Sekuwa by Kilo in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur is a popular spot for enjoying local flavors in a cozy and comfortable environment. The indoor ambience is warm and inviting, making it suitable for casual dining as well as group gatherings. The seating layout works well for small groups and larger groups, which is convenient for friends, families, or office outings. The main attraction here is, of course, the Sekuwa. You can choose from buff, chicken, or pork sekuwa, all of which are nicely marinated and grilled with a good smoky flavor. However, one thing worth mentioning is that the quantity of sekuwa feels a bit on the lower side, even though it is mentioned as 0.5 kg or 1 kg on the menu. Taste-wise it’s good, but portion-conscious diners might notice this difference. Other standout dishes include the Mustang aloo, which is a must-try, and the buff sukuti and choila, both of which are rich in authentic Newari taste and very satisfying. For vegetarian options, corn and peanuts prepared in Newari style are available and go well as sides. They also serve fresh juices, a variety of coffee, beer, and other alcoholic beverages, making it a good place to relax. A big plus is their office lunch offer, where momo, fried rice, or chowmein is available for just Rs. 99 from 12 PM to 3 PM, with a glass of Coke at Rs. 50. Payments are hassle-free with cash, cards, and FonePay accepted, and VAT bills are provided. Overall, it’s a great place for taste and ambience, with just a small note on portion size for sekuwa.
