The Green Mosque, which is a relic from the Qajar period, is located on Molavi Street and the old neighborhood of Akhund. Akhund neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Qazvin, which is named after the famous mystic of Qazvin, Mullah Khalil Ibn Ghazi of Qazvin, who was known as Mullah Khalila. The tomb of this mystic is located in the same neighborhood and in the house of the counselor. Green Mosque is a small mosque that belongs to the Qajar period. This mosque was built in 1263 AH by Haji Yousef Qazvini. This building has been used for more than 130 years and people offer prayers in it and also religious ceremonies are held in it. Green Mosque was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran in 2001 with the number 4202. The mosque now has no courtyard, but has a nave with six columns, and at the entrance to the mosque, there are inscriptions on which are written the poems, the name of the founder of the mosque and the time of its construction.
