Had a wonderful stay at Royal Plaza Inn by RAK Rooms, Kozhikode. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. A special thanks to Ajith and Saadb from the Front Office for the warm and welcoming reception, they truly made check-in smooth and pleasant. Vijay Kumar also deserves special appreciation for his great support and assistance with the booking, making the entire process hassle-free. Riyasul from Housekeeping maintained excellent cleanliness and comfort throughout the stay. The restaurant breakfast staff were equally commendable, offering attentive service and a great start to each day. Overall, the team’s professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for guests made the stay memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kozhikode!

The room was spacious and the breakfast buffet was good…these were the only positives of our stay. The staff were polite and courteous as well. However, the major issue was the mosquitoes. They were so bad that we couldn’t sleep at all. It was a horrible experience, especially since we had a 9 hour drive the next day. On top of that, the hotel is located very close to a railway track, which made it extremely noisy. At checkout, we were asked to pay for a soft drink from the minibar that we did not consume. The checkout process took time, since we didn’t want to waste more time arguing, we paid for it anyway. Charging extra for additional water is also disappointing, especially in this climate where access to drinking water should be basic. We had stayed at another hotel the previous day that was much cheaper but offered a far better experience. Additionally, breakfast starting at 8:00 am feels a bit late and could be scheduled earlier for travelers. Overall, I would give this hotel only 2 stars , mainly because the mosquito issue made it impossible to get proper rest. Hope they take this seriously and make necessary improvements.

Review: I stayed at this property for one night. Overall, the experience was quite positive — the rooms are spacious, the location is convenient, and the check-in process was smooth and well handled. However, what left a very unpleasant impression was the checkout experience. I was asked to pay ₹200 for a glass water bottle that accidentally fell off the table and broke. This was quite surprising and, honestly, disappointing. In all my travel experience, this is the first time I’ve encountered a hotel charging a guest for something like a glass bottle, which is inherently fragile and expected to be part of normal usage. Such a policy feels outdated and not customer-friendly. Guests do not request for water to be kept in glass bottles, and accidents can happen. By the same logic, would a guest be charged if a glass or plate accidentally broke while dining in the restaurant? It’s unfortunate because the property itself is good, but policies like this take away from the overall experience. I would strongly urge the management to reconsider such practices, as they can negatively impact guest perception and satisfaction.

The beds were comfortable, the air-conditioning worked well, and the space felt cozy enough to unwind after a long day out. Housekeeping maintained good cleanliness standards, and the environment felt safe and quiet, which we really appreciated during our stay. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality from the staff. A special and heartfelt mention goes to Ajith, Saadh, and Rijusue. They were incredibly polite, friendly, and consistently attentive to our needs. Whether it was helping with requests, guiding us, or simply checking in to make sure we were comfortable, they always did so with genuine care and a positive attitude. Their professionalism and warmth made us feel valued as guests, and honestly, their service was the highlight of our entire experience. It’s rare to come across such dedicated and approachable staff, and they really made a lasting impression on us. There were a few minor maintenance issues worth mentioning. Since I had booked two rooms, one of the showers wasn’t functioning properly, which caused a bit of inconvenience. Additionally, there were some cosmetic damages on the walls, including small chips and pieces off the plaster in a few spots, which slightly affected the overall appearance of the room. These weren’t major concerns or deal-breakers, just small details that could easily be fixed with a bit of upkeep and touch-up work. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall comfort of the rooms, the convenient location, and especially the outstanding service from the staff more than made up for them. With a little maintenance and attention to those small cosmetic issues, this place would easily feel top-tier. All things considered, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend Royal Plaza Inn and the Royal Residence rooms to anyone visiting Calicut. Had a wonderful stay at Royal Plaza Hotel for 2 days. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The staff were polite, professional, and always ready to help. A special mention to Reception Manager Ajit, who was extremely courteous and ensured my stay was smooth and pleasant. His hospitality and attentive service truly stood out. Overall, a very good experience, and I would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Stayed here for a day and the rooms were superb. Nice comfy beds. All facilities are nice in rooms. One of the best I have stayed in this price range. Breakfast was decent too. Live food is not there currently due to gas shortage issue.

Unbelievable stay experience and it exceeded all my expectations. Room facilities and Hospitality provided by the staffs were outstanding I stayed in various hotels in most of major cities in south india and abroad as well and this standard is truly world class and I did not expect this to be honest and at one point I felt like I could extend my stay here but due to my work commitments I could not do that but definitely looking forward for more stays in upcoming years. Very big room, comfort bed, chill AC, speed WiFi, excellent breakfast, great staffs, etc… Thanks for the service and it was a perfect stay experience.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a genuinely lovely experience. The staff were the highlight of our visit. Everyone was warm, attentive, and truly committed to making our stay comfortable. We had a small issue with the pillows, and they immediately arranged replacements, which showed how much they care about their guests. Everything else during our stay was excellent. The room was clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the breakfast was outstanding. It was fresh, flavorful, and felt like a world class spread. The entrance is located underground, which felt a little unusual at first. However, once you walk in, the interior looks absolutely world class and sets a great tone for the rest of the stay. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would gladly stay here again.

Very poor service. The behavior and arrogance of the staff are such that anyone who stays there once would never want to take a room again. Their attitude towards customers shows a complete lack of trust. They forcefully collect the full payment in advance. There is absolutely no cooperation from their side. Even the home theater room has no air conditioning. We had also stayed at Grand Plaza, and the experience there was the same.

Very new hotel. So you can expect fresh rooms, bathrooms and excellent service by hotel staff as well. Only 750m from beach- walkable. Very close to Beyond burger calicut.

We stayed for three nights. Good hotel. Excellent location, very near to site seeing places, beach. The staff is very courteous. Breakfast is good and with lots of variety for adults and kids. Parking is in the basement, enough space available.

I had a wonderful stay at Royal Plaza Inn! The hotel is conveniently located near the railway station, making it easy to get around. The breakfast was very good, and the entire place was neat and clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always available whenever I needed anything. The room was in good shape, and the staff were welcoming. Breakfast was just average. However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness. There was noticeable amount of dust and dirt on the floor and in the corners, especially in the toilet, which made me question the quality of the housekeeping service. The carpet in the corridor also needed better cleaning. There were no slippers provided in the room, which forced us to wear our shoes inside due to dirty floor and toilet. The air conditioner was set to 24°C and did not provide sufficient cooling. It also took long time to cool the room each time we returned, as the power shut off when we left the room due to key lock system. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell in the room. Although room fragrance hangers were placed inside, it did not seem effective. Considering the amount of money I paid (5900 rupees), the overall experience should have been much better.

We recently stayed at Royal Plaza Inn by RAK Rooms in rooms 2208 and 2209. The rooms were quite spacious and appeared clean on arrival, which was a good first impression. The breakfast was really good with a nice variety and the staff were polite and courteous throughout our stay. However, we had a major issue with mosquitoes in both rooms. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep at all because of mosquitoes. If you are planning to stay here specifically for a good night’s sleep, this is something to seriously consider, as the mosquitoes made it extremely uncomfortable. I hope the management addresses this issue, as the hotel has good potential otherwise.

I stayed at Royal Plaza Inn Hotel in Kozhikode a week ago. Very clean rooms. Front office staff was very polite. I have to say that they took care of our needs even during our busy work hours. And to fix our cars. Standing at the front desk. One Mr Ajith took special care. Thank you very much. We had a hard time. Even though we said it was a headache.
