تنهایی نرید، بخصوص اگر ترس از ارتفاع دارید هوا رو چک کنید که در اوج بارندگی یا گرما بالا نرید حتی اگر وسط راه پشیمون شدید ادامه بدید کفش مناسب نیاز داره چون پله ها میتونه لغزنده باشه آب و اسنک همراهتون داشته باشید

در مر کز سریلانکا ستونی صخره از میان جنگل ها سر برآورده است، صخره هایی که حدود ۲۰۰ متر ارتفاع دارند و از جنگل های اطراف سر به بیرون کشیده اند. در بالای این صخره یک مجموعه کاخ بسیار قدیمی به نام قلعه سیگیریا وجود دارد که در دوران پادشاهی شخصی به نام کاسپایا ساخته شده است و قدمت آن به سال ۴۷۷ بعداز میلاد برمی گردد. این قلعه که در بالای صخره سیگیریا و برای پادشاه ساخته شده بود، بعد از مرگ او متروکه شد و تا قرن چهاردهم میلادی به عنوان صومعه ای مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. بعد از آن، تا حدود ۳۰۰ سال هیچ نشانی از این قلعه در دست نبود. این صخره از ماگماهای آتشفشانی به وجود آمده است و سطح بسیار خشن و سختی دارد. باستان شناسان بر این عقیده اند که زندگی در این منطقه از قرن سوم قبل از میلاد ادامه داشته است. کاسپایا به این دلیل سیگیریا را برای ساخت قلعه انتخاب کرد چون از بالای قله ی آن می توانست نمایی ۳۶۰ درجه به بقیه ی مناطق داشته باشد تا در صورت وقوع حمله زود متوجه شود

مکان قشنگیه ولی با ورودی بسیار گرانقیمت(۳۰ دلار) در مسیر بالا رفتن خبری از فروش آب خنک یا تسهیلات اینچنینی نیست. ولی مسیر پر است از افرادی که دنبال پول گرفتن از شما به هر عنوانی هستند. از دستفروش گرفته تا افرادی که می‌خواهند در قبال کمک یا راهنمایی پول بگیرند.

صخره سیگیریا یکی از صدها جاذبه گردشگری کشور زیبای سریلانکا که چشم انداز چشم نواز و زیبایی داره. صخره ای سر ب فلک کشیده در میان جنگل های انبوه که چشم هر بیننده ای رو میگیره البته خود صخره ب شکل شیر تراشیده شده که درحال حاضر فقط پنجه های شیر بجاموندن و بقیه ب مرور زمان فرسایش پیدا کرده و از بین رفتن.

Visited Sigiriya during our Sri Lanka family trip and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From an Indian tourist perspective, this place feels historic, spiritual and architecturally unbelievable. The massive rock rising in the middle of lush greenery is breathtaking. The climb is slightly challenging but completely worth it. The views from the top are stunning and the ancient ruins showcase how advanced the kingdom was centuries ago. The gardens, water systems and rock paintings are very impressive. Visiting early morning is highly recommended. The surrounding experience around Sigiriya is equally amazing. The jungle safari was exciting and well organised, and spotting elephants in their natural habitat was a wonderful experience for the entire family. The elephant experience nearby was also memorable, especially for kids. Overall, Sigiriya offers a perfect mix of history, nature, wildlife and adventure. A must-visit destination in Sri Lanka for Indian families and travellers.

Visiting Sigiriya was one of the most unforgettable experiences in Sri Lanka. Built in the 5th century by King Kashyapa, Sigiriya is not only a breathtaking natural wonder but also an extraordinary masterpiece of ancient engineering and art. The climb to the top is absolutely worth it. Along the way, you pass beautiful water gardens, ancient frescoes painted directly onto the rock walls, and the famous giant lion paws that once guarded the entrance to the palace above. The panoramic views from the summit are spectacular, stretching endlessly across forests and countryside. Every step feels like walking through history.

Ein toller Ort, dessen Besuch unbedingt lohnt. Allerdings ist der Aufstieg ziemlich anstrengend, so dass es sich empfiehlt nicht in der Mittagshitze zu gehen. Gegen Abend hat man ausserdem eine wunderschöne Aussicht mit Sonnenuntergang.

A must see if visiting Sri Lanka. Grounds are well maintained and the site is beautiful from top to bottom. Climb is of moderate intensity with some narrow stairs as you get towards the top. View from the top is absolutely worth it but there are expansive views even if you don’t climb all the way to the top.

