South End Beach Compass

Very nice place to visit and hang on. Friendly neighborhood too. Kids and pets friendly. The beach is clean and the sea wall walkway is a great place to stroll and admire the nature as well.

Filmed some beautiful waves here. Great spot to view the ocean.

On a beautiful day you get some great views over the water.

No complaints how could there be any, especially with beautiful skies, water view, trees all three elements showing at the same time, very quiet, birds chipping etc...

Nice peaceful walk on the boardwalk. Peaceful. Quiet. You can fish, dock your boat, walk or just sit and relax and take in the sounds & smells.

What a beautiful walking path! Especially at sunrise or sunset! Great for getting in that daily exercise! Or just a peaceful walk with gorgeous ocean views. New Bedford did an excellent job building this beautiful walkway for our residents and tourist to enjoy and take in some of our most beautiful sceneries! And when the sun goes down...this already amazing walkway becomes even more magical with it's built in lights all along the pathway. It's definitely a must see when in New Bedford's south end of town!

I love going rock hunting here. I spend hours hunched over in the sand where nobody swims. It's so calming

New Bedford has such beautiful walking/bicycling trails! So peaceful with all the seagulls and birds. The beach extends for a few miles...love it💙

Nice to go walking but I wouldn't swim in the water. The poop plant pumps that stuff into the water. There are signs that tell you that the water isn't good

Was pleasently surprised! The beach is clean..they have live free entertainment..food trucks.. Showers..an restrooms..make sure u look out for what may b happening there.

Good to go on family walks and or with friends to pass time or you can go enjoy fishing or just stop and listen to the water...and view the beauty of nature

This is a great place to park very close to the water. Enjoy the view while reading a book or just relaxing by the bay.

I only come here last minute thing to go with my son! He loves the water 🏊🏼‍♂️ this water is so salty and look dirty but he enjoys it.

I like fort taber because of the history, you can BBQ fly kites, drones, picnic and in the summer they have a ice cream place that you can get a wide variety of things.

Great spot for filming with your choice of camera. Windy today but the view was spectacular.
