The whole place is full of filth and mess. It's better to take mask beforehand, otherwise you end up having severe dust allergies. Besides all of it, you'll get all vegetables in half of the price charged by retail vegetable seller, usually.

Visitors in cars have to park outside or just closed to entrance inside to avoid traffic jam etc inside and wear mask as it is very crowded area.

Wonderful market. I go once in a month at least. There is a big difference in rates from normal market in both vegetables and fruits and the best thing is, you find everything thing fresh.

Sabzi Mandi is located on highway Karachi. It's very far away from main city. People often visit here for cheap vegetables and fruits. But reality is there is no much difference in prices. Yeh stuff is cheap here as compared to city market but time you spent here and fuel you consumed to reach out here will equalize the whole scenario. Roads are totally damaged and it's not clean at all. If you own your vehicle then must pay visit.

The prices of the fruits and vegetables were very reasonable, everything was at low price... Nowadays tomatoes are expensive in the market their rate 200/Kg but in mandi it is 50/Kg... You should visit their in the start of month. The things you buy here in 3000 you will get their 1000 or 1200

Visited new sabzi mandi super highway on 31 may 24..condition of sabzi mandi is very bad no cleanliness bad trafik bad roads.. however U may get veggies and fruits on very economical rates also the quality far better then the fruites available in local markets. mangoes like langra, 800 rs box almost 10 kg like wise Sindhi 900 kg box and almas bod mangoes box 1000.. very all economically very good if U have bof family circle U may get very cheap vegies and fruites from there

26-OCT-2024: The season has ended for mangos (آم) and peaches (آڑو). Now in season are green and red apples (سیب), persimmons (املوک/جاپانی فروٹ), pomegranates (انار), plums (آلوبخارا/ آلوچہ), grapes (انگور), oranges (نارنجی) and pears (ناشپاتی ). Also available are bananas (کیلہ/موز), papayas (پپیتہ), watermelon (تربوز), melons (خربوزہ), grapefruit (چکودرہ/گریپ فروٹ), and guava (امرود/جام). Kinnow (کینو) season is about to start, maybe in a week or so. The New Sabzi Mandi is open every day, come rain or shine. Fewer buyers show up during rains, so the prices drop during those times. The best time to come to this market is early in the morning, when you can get the better quality produce. If one arrives later in the day, most of the wholesalers are gone, and the best produce has already been taken by the early shoppers, so one gets not the best stuff, and at a bit higher prices than one might have paid in the morning. Arrive before 9 AM if you want the best goods, 9AM-12 noon for OK stuff, 12-3PM for tolerable stuff, and after 3PM for "I-know-I-should-have-arrived-earlier" stuff. Don't expect to find wholesalers auctioning off large lots after 10AM. In the afternoon, there will be mid-level vendors selling crates/cartons singly, and close to the main gate will be retailers selling smaller quantities (by the kg). There are two entrance gates to the market: the one on the left is where the vegetables are, and the gate on the right takes you directly to the fruits section. The left/west gate (vegetables section) is being re-built these days. It is usually necessary to buy different items from different places, as the guys selling fruits by the crate/carton usually keep only a few varieties of fruits each. The retail stalls just outside the main gate have many varieties of fruit, but the prices are not as attractive as the pricing you get when you buy from inside the market in bulk (crates/cartons). One might say that the market inside is not really suitable for ladies, as it is too crowded and you also need to wear tough shoes to walk around. If you hire someone to carry your stuff, you'll need to keep an eye on him too, so he doesn't "accidentally" get separated from you in the rush. There are also rickshaws and Suzuki pickups available inside the market for transport, in case you buy a lot of stuff. Ladies can more easily shop at the retail stalls just outside the main gate. For prices, there's very little bargaining you can do, e.g., Rs. 50-100 (or less) for a crate that costs Rs.3000-4000. Come at a time when it's not uncomfortably hot, so that you may explore the market more comfortably, and be prepared to walk a lot, as it is a vast place, and everything is not available at a single location. Do gather up the determination to visit the place, and happy exploring!

کراچی سبزی منڈی شہر میں سبزی والوں سے کچھ دام ‏سبزی سستی مل جاتی ہے مگر ہر سبزی سستی نہیں ملتی ہاں۔۔۔!!!! ایک بہت بڑی مقدار میں سبزی خریدیں تو سستی ملتی ہے مثال کے طور پر مٹر ہے شہر میں بھی سو روپے کا ہے اور سبزی منڈی میں بھی سو روپے کا ہے لیکن اگر پوری بوری لیں گے 15 کلو کی تو وہ آپ کو 80 روپے پر کلو ملے گی
