Sour Beach

What an amazing beach! We were here in November and it was even warm enough to swim! The water is translucent and you can see the soft sandy bottom. It is a beautiful color, aquamarine and so smooth and nice and very shallow going out. We had a wonderful time and hope to research returns soon. We were able to sit on the beach for free. There is public access on the southside. We were able to walk all the way up to the north end of the beach. There were plenty of restaurants there. We actually went to a restaurant on the north side of the peninsula which was very nice. You can also get some great pictures from the world heritage site ancient ruins nearby.

Tyre's beach is a beautiful spot with sandy shores and clear waters. The peaceful atmosphere and scenic views make it a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Visitors will appreciate the beach amenities and nearby attractions for a pleasant beach outing.

The beach in Tyre is amazing especially in September. It's public place with long and wide shore. Some activities can be done like beach tennis (palette) and kayaking or Paddle Boat. Some negative points are that the parking is not well organized by municipality. Also, no strict policy and regulations are made by municipality regarding beach tennis players, cleanliness of guests, boats approaching seashore, as well as noise and behavior of some people on beach.

I'm in love with this beach, the crystal water and the clean sand, only you have to pay rent for a table and chairs , you can bring your own food or eat from the restaurant, it the cleanest beach in Lebanon😍

By far the biggest stretch of sand in Lebanon and one of the cleanest waters. Part of the beach houses khiyam (tents) for venues if you'd like to be served but the majority is a public space. Even if it gets busy, it still doesn't feel too crowded.

Great colors - the water, the sand, the sky. In winters, you might be completely alone and it is huge space. Be aware it Is quite poluted by plástics - but still beautiful

One of the cleanest waters in all of lebanon I like to come here with friends and family whenever we have the chance as its a bit of a long drive from beirut. But its the only place that has clean white sands and the longest beach in lebanon I guess. U can come and bring ur own food and umbrellas and sit on either sides of the beach, or pay a small entrance fee for a table under a tent a bit away from the water as umbreallas can't be put on the front of beach center. The place and the city itself is the most affordable in lebanon. Dogs have recently been not allowed and parking ur car only costs about 3 liras.

Absolutely stunning beach! The water is crystal clear, the sand is soft, and the vibe is peaceful and authentic. One of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in Lebanon — perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or just enjoying the view. It’s spacious, not overcrowded, and still feels natural and unspoiled. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and how welcoming it felt. Great for families, couples, or anyone looking for a break from the city. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the south. A true hidden gem!

Not many sandy beaches in Lebanon, this one is on top of the list. However, visitors should respect the place by not littering and the milunicipality should do it's best to keep things clean.

Clean and good atmosphere.. Good food nearby as well.. Highly recommended.

When looked after and cleaned, it is a great beach to spend a day with your friends or family!
