My experience with SAIT’s English Language Foundations (ELF) program was very disappointing. The teaching quality was weak, and much of the course content seemed to rely on simple YouTube videos rather than structured language instruction. The grading system also felt misleading, giving students an inflated sense of their English level. The online platform is extremely confusing and difficult to navigate, especially for international students who are still learning English. Another major concern is the way funding and payments are handled. Students are encouraged to start the program with the impression that financial support may be available, but after the withdrawal deadline passes, they are told funding is not possible and are expected to pay the full tuition. Due to serious pregnancy-related health issues, I attended only five days of classes. Despite explaining my situation and submitting documentation, I continued receiving emails demanding payment and warnings about collection agencies. SAIT has a large campus, but facilities do not equal quality education. I strongly recommend that prospective students research carefully before enrolling.

I would love to give a good review but its so hard to get into classes even with assistance from the office of the register. I have been given the wrong information so many times. Its frustrating because I have made the effort to reach out and be proactive but the results have been minimal. As an online student I would advise other students to look at other online options before SAIT, they are too big to assist all their potential students. Not enough class options for online programs even though they advertise as available.

As a current student at SAIT, I can say that this school truly excels in delivering a high-quality, hands-on education. The instructors are knowledgeable and approachable, often bringing valuable industry experience into the classroom. The facilities are also impressive, with modern equipment and resources that give students a taste of real-world work environments. Each program is designed with a strong focus on practical skills, which I believe will give me a competitive edge in my future career. However, one downside I’ve experienced is the cost. The tuition fees are quite high, which can be challenging for students who are balancing studies with financial responsibilities. Despite the cost, I feel that the quality of education and the opportunities available, such as internships and industry connections, make it a worthwhile investment. SAIT provides an enriching learning experience, and although the financial aspect is tough, I believe it’s preparing me well for the workforce.

We were at SAIT to drop off our second last son to his dorm in Begin Tower. We had a move in time so 2 PM. We got into the close parking area at 2. We were able to get him moved in with lots of time to spare. The whole process was very well organized! I cannot speak highly enough of those setup the move in process.

2 days of meetings with Apprenticeship and Industry Training to review the Refrigeration Exams and update. Meeting room supplied by SAIT was fantastic as was the hospitality they provided. Tour of Refrigeration training Labs was great and the facility set up is very impressive and modern! Thanks to the SAIT staff for your efforts and input.

Just went to the open house this weekend, Horrible experience to say the least, took me forever to find a parking spot, I was directed up the wrong flight of stairs and was met with a locked door, wanted to get into the apprenticeship information panel, but by the time I’d gone around the building, got back up to the 3rd floor, the room was full and I was sent away. Making me miss it. Went to the hands on experience after that, was basically ignored and had mothers and their children pushing in-front of me. When outside for some fresh air and decided to give the campus tour a go, too many people yelling, i couldn’t hear a word the guide was saying. Way too many people at this event where I got seriously overwhelmed. Ended up leaving campus early extremely disappointed in myself.

Don't go here for culinary arts especially. One of the biggest waste of time and money I have ever had the displeasure of enduring in my life. To say this school is completely robbing people while providing mediocre education that you could just learn online for free, is putting it lightly. My diploma has gotten me nowhere, teachers provide zero connections to the job market. Appalling that this place can legally call itself a school.

I would give this place no stars if I could. But just like their policy of your email now expires after a year, even though you paid 10s of thousands of dollars, you can't access any of the course content anymore; you can't rate them any lower. Don't bother going to this school, it's a joke and waste of money. The teachers are the only good thing left here but they get screwed over too.

I had a wonderful experience with SAIT, especially thanks to Kim, the Regional Representative for East Asia. She was extremely supportive and professional throughout my application process. Kim provided clear and detailed information about the school and guided me step by step, making everything much easier to understand. She also helped me with scholarship information, which was very valuable and encouraging. Her kindness, patience, and dedication truly stood out, and I felt very well taken care of. I’m grateful for her help and highly recommend SAIT for anyone considering studying here, especially with such amazing staff like Kim

I graduated from the University of Calgary with 1.5 degrees. After working for two years in an office job, I enrolled at SAIT for a diploma program. I didn’t even get a chance to finish it before I was hired in my field. Should have started from Sait to save a few years of my life.

