относится к числу самых красивых в Шри-Ланке, Находится в Нувара-Элии. От виллы,на которой мы жили на Хиккадуве, ехали 6 часов на машине. И 20-30 минут на туктуке по узкой горной дороге. Это страшно!!! Это стоит того!!!! Передать словами красоты и ощущения невозможно!!! Это тройной водопад, состоит из трех: малого (нижнего), среднего, и большого (верхнего). Верхний водопад с дороги не увидеть, до него нужно идти по тропе вверх около полукилометра, на что уходит 20-30 минут. У подножия верхнего водопада находится большой бассейн, в котором мы плавали, и большая каменистая площадка, Виды просто потрясающие. Когда стоишь на краю горного обрыва и три мощных потока стремятся вниз образуя два озера небесно- голубого цвета- дыхание замирает! Я в дико восторге!

The entrance to the path is easy to find, just before the bridge where you can see the river and the lower part of the waterfall. A ticket is required to enter. The trail has cement steps and a paved path most of the way, with plenty of natural shade from the trees. The hike isn’t extremely difficult, but it does require some effort, so it’s best not to attempt it right after a heavy meal. It takes about 20 minutes of walking to reach the base of the waterfall. The waterfall itself is beautiful, with rocks and a natural pond area where you can climb around and enjoy the view. Just be careful on the rocks as they can be slippery. A nice little hike for those visiting the area.

A superb experience! When you pass the bend make sure to park and go on the hike. It's about 20 mins and it's worth it. There is a guy who charges about 50 bucks for entrance. Make sure to take water and wear proper clothing as the hike gets a bit challenging.

Belle cascade sans possibilité de baignade en dessous. Ascension de 15 minutes avec de belles marches depuis le pont . Rien de compliqué pour autant. Dommage que le site soit payant bien même que ça soit quelque chose de naturel. (200 roupies par personne )

An outstanding set of waterfalls with numerous viewing points and rock pools along the route. Entry is cheap at 200 rupees (<£1/$1/€1). There is an area near the bottom you can paddle and swim in, though the main attraction is the views at the top (the bits of the waterfall you see at road level are not the main waterfall). The ascent is not for those with mobility issues. The stairs are uneven and frequently disappear to be replaced by rocks. There is a guardrail, which doubles as a handrail. It is somewhat tiring to get up to the top, but worth it. Along the route are several points you can get to the rock pools along the path of the waterfall (which is more of a series of drops). At the top is a viewing platform, and access to the rock pool at the base of the main waterfall (due to boulders and secondary waterfalls you can't get within 30m of the main waterfall). A really good way of spending an hour.

Visited Ramboda Falls yesterday (11/04) The water level was quite low due to the recent dry weather, so the falls weren’t as powerful as expected. Still, the area is very scenic and peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Worth a visit, but it would definitely be more impressive during the rainy season ❤️

A must-visit spot for nature lovers and photographers. The unique multi-tiered structure of the falls—especially where the two water sources merge—creates a stunning visual. The whole area is covered in lush greenery, and the mist rolling off the water gives it a magical feel. Try to visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds and get the best light for photos..

Absolutely painstakingly beautiful waterfall. One must go to Ramboda water fall when visiting Nuwara Eliya,a quintessential town in Sri Lanka. This fall is approximately 1-1.5 Kilometres from the main road. I was helped by a local tour guide from ‘Bruno’s Tours’ to explore the entire places of Nuwara Eliya.

Плюсы: К водопаду довольно легко добраться, рядом есть смотровые площадки и отель с одноименным названием, откуда открывается лучший вид. Совет: Если хотите сделать крутые фото без толпы, лучше приезжать пораньше утром. Воздух здесь свежий и прохладный — отличный отдых от жары!

Wauwie, echt een prachtige waterval in de ongerepte natuur! Zeker een aanrader om te doen als je hier passeert. Ik betaalde als toerist 200lkr. Ik kon mijn brommer gratis parkeren tegenover de Hindoe tempel (waar het pad naar de waterval ook begint).

I liked this place. Lovely waterfall and scenery around. Appreciate the vehicle drivers who take you down from the main road along a curvy slope road and then take you up the climb, hats off to them.

藍波達瀑布（රම්බොඩ ඇල්ල；Ramboda Falls）位於位於努沃勒埃利耶與康提之間的山區，是斯里蘭卡中部高地最壯觀的瀑布之一。

I visited the Lower Falls of Ramboda. This is an easy waterfall to access without having to trek for ages! I caught the local bus from Kandy going south. I got off just after the tunnel and went down the very steep slope to the Ramboda Hotel. Take the lift down to the restaurant and then walk down the steps to the view point which is at the bottom of the falls. I had intended to stop for some lunch at the hotel but it was full of coach parties so just got the lift back up, walked up the slope to get my next bus to Nuwara Eliya. Near the bus stop you can view the falls at either side of the road, but it is definitely worth seeing them from the bottom. If you’re passing through Ramboda stop and take a look. 😊

Hike was about 20 minutes and fairly steep, some scrambling in parts. We swam at the waterfall which was beautiful and cold. It cost 200lkr per person

Cute waterfall, without people it would be very nice place to relax and enjoy the sun and water. When I was there the water was not deep and was very cooling.
