Paid just ₹89 per adult, which is absolutely worth it for the parking, clean restrooms, and shower facilities. The beach is very clean and well-maintained, with lifeguards present, which made the experience safe and comfortable. The water sports activities in the backwaters were excellent and well-organized. Great amenities overall, and we easily spent half a day enjoying the place. Also nice to have a bar, restaurant, and ATV rides available on-site. Review: Beach & Adventure Activities at Sand Dunes, Pondicherry Sand Dunes in Pondicherry is an excellent spot if you're looking for a mix of beach vibes and adventure. It’s located very close to the Le Pondy hotel, which makes it easy to reach, and they also have ample parking space. The entry ticket is around ₹90 per person. They have a good range of water activities like yacht boat rides, jet ski rides(expensive), banana boat rides, kayaking and water jumping. Toilet facilities are good. Eatiries are available.. While these were enjoyable, I would say they were more of an average experience compared to the main highlight of the place. The real attraction—and something I had been waiting nearly 3 months for—is the Paramotoring experience. Luckily, I got a slot this time, and it turned out to be absolutely amazing. The total flying time was around 15–20 minutes, and the cost was ₹3500 per person. They have a weight restriction of 90 kg max. You can also get a GoPro video recording for an additional ₹750. One thing to note is that paramotoring is fully dependent on weather conditions. If it rains or if the wind speed is too low, they cancel the activity. There are no advance bookings; it works purely on a first-come-first-serve basis—so a bit of luck is needed. Overall, Sand Dunes is a great destination for a fun, refreshing outing. Whether it’s relaxing by the beach or trying out various adventure activities, it’s definitely worth visiting—especially if you’re planning to try paramotoring.

Excellent beach…. Blue water, white sand, neat and clean…. Probably the cleanest beach of India (because it is privately managed)…. I can say this because I have been to best of the beaches in India (Palolem and Agonda in Goa, Kudle in Gokarna)…. Entry fee is nominal (appx 90/-). They have a restaurant and bar inside as well. I deducted 1 ⭐️ because the cashier at the restaurant was little rude though he apologised later, still that was uncalled for.

March 2026 Visited 2nd time but this time with family.. Vacation time this place is overcrowded otherwise ok. Public in overcrowded times goes crazy. Nighter beach or water will vanish if they enter a bit late too😂. It is a clean private beach where entry is allowed with charges. You have eatery/drink places with little higher price. Shacks available with per hour charges.(100/-) Life guards available and they put a rope for a designated place to play in water. Here you can play very easily and it is clean water compare to other beaches with less sand getting inside your clothes and hair. Safe and beautiful place with separate bathing and changing rooms without any charge. Water sports are available to keep you occupied all day. Must visit place but to be avoided in peak seasons. Better try Eden beach in overcrowded times.

The restaurant was the only good part of this resort. We had a great meal and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was very attentive. The restaurant was very well maintained. However the washroom facilities were absolutely pathetic. I have never seen such horrible conditions after taking a price from the customer.

Visited Sandunes Beach and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a bit crowded but has a fun, chill vibe with lively music and people relaxing by the shore. There’s a nice shack offering good food and chilled drinks, perfect for unwinding and watching the waves. The entry fee is ₹70, which feels reasonable for the setup. Great spot to hang out with friends, enjoy the beach atmosphere, and spend a laid-back evening. Definitely recommended for those looking for a lively beach experience.

There lot of other beaches nearby which are better than this and they are free. Access to this beach is through a resort so they charge 89 Rs per person which is too much. Water activities here are also expensive. Waves are also weak. Better go to Eden Beach.

But once they expand the range of activities, improve maintenance, and add more attractions, Sandunes could easily become one of the top fun spots in Pondicherry.

The Sandunes Paradise beach was beautiful, but the arrogant and threatening behavior of the safety staff turned our fun trip into the worst experience. No visitor deserves to be insulted, intimidated, or treated with violence for simply asking questions. They even forced us to leave immediately, leaving all six of us shocked and deeply disappointed!

We went to sandunes paradise beach for water sports. We did the donut ride where a boat pulls an air inflated donut. That was fire!! Then the jet ski was also good. Staff is very helpful and kind. There is also a floating restaurant if you want to eat food. Only turnoff was the prices for the sports Entry Free for below 10 Else ₹89 Jet ski - ₹1000 Donut ride (3ppl can sit) - ₹750 per head Another thing - EV chargers are close by, 1 in RKN resorts and another in Le Pondy resorts.

People working in and around are very polite. From the parking place security in entrance - to - entry ticket selling staff - to - play ticket selling staff - to - the clothes sales staff - to - aqua park safety employees - to - water ride place ticket checkers - to - water ride driving profectionals I personally felt absolutely calm and well guided.

It has a very big parking place. Accessing price for this paradise beach is Rs 70/-. Maintenance is decent. The beach is very clean and neat. Have changing rooms and showers. Bottles 🍾 are not allowed inside this beach but have their own bars This is a private beach you can access the other side of beach through boat that is maintained by Government

Our family favourite beach. Good crowd & vibrant place on weekends. Safety is adequate. Very long beach with multiple adventure sports available. Most happening place at night. Beach bar is open upto 1 am.
