Today I visited Spencer's Chinar Park, Kolkata store and noticed great insults to our Border Heros. If you are serving in the Indian Army, Air Force, Navy, Paramilitary Forces, others and you are in UNIFORM, You are NOT ALLOWED here and you can't buy any goods (Personal/Domestic/Luxury even liquor) at Spencer's Kolkata (Location & Photo attached) In wake of current situation, when every Indian salute to our Heros, such materialistic people seems differ and come out with selfish goals. I request to Govt of India and Govt of West Bengal to ask why and how such business orders DISRESPECT TO ARMY MEN in the name of SALE INCREASE. It is a great insult to all responsible Indian citizens who pay respect to our brave hero. आज मैंने स्पेंसर के चिनार पार्क कोलकाता स्टोर का दौरा किया और देखा कि हमारे सीमावर्ती वीरों का बहुत अपमान किया जा रहा है। यदि आप भारतीय सेना, वायु सेना, नौसेना, अर्धसैनिक बलों, अन्य में सेवारत हैं और आप वर्दी में हैं, तो आपको अनुमति नहीं है और आप स्पेंसर के कोलकाता (स्थान और फोटो संलग्न) में कोई भी सामान (व्यक्तिगत/घरेलू/विलासिता यहाँ तक कि शराब) नहीं खरीद सकते हैं। वर्तमान स्थिति के मद्देनजर, जब हर भारतीय हमारे वीरों को सलाम करता है, ऐसे भौतिकवादी लोग अलग दिखते हैं और स्वार्थी लक्ष्यों के साथ सामने आते हैं। मैं भारत सरकार और पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार से अनुरोध करता हूँ कि वे पूछें कि बिक्री बढ़ाने के नाम पर ऐसे व्यवसाय सेना के जवानों का अपमान क्यों और कैसे करते हैं। यह उन सभी जिम्मेदार भारतीय नागरिकों का बहुत बड़ा अपमान है जो हमारे बहादुर नायक का सम्मान करते हैं।

They're running a 2 story hypermarket but the cashier(Biswajit) refuses to give change of 300 rs back. Upon insisting for a few mins, he tried opening his lock and that was stuck as well. I ended up spending 30 mins to simply buy 200 rs worth of items and even then I was ultimately unable to make a purchase and had to go home empty handed. This type of experience completely ruins the trust and reputation built over years. I'm never returning or recommending Spencer's to anymore.

Spencers the name is enough, it has a good reputation when it comes to serving the people of this neighborhood, it is spread over two floors. The items available here are aplenty and the customer has a variety of choices. You also have access to a live kitchen for snacks, a new dosa counter is also open here. They have a good inventory of food articles, alcohol, clothes, etc..

This Spencer is at Chinar Park. It is just 2mins walking from Chinar Park bus stand. This outlet is very big. Each and every household products are available here.. It is a double storied outlet. Green vegetables, fish, chicken, bakery products, household products, alcohol, Cadbury etc are in ground floor. In second floor, it has garments for kids, men and women along with trolley bags, beauty products, shoes and many more. Behaviour of staffs is good and very cooperative. One of the best food that I love is Chicken roast. It's super delicious. Overall it's a good place for shopping.

I have been a regular customer of Spencer’s and truly value the service, variety, and convenience your store usually provides. However, I wish to share an experience from 17th August that left me quite disappointed. I had purchased 2 packets of milk, but the staff at the dairy counter mistakenly billed me for 3. When I politely pointed out the error and even suggested checking the CCTV for clarity, the staff member chose to argue rather than verify. Finally, she told me to “just take 3 packets,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I fully understand that mistakes can happen — that’s natural. What truly matters is how such situations are handled. Unfortunately, in this case, instead of a quick check and resolution, I was left with an unpleasant impression. For reference, I am attaching the photo of the staff member involved so that she can be identified and guided accordingly. My intention is not to complain for the sake of it, but to ensure that customers like me always feel respected and comfortable shopping at Spencer’s. I sincerely hope the management will look into this matter, guide the concerned staff on handling such issues with courtesy, and take steps to prevent similar experiences in the future. I would also appreciate it if you could let me know about the corrective actions taken.

One of the oldest shopping chain in India. An amazing range products. Quite pocket friendly. Opens at 10.00am till 9.00pm. this store has variety of food choices dining facility is available and they back cake good confectionery. Parking is available with proper drop n pic up space.

A good department store with all basic things available. The wine store is a great addition to it with all the best of spirits available. They didn't allow me to take pictures inside the store, don't know why. But could manage to get some photos before being asked not to. The location is an important factor with the entire complex housing this store is very modern and houses Holiday Inn, PS Ixia, another hotel etc. But the Nasha bar and restaurant right beside Spencer's is a big turnaround.

Friendly and approachable staff, you'll get vast range of varieties under one roof, from food to apparel to cosmetics to groceries to skin care. You'll also get imported gourmet food and snacks which are mostly only available online.

Good store having clothing to food n drinks (hard or soft), electronics, etc. Parking space available outside and basement free of cost. Both Big Bazaar and Spencer's are just next door neighbour. If driving, ensure u can drive through a narrow lane. If walking, the entrance gets flooded during rains. Quality is good but clothing seems to be a bit pricy unless you visit during sale or offer season. Electronic collection needs improvement. Overall a good store under one roof.

The service was disappointing and not customer-friendly. My friend experienced significant delays and inconvenience due to the poor handling of the situation.

If you want some good stuff with low price then sure Spencer is the top of the list, one of the best place for shopping. All kind of thing you can get here. So sad to say cloth brand is less so men's Verity is less but women's brand are lot... With great deal and shopping discount.

Spencer is good for Shoping, you can get your daily needs products from here as well as spice, dry fruits, even Fresh Green Vegetables, Milk, Butter everything are available here for your convenience at just one place and at very reasonable price, This is at very nice place too easy to reach there, Parking space is available here, For travelling Bus, Auto, Ola, Uber everything is available here for your comfort travelling.

The best supermarket in the area. Big enough to find things International section is full of variety You can get fresh fish there. They provide good offers on a lot of things Their own brand has good products too PORK, CHICKEN, FISH, MUTTON, EGGS are available HALAL PRODUCTS ARE SOLD

A really good place to find everything that you are looking for...they are a little short on the baking products but other than that you'll most definitely find what you want. There are great deals on the weekends so i recommend that you shop on those days. Not very crowded so it's ideal for those of us who want to just take a stroll around and find things to buy. Overall it's always a pleasure to visit here.