SAIT is not the place it once was. It is clearly now a money grab. If I wanted to be told to go find a text book and the abandoned on a timeline I could have save the money and done it myself. I do not recommend! Ps: correct and proofread your online quizzes. It just makes you look all the more shoddy.

My kid attends the culinary program. The chefs seem to think calling the students worthless, hopeless and stupid is somehow acceptable. That this treatment will encourage and allow the student to strive and feel confident in themselves. The chefs expect the students to know how to prepare something before being taught. So why are the chefs necessary if the students already know what to do? I remind my kid that the chefs are there to help not hinder. That you pay their salary! I think that these chefs should be reprimanded/fired! Not acceptable whatsoever!

I have been to 4 colleges in my life and am an A student on average. I am writing this review so that others are aware of what they are getting themselves into if they choose or are considering SAIT College. This college is a disgrace to the education system! It is all for profit and not about your education. They are short teaching staff and the professors in general should not be deemed their position. They are unprofessional, arrogant, extremely disorganized and lack the skills to provide a proper education. I have met very gifted students in my journey at this college that should be offered teaching positions however they stated that they would turn down such an offer due to the political environment at this institution. The staff are so immature and unprofessional that they will slander your name to their colleges if you question them. Because of this and many other reasons I strongly believe that this college is a lawsuit just waiting to happen. It is very unfortunate however there is the possibility for change if enough people speak up or give a thumbs up to my review if they agree. Be kind and allow others to know the truth. It could save someone a lot more than just their time and money.

Sait is one of the most popular colleges in Calgary. All buldings and roads are in very good conditions, so it is really safe place for students and pedestrians. From the main campus Heritage Hall you can see one of the best views of downtown.

This has got to be the worst school I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with my girlfriend over the last month has been trying to apply for Medical office assistant and unit clerk course. After communicating with them over the course of 3 to 4 weeks over email. She was told after the school admission recieved her transcripts she was told she could get into the program great! To only after spending $125 applying that she needs to upgrade her English. ( as she was 2% off of the acceptable grade for program) . Which is fine she's then advised to to apply for the program and just complete the course she's now spent $250 applying to get into the program. At this point she's told all the has to do is apply for the English course and complete it before January to get into the program. And after spending another $500 to get her into the English course (a total of $750 now spent) she's then told she doesn't have the grades to even get into the English course to get into the program. This entire time the admission office has had access to her transcripts and were aware she couldn't get into either the course or program she was trying to apply for. So now after spending a total of $750 she's no closer to taking the program she's been dreaming about taking and has been just scared to make the financial leap. Then she's given finally given a chance as she can challenge the test and if she gets a high enough grade she can take the course to them get into the program. To which this morning she's then rudely treated by the person accepting people for the exam saying "that her perfume is too potent and it will give the other examinees migraines and she has the right to refuse her into the exam" but out of the kindness of her heart (she's been treating her rudely the whole time) puts her in a room by herself to take the test. Which she has studied for every late into the night after work only to realize the exam she'd been studying for with the study guide provided by admissions wasn't correct either? She studied for a 35 question, hour long exam. But instead was the exam a 55 question exam that's 2 hours and has nothing to do with the exam she was studying for the whole time. So now we're $750 into a school who seems to no have put every effort into making this an unpleasant, unfair, uninviting experience and make her regret her decision to attempt to go to this school. At every opportunity we've been lead astray and lied to during this entire process. I have been trying to be positive hoping at some point we would see the good reputation the school seeming built. To make this all worth it but instead it has seemingly been a waste of time.

