This is one of the most peaceful places in the city and a spot I always appreciate visiting. The temple sits beautifully over the water and the calm surroundings make you instantly slow down and breathe a little deeper. The design and atmosphere create such a soothing space where you can reflect or simply enjoy the gentle breeze from the lake. Even though it is right in the middle of Colombo it feels like a quiet escape where you can step away from the noise and take a moment for yourself. A truly special place that holds a lot of spiritual and cultural value.

是一座水上寺廟，也是一座民族信仰自由融合的寺廟，除了佛教神像以外，還擺放了印度教和道教的神像。不管你的信仰是什麼，來這裡可以找到自己想要的禮拜方式和心靈的淨化。周圍的湖面如果能清理乾淨，湖面的蓮花盛開，ㄧ定很美。

nice spot for a quick 10-minute stop to take some photos. There is an entrance fee. If you already bought a ticket for the Gangaramaya Temple, it’s included in the same ticket. The lake water is quite murky and has an unpleasant smell, which is a bit disappointing. Hopefully, the Colombo municipality will address this issue.

The temple on the water is beautiful and relaxing, the monks took turns reciting the sacred text in their soothing voices, and although we were there at noon, at the hottest hour, the inside of the temple was cool and the wind was blowing, and we relaxed there for a few minutes. The entrance fee was 500 Sri Lankan rupees per person.

Wejście 1000 łączone z Gangaramaya Temple. Niestety obie świątynie zaniedbane. Seema to już w ogóle porażka. Budda pokryty ptasimi odchodami, zniszczone rzeźby i ten straszny smród z wody. Myślałem, że ludzie przesadzają, ale serio przy ulicy nie da się po prostu stać. Wyciąganie pieniędzy i wielki wstyd.

One of the beautiful Buddhist temple in Colombo . Great place to sit and meditate peacefully. With great scenic beauty. Best time to visit is early morning , when there is no crowd.

地元の人は無料らしいが、外国人は有料。 チケットは年々上がっているみたい。要確認。 地元の方もたくさん訪れていました。 ベイラ湖湖上に建っており、建物は有名なジェフリー・バワによって設計された。 チケットはすぐ近くの、ガンガラーマ寺院と共有。どちらかで買えば、両方入れます。 湖はあんまりきれいではないです。水の色は緑色してました。 寺院は掃除もされていて、きれいです。 寺院を囲むように、金色の仏像坐像が置かれていて、湖をバックに写真を撮ると、結構カッコいい。コロンボっぽい写真になりますよ。 寺院自体のデザインはシンプルで、スッキリした感じ。 ガネーシャなどの像もありました。 靴を脱いで入ることになっています。

Conveniently close to local shops and shopping options, it’s a gem for unwinding. Foreign visitors pay a modest 400 Sri Lankan rupees, which includes access to the main attraction just meters away. A must-visit for anyone seeking a quiet, relaxing haven—this spot is pure bliss!

Entrance fee is not much. Its kept pretty clean. Floors will most likely be wet in the morning. They could possibly keep the shoe racks cleaner; noticed bugs and spiderwebs inside of it. Otherwise, very nice, picturesque Temple on the water!

It was very crowded during the weekend, which took away some of the peaceful feeling, so it is better to visit on a weekday. Good spot for sitting quietly, enjoying the lake, and taking photos. You can spend some time here if you want to escape the city noise for a while.

ジェフリー・バワ建築のモダンなお寺。 青い空と湖とモダンな建物のコントラストが良い。 チケットは入口で買えました。チケットはガンガラーマ寺院と併用でRs.400 日中は床がかなり熱いので靴下あると便利。 湖が匂うとカキコミがあったが、午前中に行った時は匂いは気にならなかった。

The temple is beautiful. But 2 things stick out like a sore thumb: 1. The dirty lake. Full of stagnant water. Algae. Breeding ground for mosquito. Smell. 2. Couples using the sacred space for their rendezvous