Sigiriya – der Löwenfelsen mit seinen beeindruckenden Festungsruinen – ist absolut sehenswert. Der Aufstieg war für mich ein echtes Highlight. Im Vorfeld hatte ich öfter gelesen, dass der Weg recht anspruchsvoll sein soll, aber das kann ich so nicht bestätigen. Mit normaler Kondition ist der Aufstieg sehr gut machbar. Schon der Weg nach oben ist wunderschön gestaltet, und je höher man kommt, desto beeindruckender wird die Umgebung. Spätestens bei den Treppen und dem letzten Abschnitt möchte man ständig stehen bleiben, um Fotos zu machen – so spektakulär sind die Ausblicke. Es ist also kein Wunder, dass sich täglich hunderte Besucher auf den Weg nach oben machen. Der Ausblick vom Gipfel ist einfach einzigartig und absolut unvergesslich. Für mich zählt Sigiriya definitiv zu den schönsten gelegenen Monumenten in ganz Sri Lanka.

Ik was eerst sceptisch vanwege de hoge toegangsprijs, maar het is het waard. Gratis parking, ticket office is aan de ingang van het complex. De ruïnes beneden de berg zijn prachtig en het park is goed onderhouden. Er lopen ook veel aapjes. Neem je tijd om alles te ontdekken en ieder paadje in te slaan. Loop dus niet gewoon direct door naar de rots, je mist zoveel moois! Het complex op de rots is leuk om te ontdekken en je hebt een prachtig 360° uitzicht over heel de streek. De mirror wall is een beetje teleurstellend, want het is precies gewoon een geel geplamuurd stuk muur, maar de rotstekening van de vrouwen is wel echt petje af. Erna bezocht ik het museum, dat iets meer informatie geeft over Siringiya.

It’s the kind of place that leaves you in awe of what was achieved so long ago with such limited tools. The site is well-organized with guides available, and the surrounding gardens and moats are also worth exploring. Sigiriya is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, culture, or just stunning scenery. It truly lives up to its reputation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Viele Stufen die sich lohnen. Belohnt wird man von einer tollen Aussicht. Und auf dem Weg nach unten unbedingt die Felsenmaletei ansehen (Fotografieren verboten) Erreichbar über eine Wendeltreppe am Fels.

最初岩を見た時は本当に登れるかなぁ…と心配になりましたが、何とか登りきることができました。 頂上からの景色はまさに圧巻です‼️

I visited Sigiriya Rock during my recent trip, and it was a good experience overall, especially if you enjoy hiking and don’t mind a serious climb. The hike itself is tiring. There are many steep steps and narrow staircases. For seniors aged 60 and above, or anyone with knee problems or mobility concerns, I would strongly suggest reconsidering or skipping it. It is physically demanding and not an easy climb. As for the fortress itself, it didn’t captivate me as much as I expected. While it’s historically significant and interesting, I personally wasn’t too impressed. However, the view from the top is definitely beautiful and makes the effort somewhat worthwhile. Seeing the surrounding greenery from above is the highlight of the experience. Overall, it’s worth doing if you’re fit and enjoy hikes with panoramic views, but go prepared for a tough climb! Go early before the sun is on full blast! Make sure to visit the museum before starting the climb. It provides helpful context and gives you a clearer overall narrative of Sigiriya’s history and significance. While it’s not an outstanding or highly interactive museum, it offers enough information to enhance and enrich your experience at the site.

I went for the sunset. Amazing and beautiful. A bit scary on the metal staircase for me. I'm terrified of heights but felt like I achieved something after id done it. Views are unforgettable. Definitely recommend

Der Besuch der Sigiriya war eines der beeindruckendsten Erlebnisse unserer Sri-Lanka-Reise. Es ist kaum vorstellbar, was hier bereits vor tausenden von Jahren durch menschliche Hand und unglaublichen Erfindergeist erschaffen wurde – insbesondere das ausgeklügelte Entwässerungssystem und die gesamte Anlage haben uns nachhaltig beeindruckt. Der Aufstieg auf den berühmten Löwenfelsen ist definitiv nichts für „mal eben nebenbei“ – es sind viele Treppen und man sollte gut zu Fuß sein. Aber: Jeder einzelne Schritt lohnt sich! Oben angekommen wird man mit einer spektakulären Aussicht über die gesamte Ebene belohnt – ein Moment, den man so schnell nicht vergisst. Am Fuße des Felsens gibt es kleine Souvenirstände, an denen man schöne Andenken erwerben kann. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, einen Guide zu buchen – was wir absolut empfehlen können. Unser Guide hat uns spannende Einblicke in die kulturelle Geschichte und die Bedeutung dieses einzigartigen Ortes gegeben. Natürlich kann man den Felsen auch problemlos auf eigene Faust erklimmen, aber mit Guide wird das Erlebnis noch einmal deutlich intensiver. Ein absolutes Must-See in Sri Lanka!