I’m so incredibly disappointed in this institution for many things, but mostly how they handle program withdrawals. They are charging me $689 (50% of my tuition for the course I’m "registered in" and applicable fees) and I’m absolutely appalled with their reasoning. I’m almost finished my university education. I would have had a year left had I continued with my program; however, I wanted a change. I decided to enrol in the SAIT ITS program to see if it would be a better fit for me. In December, I contacted my advisor about withdrawing from my courses as I had decided to return to my previous institution (to study Business instead). This is where the chaos ensued. You would think that I must have withdrawn from my program halfway through the semester right? You would be incorrect. I withdrew on January 10th, and they feel that a 50% refund is acceptable within the withdrawal period. Their reasoning: "They could have charged me more". How are students supposed to know if their course load is too heavy before they begin classes? How are students supposed to know if they need further accommodation for a specific course before that class actually starts? How are your students supposed to meet their own needs if you’re charging them for needing to drop a course in order to make ends meet? You’re supposed to meet the needs of students… not break your students until they’re broke. Or in my case, how are students supposed to know that a program would drive their mental state into the ground. They do not care, nor do they show any sympathy. If you are like me, and you don’t have money to throw away on tuition for a class that you were supposed to be withdrawn from… I would highly recommend applying to an institution that doesn’t just care about money and actually has a heart for their students. I hope this review can help you make an educated decision for your future.

I’m so disappointed in this school. I was looking for more information about a program and the person helping me has been everything but unhelpful. They have not contacted me when promised and their emails convey laziness. They haven’t made any effort to help or point me in the direction of someone helpful. Thank you sait for showing me you don’t value my time. I will be looking at other schools, there’s no way I will put any money into this institution. So disgusting.

I used to be with sait, as a student, I did a couple of courses. But the teachers in this institution aren't very friendly. Mr. Dwight Maki is a very hard teacher. He talks to you very pathetically. He doesn't even consider you doing a good job. I told him that my house is very very far away and that I need online courses, they don't encourage you to go online, just in campus, like in school learning. And saying that " who gave you permission to go online ?" Isn't very nice, it's rude. Their always putting you in low classes even if your English is very good. Their was lots of complaints about a couple of teachers, why their so strict. Bossy teachers. That's not good for the university and either the students. They withdraw you for no reason and your already doing a very good job, like give you low marks out of no where. If they keep it up, they will lose students.

As a student of this school for many years I have to say it has sure gone downhill. In the the electrical building alone.. barly any of the toilets work. If they do 2 days later it has a sign sahing out if order. Pretty sure the plumbing department is right below us? Automatic door openers dont work, in other buildings the esclators are broken every second day. Are you guys following hudsons bay? It didnt work out so well for them.. And with Tuition alone from just electrical students not including the portion of funding the goverment pays. This is over 1 million dollars per 2/3 month semester. Tuition costs keep going up but the quality of this school keeps going down. There has been a 2 Liter juice box on top of a hanging heater for 4 years now... you guys seriously need to get your school together. Sincerely A student who used to really hold this school in a high reguard.

SAIT is a circus disguised as a school. You pay thousands just to teach yourself from ancient PowerPoints while getting ghosted by every advisor like it’s part of the curriculum. Blackboard crashes more than my sanity, registration feels like a rigged slot machine, and the Wi-Fi? Completely possessed — only works when you’re not submitting an assignment. Every hallway is blocked by eternal construction, printers don’t work unless you sacrifice a goat, and the only consistent thing here is your rising stress. The support staff? Might as well be fictional — they’ll send you in circles until you give up or graduate from sheer exhaustion. You’ll walk in with hope and leave with trauma, wondering if you accidentally enrolled in a social experiment. Honestly, the squirrels on campus have more structure in their lives. And if you dare complain, you’ll get a fake support response like, “Thanks for your feedback! We’re undergoing maintenance forever. Please scream into the void or file a ticket we’ll ignore. Best of luck!” Zero stars. Actually, negative stars. The only real learning here is how to survive academic gaslighting.
