کفشاتونو باید دربیارید. سرویس بهداشتی نداره. ببیطش دو هزار روپیه و در حدود ۱۰ دلار برای هر نفره. فضاش هشتاد درصد توریستی تجاری و بیست درصد روحانیه. اون بیست درصد هم از اور حضور معدود آدماییه که اونجا عبادت می‌کنن و اغلب هم زن هستن. اونجا که رفتید به گلها توجه کنید. به مجسمه‌های بودا با ژست‌های مختلف هم که رسیدید از یکی از راهنماها درمورد معانی هر شکل دست های بودا سوال کنید. اگر هم رفتید سریلانکا ث نخواستید برید معبد دندان، به جاش در موردش بخونید کمی. کافیه

خوب بود فقط یه نکته مهم این که باید برای رفتن داخل معبد کفش‌ها رو در بیارید و مسافت زیادی رو باید روی سنگهای خیابون پیاده روی کنید

The temple setup is beautiful and well organized, reflecting rich Sri Lankan culture and history. Although it can be a little crowded during Thewawa time, the waiting experience feels meaningful and devotional. The surroundings are clean and well maintained. Visiting this sacred temple gives a deep sense of peace and respect. It is a must-visit place in Kandy for spiritual and cultural inspiration.

Храм важен для буддистов, но по вечерам много туристов. Слишком много, так как он входит в туристический маршрут всех местных гидов. Пуджа около пяти утра и в 18.30. Правда вроде еще в 9.30 есть, нужно проверить. Гиды туристов возят на вечернюю, она с барабанами)). Стоимость 2000 рупий. Проход босиком, покрытые плечи и колени, открытая голова. Это общее правило для всех храмов. Кто-то писал о попрошайках, не заметила, у меня ни один не вымогал. Сама церемония для туристов предполагаю не столь интересна, звучат барабаны и флейта, монахи открывают окно в котором виднеется пагода (место хранения зубы Будды), люди проходят цепочкой мимо, кладут цветы и деньги. Так же можно пройти в еще два помещения и увидеть древние книги и прочие предметы. Книга, написанная на медных листах, меня покорила.

Территория храма ухоженная, хорошо организованная, а сам комплекс гармонично вписан в окружающий ландшафт Канди. Несмотря на большое количество паломников и туристов, внутри сохраняется порядок и чувство достоинства. Ритуалы проходят размеренно и торжественно, позволяя прочувствовать важность этого места. Даже простое наблюдение за процессиями и молитвами даёт возможность лучше понять буддийскую традицию и мировоззрение. Малоизвестный исторический факт: реликвия Зуба Будды на протяжении веков считалась символом законной власти на острове. Существовало убеждение, что право управлять страной принадлежит тому, кто хранит реликвию. Именно поэтому храм неоднократно переносился вместе со столицей и тщательно охранялся. Кроме того, в XVIII веке он был перестроен кандийскими правителями с использованием уникальной системы защиты от пожаров, что было редкостью для того времени. Посещение этого храма — это не просто экскурсия, а настоящий культурный и духовный опыт, который остаётся в памяти надолго. Очень рекомендую всем, кто хочет глубже понять историю и душу Шри-Ланки.

Eindrücklicher Tempel. Der sogenante Zahntempel Die Besucher werden in Gruppen eingeteilt, Einheimische und Besucher aus umliegenden Ländern und sonstige. Je nachdem Herkunft liegt der Eintrittspreis bei 1500 Rupien im teuersten Bereich. Den Zahn sieht man nicht, da sich diese im Inneren des Tempel in einem weiteren innen liegenden Konstrukt befindet, der nicht betretbar ist. Ansonsten ist das Gelände sehr weitläufig. It is definitely getting the highest possible rating for thr rich cultural experience. It is full of history, and national symbol of Buddhist faith. Foreign visitors must purchase a ticket. One has to go through Security check 2 times. Once entered, take your sweet time explore. Make sure to remain silent, or cery quiet. Also must show respect to not have your back towards any Buddha images when taking photos. Also be discreet, try not to disturb people who are praying. The museum is very interesting, make sure to visit it.

Un incontournable à Kandy et au Sri-Lanka. J'ai passé l'après-midi dans ce temple, des musées intéressants, il y a de quoi passer des heures en attendant la cérémonie de 18h30. Beaucoup beaucoup de monde, des fidèles qui prient, malgré le va et vient des touristes. Avant 18h, l'ambiance est plus calme, plus recueillie,les récitation murmurées des prières dégagent une atmosphère de calme et de sérénité. A voir absolument.

The best place we visited in Kandy. Key points: 1. Specific time of pooja they do thrice a day. We visited around 6.30 PM to make sure we saw the relic. 2. The place can be crowded with almost all tourists and locals puring in for the glimpse of the sacred relic. 3. Omly 20-30 it's open for visitors and then they close the doors. 4. Don't miss the mural art explaining the story of the tooth relic ( video loaded for reference) 5. Museum is also informative on the top floors of the same building 6. We missed seeing the palace, please time it well 7. The Bodhi tree with the ritual of carrying water from ground up and praying and offering was a unique experience and we enjoyed the religious experience, thanks to a friendly lady who explained what and how to offer prayer. The place has a positive vibe of a spiritual place and you can feel the place come alive during the time of prayer and they open for visit. Please plan to spend minimum 2 hours at this place

What touched me most was learning how beautifully and faithfully the temple was rebuilt after the 1998 blast. The restoration is truly phenomenal — you can hardly imagine the damage once done. It stands today not just as a place of worship, but as a symbol of resilience, faith, and unity. A must-visit for anyone coming to Kandy.

Beautiful Buddhist temple in a really serene location in Kandy. The artwork, frescoes, and attached Museum of Buddhism were all worthwhile to visit. The only thing I didn't know ahead of time is that the tooth of the Buddha isn't on display for most of the year, and is only shown to lay people in July.

A deeply spiritual and serene experience. The atmosphere inside the temple is incredibly peaceful, especially during the daily rituals and drumming. Seeing the devotion of the locals dressed in white is truly moving. A must-visit for anyone seeking peace of mind.

A historic sacred gem in Sri Lanka. As a buddhist this place feels very soothing and proud at the same time. Do not walk in the main pathway in the afternoon where sun is shining directly because the interlock tiles are very hot due to the sunlight and might cause burns in feet.
