Redwood National and State Parks is, without question, one of the most incredible places I have ever seen in my life. From the moment you enter, you are surrounded by massive, awe-inspiring redwood trees that make you feel small in the best possible way. The scale of these trees is unbelievable, and the forest has a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere that is hard to describe. Every part of the park has its own unique beauty. Whether you’re walking through dense redwood groves, exploring open forest areas, or stopping at scenic viewpoints, each location offers something special and memorable. The trails are impressive and well maintained, with options for all levels—from easy walks to more adventurous hikes. Every trail feels like a new discovery. The camping areas are excellent, clean, and perfectly placed within nature, allowing you to truly experience the forest day and night. The viewpoints are breathtaking, offering stunning perspectives of the forest, coastline, and surrounding landscapes. It’s a perfect combination of nature, tranquility, and adventure. This park has everything you could want from a world-class redwood forest: towering trees, beautiful scenery, well-designed trails, great camping, and unforgettable views. I will absolutely be coming back—and honestly, I would return just for this area alone. Highly recommended to anyone who loves nature or wants to experience something truly special.

Drove the 101 hwy down to California's Redwood National Park, there is nothing like it anywhere in the world. Beautiful, majestic trees that span over 20ft diameter. The Sequoia trees are only in the PNW, well worth seeing.

I was fortunate to spend 2 months out here for work. I mean amazing! I don't have the words for all the things I saw. There are many different variations of the Park to explore. The one which I am showing here is in the Park. The coast with its ocean, beaches, and forest is my review. I hope you like the pics. Yes, I actually collected 213 sand dollars for my daughter.

Both the national and state parks in the state of California are top notch. This is an extra special treat as it's jointly managed by the state and federal parks systems. The Redwoods are hard to describe and photos will never do them justice. This area of the state is unbelievably gorgeous from the sheer density of beautiful trees to the cliffs of the Pacific. Not to mention the wild Elk and other animals. Everyone should visit here and gather an understanding of how truly special these trees and this area are.

Today we had the joy of celebrating the wedding of Andrew’s daughter, Kaitlyn, and her husband, Michael, in the breathtaking Redwood forest. Surrounded by these ancient trees, their love felt peaceful, strong, and beautifully rooted. It was such a meaningful moment to witness them begin this new chapter together in a place so timeless and full of life. Congratulations, Kaitlyn and Michael. May your marriage be filled with patience, laughter, kindness, and a love that continues to grow deeper with every season.

This is the ultimate Pacific Northwest coast: a moody, misty dream that has haunted me for years. And now I finally got to be here, to experience it in person. It felt unreal, almost unbelievable. I’ll remember this place for the rest of my life. This is the best national park I’ve ever visited, and I’ll always rate it at the very top.

This is a mysterious, magical place. We felt like we were visiting the world as it was before humans existed. The trees are so huge, so ancient ... they are difficult to describe. Experience them; it's the only way.

Beautiful place to go for a hike wether you'relocal or visiting. Bring good shoes and will need an SUV to get there (need to pass a stream) and the road is rough once you pass the park toll to enter.

Redwood National and State Parks is pure magic. Walking beneath the tallest trees on Earth feels like stepping into a living cathedral sunlight filtering through ancient redwoods, ferns glowing at your feet, and the hush of the forest all around. Add in rugged Pacific coastline and misty trails, and it’s nothing short of unforgettable.

One of America’s great natural wonders, Redwood National Park, on the Northern California Pacific coast, is home to the world’s tallest trees. It’s like taking a walk through an other- worldly place when you experience it for the first time and it leaves a lasting impression that few other National Parks can match. Redwood National Park is combined with California redwood state parks and when you visit, you may get confused as to which of the two you are actually in. The area is somewhat remote, and when I approached the parks, I noticed that my cell phone was no longer able to pick up a signal. I had a good, general idea where I was so I continued on my way and followed the signs to one of the Visitor’s Centers. This is a good way to start your visit, at one of the centers, where you can learn more about the trees and grab a few refreshments before starting to explore. I visited from the south and started off at Thomas Kuchel Visitor Center before making my way north on Highway 101. There are many opportunities to exit the highway, drive into the park, park your car, and experience the redwood forest. There are many places you can park your car- not traditional parking lots, just a place to pull over. You can then walk into the forest, take pics, hike one of the trails, etc. The redwood trees are magnificent and those who visit for the first time will stand in awe as they gaze skyward. The redwoods are the world’s tallest trees, often confused with another California wonder, the sequoia trees, which are the world’s largest trees. Both are impressive in their own way. I recommend at least taking a short hike when you visit Redwood National Park so that you can soak up the natural beauty. It’s usually chilly in this part of the country and, if you visit during the late fall through early spring, it’s usually rainy and damp, so be prepared. California is home to countless natural wonders and Redwood National Park is among its finest. Be sure to visit if you’re in this part of the country and allow at least a few hours to enjoy the park to its fullest. It’s one of the nation’s greatest natural attractions.

This was my second visit a couple of days ago, and I decided to drive up Davison road to the Fern Canyon parking lot area, to explore and otherwise see an area that in summer time, requires a permit to enter. The drive and views of nature were AMAZING! Once I got to the pay booth ($12) the young park ranger/attendant wearing glasses was very kind, and personable. I felt very welcome to be there after my conversation with him. I only had a couple of hours to explore the beach and a little bit of Fern Canyon, but this definitely inspired me to come back with my family in the near future. This place is magical and the CA state parks people make you feel welcome. Although this was a quick venture trip on my own to see what that area of the park was about while I was in town on other business, I see now why the ratings are so high. This place is MAGICAL!

Lovely lake and extensive trail access. There are benches and picnic areas, with a clean restroom and ample parking. The views from the trails are incredible. Easy access from Hwy 101.

Redwood National and State Parks are basically nature's skyscraper district -- where the trees are taller than city buildings, the air smells like rain and moss, and everything makes you whisper "whoa" without realizing it. A cathedral of trees where time slows down. Where Earth shows off its tallest flex. Jurassic vibes, minus the dinosaurs. Some of the highlights of the parks are Klamath River Outlook, Newton B. Drury Parkway, and the easy and beautiful Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail. I am glad I have been there!

Huge trees everywhere. Elk! Trees! Almost Noone here this time of year in February. 3to 6 foot ferns often cover the ground. Nearly silent in the wood. Erie and wonder at once

I haven't been to the Redwoods since I was a child. I remember it being such an amazing breath taking experience. I was so excited to share this with my children . I have to admit as an adult it is still an amazing experience. I highly recommend anyone who has a chance to go should take it. Also check out grove of the titans while you are there.

Beautiful but if you are just going to see the falls the distance on the sign is for there and back otherwise you do the full trail and it is considerably longer.
