Overall the experience was OK! The food fell below my expectations. I watched couple of reviews from influencers before visiting and that can be the reason I had high expectation. The first order was late though the other orders were on time. They have classic set up to prepare sekuwa. Indoor and outdoor section as well as private spaces. And they have parking for 2 wheelers as well though the entrance looks bit smaller. For kids they have equipments to play and a friendly rabbit. Your kids will love it

Wonderful Dining Experience at Secret Garden Restaurant & Café – A Hidden Gem in Kathmandu During my recent visit to Kathmandu, I had the pleasure of dining at the Secret Garden Restaurant & Café, and it turned out to be one of the most delightful culinary experiences of the trip. 🍽️ Delicious Food with Local Flavors The food was truly excellent, with a menu that offers both traditional Nepali cuisine and a variety of international options. We tried the Nepali Special Thakali Set, and it was absolutely delicious and authentic. Every component—from the dal (lentils) to the tarkari (vegetables) and gundruk—was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The chapatis were soft, fresh, and served warm, complementing the meal beautifully. The balance of spices, the freshness of the ingredients, and the attention to presentation made it clear that the kitchen takes real pride in their dishes. 🤝 Exceptional Hospitality The hospitality was outstanding. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their service was not only professional but also warm and personal. They took time to explain the dishes and ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. 🌿 Ambience and Setting As the name suggests, Secret Garden truly lives up to its name. The atmosphere is peaceful, charming, and beautifully decorated with greenery and thoughtful design. Whether you're sitting indoors or enjoying the outdoor garden area, it’s a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city. It feels like a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, making it ideal for both casual lunches and cozy dinners.

Worst experience ever. Went with the family to celebrate New year but was totally disappointed. Waited almost about 2hrs for the food to arrive. They didn't ask for permission and cancelled the order on their own. Food was very bad in taste. After bringing the food they didn't even provide the cutlery. Have to ask 4-5 time for the cutlery. We ordered 6-7 dishes but only 3were served after waiting about 2hrs and at last moment they told we must cancel the order. They didn't even apologise for the inconveniences and told that it was due to new year.

One of the Best most well managed restaurant of the place the food is also no less amongst the best of the vincinity. The three tiered restaurant ensures relevant ambience as per liking. Open closed or with space for children to jump and play around. Even live music has also added to the charm of the place.. parking for bikes and small four wheeler is available inside the home.

Nice and good ambience place around bouddha but away from the crowd. Nice view from the place gives calming and peace atmosphere.Staffs are also great. Food is 4/5 but the jhol momo I ordered was a bit off from it's taste otherwise rest of the food I ordered was great.

Place is fine, but food is awful. No freshness in food. Staffs are quite good but acoording to standard and taste of food, Price is also high. Need to improve a lot.

Great vibes and atmosphere — one of the best experiences I’ve had! The staff were super attentive and friendly. Loved the live music, it really brought the place to life. Highly recommend!

I usually believe in supporting local restaurants and sharing constructive feedback. But after working at this resturant I feel it’s important to shed light on what truly goes on behind the scenesbecause the public deserves to know the truth.From the outside, this place might seem like a cozy, friendly spot. But once you’re on the inside, especially as a staff member, the picture changes drastically. The food quality is far below acceptable standards. Ingredients are often reused past their freshness, and shortcuts are taken that compromise hygiene and taste. If you’re wondering why your meal tastes off there’s a reason.What shocked me most, however, was the treatment of the kitchen staff. One of the most talented chefs I’ve ever met was consistently belittled, yelled at, and overworked by the manager for no reason other than power-tripping. Morale in the kitchen was constantly low because of the toxic environment created by management. I personally experienced this mistreatment when I accidentally mixed up a pizza order. Instead of receiving support or a chance to correct the issue, I was humiliated in front of others and forced to pay out of pocket for the mistake. It was incredibly unfair and demoralizing.If you care about how the staff are treated, what goes into your food, or basic human respectI’d recommend thinking twice before dining here. No employee deserves to be treated the way we were, and no customer deserves food made under such conditions.

Ordered carbonara pasta with extra cheese. Pasta was super dry, few week earlier ate same dish it was awesome, so again taste same dish this time totally disappointed. Chef doesn't know how to make carbonara. It was full of cream and super dry. Cheese was moldy and smelly. Service was super slow, avoid visiting in rainy season full of mosquito and smelly.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Surveillance Garden: Where Privacy Goes to Die If you’re a couple looking for a cozy, private escape don’t be fooled by the name. “Secret Garden” should seriously consider rebranding to “Surveillance Garden.” Throughout our visit, a staff member (or perhaps their designated voyeur?) kept peeking in. Not once. Not twice. Constantly. Just when you start to relax, there’s a face at the curtain reminding you you’re not alone. Marketing says “no disturbance.” The reality? You’ll get more glances than a celebrity on a red carpet. To the owners: if you’re going to promise privacy, deliver it. Or at least be honest and list “human CCTV” under the service section. Secret? Maybe. Private? Absolutely not. Romantic? Only if you’re into being watched.

Wow just wow, much impressed by secret garden. Hidden gem in the bouddha area. celebrated birthday last weekend just perfect for any celeration, decor was stylish. Delicious food and amazing service with friendly staff. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend for peaceful evening and good food with good mood😍

Had chicken momo, even though restaurant was almost empty waited for 25 minutes for it. Major disappoinment was momo wasn't on shape all broken from its bottom. Explain same thing to waiters she says it's normal here. Don't recommend this place for others. Rather try Thulo MoMo.

Caught by Diarrhoea!!! Worst food experience ever had, got a ordered Nepali Mutton Thali set waited for almost 30 minutes. Mutton doesn't seems fresh, daal doesn't have any thakali taste at all, mixed veg curry full of wack. Doesn't recommend this place to anyone. Atmosphere fill with so many artificial artifacts.
