I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC for almost a week, from shortly before the 28 Feb regional conflict to a few days after, and I came away deeply impressed by the professionalism of the entire team. What stood out most was the hotel’s strong sense of duty of care. The staff managed to maintain a calm and reassuring atmosphere throughout the property, which helped guests feel at ease despite the circumstances. At the same time, it was clear that careful contingency planning was taking place behind the scenes. Guests received clear written communication about the situation and the designated shelter-in-place areas, and even the staircases leading to these areas were clearly labeled. It was a thoughtful and well-organized approach to guest safety. Service standards also remained high throughout my stay. Breakfast continued to be well supplied, and the housekeeping team kept rooms and public areas impeccably maintained. It was evident that many people were working quietly in the background to ensure both safety and comfort. Under such unusual circumstances, the team managed to maintain both professionalism and a sense of normalcy. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and, weird as it might sound, would gladly return when I am next in Dubai.
