I rarely write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience, as it fell well below the standard expected for the price.
At approximately £110 per person, both the food and service were unacceptable. The starters were poor in both flavour and presentation, and when we raised our concerns, we were told that staff could only serve what was available. This response felt more like a lack of planning than a genuine attempt to address the issue.
The vegan starter was particularly disappointing. It consisted of a bland plate covered in ketchup, a small side salad, and a single taco filled with cauliflower, which I was unable to eat. The main course was also cauliflower-based, meaning every course I was served revolved around the same ingredient. None of the dishes were of an acceptable standard, and the overall quality was far below what could reasonably be expected at this price point—I could have prepared better food at home.
When I raised this with our waitress, she responded by saying that the venue is “more of a restaurant where people care about their mains.” This comment felt dismissive and inappropriate, particularly given the price and the lack of genuine vegan options.
Other dishes were equally underwhelming. The mac and cheese was watery and flavourless, the chicken dish tasted as though it had been frozen rather than freshly prepared, and the salad contained frozen peas instead of the advertised edamame and pomegranate seeds, which felt like a poor and careless substitution. The rosé wine was also undrinkable and of very low quality, further diminishing the overall value of the brunch.
The most concerning aspect of the experience was the manager’s behaviour. After speaking with us, she immediately approached multiple members of staff, who then looked over at us and appeared to discuss our situation. Her manner was aggressive and intimidating. She stated that we would be escorted off the property and that security would be called if we did not accept the 10% discount offered. Rather than attempting to resolve the issue, she escalated the situation and left staff to handle a decision we had already made clear was unacceptable.
As a result, we felt uncomfortable and pressured to leave early. This went beyond poor service and reflected unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour from a manager.
The only positive aspects of the brunch were the dancers, who were excellent, and our server, who clearly tried her best within the constraints of the situation and whose efforts we appreciated.
Overall, the brunch felt rushed, poorly organised, and far more focused on entertainment than food quality. Compared with other brunches at a similar price point in Dubai, this experience was not worth the cost, and I would not recommend this venue.
