We went for brunch and ordered two pancakes (praline and biscoff) and two coffees. The staff was polite and the place is beautifully decorated. The coffees arrived, no problems thus far. Then 45 minutes passed and the pancakes still didn't come, so I asked a waiter to check on them. She comes after two minutes carrying them, and they looked like they were sitting in the kitchen ready for a while because the ice cream was all melted and they were falling apart. The biscoff pancake stack collapsed and the waiter picked up the fallen top pancake with her bare hand, and put it on top, which, of course, was disgusting. I was so shocked I couldn't figure out what to say.
For the benefit of the doubt, we tasted them, and they would have been nice if they were brought to us when they were freshly made. Unfortunately, the taste was overshadowed by the fact that the waiter touched my food, so I couldn't even eat the whole thing (I could eat only the half that was untouched), and the fact that they were cold outside and only warm in the middle. The ice cream was so melted that it was
inedible so I just scraped it off. A sauce comes with the biscoff pancakes, which, I assume it should be hot, but it was stone cold, as if it was in the fridge.
Overall, the food is definitely not worth it, only the coffees were nice.
None of the staff asked us if things were ok, I think they probably know that what they serve is sub-standard.
In conclusion, do not go to eat there, maybe only for drinks or coffee (freddo capuccino is €4.3 each by the way). It's a shame because the place is beautiful, but I will definitely not be visiting again.
Update after the owner's comment: We were asked if we were finished, not if everything was ok, and we asked for the bill as we just wanted to leave. And of course we'd say thank you, that's just being polite. Indeed I should have mentioned something then, but to be honest I was shocked, and since we weren't asked if things were ok, then I don't feel there was a point to mention anything. To be honest instead of making excuses and trying to say your customers are lying, you should be focusing on teaching your staff basic hygiene rules and food quality. All the best and good luck.
