Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Temple on S.G. Highway, between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar Cross Road, is a beautiful and peaceful spiritual destination dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi. Inspired by the famous Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra, Jammu & Kashmir, it offers devotees a similar divine experience. The temple features a replica of the sacred Vaishno Devi cave, allowing pilgrims to seek blessings and experience the spiritual atmosphere of the original shrine. The serene surroundings, well-maintained premises, and beautiful architecture make it a wonderful place for prayer, meditation, and family visits. A must-visit place with family and friends for spiritual peace and divine blessings. Jai Mataji 🙏

Historical Context & EstablishmentFounding Year: The temple was opened to devotees in 2007 to provide a local alternative for those unable to make the arduous journey to Northern India.Location Placement: It sits prominently on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar (SG) Highway, creating a popular landmark known as the Vaishno Devi Circle.Cultural Purpose: Built by local trusts using Rajasthani and Gujarati artisans to encapsulate the exact spiritual geography of the original Trikuta mountain shrine.Architectural & Design ReplicationMan-Made Hillock: Artisans constructed a 50-foot-tall artificial hill using yellow sandstone to simulate the mountainous terrains of Jammu. The Cave Experience: True to the Katra shrine, devotees must crawl through narrow, rocky artificial caves to reach the inner sanctum sanctorum.Capacity: The temple grounds include a massive 1,350-square-foot multi-level hall capable of holding up to 5,000 pilgrims simultaneously during rush hours.Religious Significance & IdolsThe Three Pindis: The sanctum houses the identical stone representations of the three manifestations of Shakti: Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati.Bhairav Nath Shrine: Keeping with the scriptural lore, a small Shaiva shrine is placed on-site to complete the mandatory darshan loop.Festivals: The temple's modern history is punctuated by immense crowds during the nine days of Navratri, where the entire structure is lavishly decorated.

Great place to visit with family. The Vaishnodevi Temple on SG Highway offers a wonderful spiritual vibe. Walking through the artificial caves to reach the deity at the top is a very unique experience that kids and adults alike will enjoy. The temple premises are clean, and the hilltop design is beautiful. It does get very crowded during peak hours and holidays, so plan your timing accordingly. Definitely worth a visit if you are exploring Ahmedabad!

Visiting Shree Maa Vaishnav Devi Temple in Ahmedabad is a peaceful and spiritual experience. The temple beautifully recreates the cave journey (like the original Vaishno Devi), making the darshan feel special and immersive. As you walk through the cave, chanting and devotional atmosphere create a strong sense of faith and calmness. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and especially beautiful in the evening with lights. It’s a perfect place to feel positive energy, seek blessings, and spend some quiet, devotional time away from city stress. 🙏✨

Vaishno Devi Temple is extremely beautiful, peaceful, and spiritually uplifting. Visiting this holy place brings immense inner peace and positivity. The entire atmosphere is calm and filled with divine energy. The cave (gufa) is very sacred and mesmerizing, where the nine goddesses (Nav Durga) are present along with Lord Shiva and Bhairav Baba. The spiritual experience inside the cave is truly powerful and unforgettable. Overall, it is a very divine and soothing place. Everyone should visit Vaishno Devi Temple at least once in their lifetime to experience its serenity and spiritual bliss. ✨🌸🙏

I had heard about this from billboards on the road and it turned out to be better than I expected. There is even a cave that you have to walk through and everything it’s a really nice experience overall and it’s very well maintained. It’s very clean. I’m a staff is very nice and cordial. They also give a souvenir token coin of Lakshmi Mata for everyone who comes to worship as a keepsake for attracting prosperity, it might be confusing for some people as it is named exactly like the original Vaishno Devi Temple which is in JNK, maybe clarification would be better, but as far as inspired monuments go, it’s very well done. Felt spiritually uplifted after a visit here. The temple premises open at noon and close at 6 PM. They are very timely.

A beautiful and peaceful replica of the original Katra shrine. The highlight is definitely the man-made cave (gufa) that you have to crawl through—it really gives you a sense of adventure and devotion. Pros: Very well-maintained, clean surroundings, and ample parking. Cons: The cave passage is quite narrow, so it might be challenging for elderly people with knee issues or anyone who is claustrophobic.

Visited Shri Maa Vaishnodevi Temple in Ahmedabad last Sunday morning, and honestly, it felt like a mini pilgrimage right here in the city! 🙏 The entire setup is beautifully designed to give you that real Vaishnodevi experience. The replica is quite impressive - especially the rock caves! You literally have to crawl with your head bowed down, just like in the original temple in Jammu. It's a surreal moment when you're inside those narrow caves... gives you goosebumps. But yes, not very suitable for elderly people or those who have knee issues - my uncle skipped the caves and waited outside near the prasad counter. The idol of Maa Vaishnodevi is very peaceful and powerful. As a Vaishnav bhakt, I felt truly connected during darshan. I even got a small coin as prasad which I’ve now kept in my wallet. 🙏 There was a decent crowd, but the line moved smoothly thanks to the volunteers managing it well. You’ll need to remove your shoes outside (as expected), and there’s proper parking available just outside the premises, which is a big relief in a city like Ahmedabad. The temple surroundings are clean and well-maintained too. For anyone who can't travel all the way to Jammu, this temple gives you almost the same spiritual feel - not just visually but emotionally too. Do visit if you want a peaceful, divine break from the chaos of daily life. Har har maa vaishno! 🌸

I recently visited the man-made Vaishno Devi temple in Gujarat, and I must say it’s a beautifully created replica of the original shrine. The detailing, structure, and overall ambiance are really impressive, especially considering that entry is completely free. The place is well-maintained, peaceful, and gives you a spiritual vibe without the long travel or steep trek of the actual Vaishno Devi. It’s a great spot for families, kids, and elderly people who want to experience the feel of the shrine in a convenient and calm environment. Overall, it’s a good replica and definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby. 🙏

Maa Vaishno Devi Temple in Ahmedabad is one of the most peaceful and spiritually uplifting places in the city. Built as a replica of the famous Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu, it gives devotees a similar divine experience without traveling far. The temple is situated on a small artificial hill, and the journey through the cave (gufa) to reach the main shrine feels very unique and भक्तिमय (devotional). Wanderlog +1 The environment is calm, clean, and well-maintained, making it perfect for families, elderly people, and anyone seeking inner peace. The idol of Maa Vaishno Devi along with other goddesses like Lakshmi, Kali, and Saraswati enhances the spiritual vibe of the temple.

A well-constructed temple in Ahmedabad that tries to simulate the tunnel through the rock pathway as in the temple at Katra. Here one has to literally crawl through the tunnel in some places which is a humbling experience. Just like in Katra, you are given a coin. Phones are allowed, but they must be switched off, else the security guard will do it for you! There is one restaurant at the entrance within the complex where one can get hot freshly prepared snacks and two or three shops where packaged food and beverages are available.
