KMVN TRH Sukhatal (Mount View)

The overall stay was decent and satisfactory. The room was spacious and well-equipped with the necessary amenities. A heater was also provided, which was helpful and appreciated. However, the bed quality was slightly disappointing. It made noise while sitting and even when turning sides during sleep, which affected overall comfort. On the positive side, the food quality was good, portions were adequate, and pricing was reasonable. The room offered a nice view, which added value to the stay. Parking space was available and manageable. The staff was cooperative, and they also provided a breakfast buffet option. Overall, an average experience with scope for improvement in bedding quality.

Stayed there in Nov 25 with my family . Rooms doesn't have LED TV, Bathroom drainage was clogged, buffet breakfast staff was keeping an eye on guests serving, rooms doesn't have view.if you want to ruin your holiday than only book this hotel.

We had a very bad experience. The person at the reception provided us with the wrong information about the room charges. At the time of checkout, they doubled the price. When we refused to pay the increased amount, they forced us by closing the entrance gates and made us pay the amount. Our main concern is that they initially gave us incorrect information. If that was their mistake, they should have compensated us from their end. Instead, they were very disrespectful when we asked them to show the camera footage. Moreover, the audio quality of the footage was not clear, making it impossible to verify the conversation.

Best stay ever in Uttarakhand with huge parking area and awesome service. It is situated at the centre of Nainital from where every attractions are maximum 15 mins walk away. Food is also decent. Highly recommended place to stay.

Biggest positive of this hotel is it's parking space which is big and on road level ! One don't have to drive uphill ! Rooms are nice and cozy but amenities like coffee and tea is not provided in room ! Restaurant is simply decorated and food served is warm but tasts simple !

Pathetic experience over here. Staff is worst when it comes to behaviour. If negative rating option is there I would have given that. They don't deserve even one star. I would never recommend anyone to visit this rest house. The reception staff is absolute scam. They will misguide you about the charges and then at the time of checkout will ask for more money and threaten you . This is how they treat their guests. Worst place to stay and worst staff you'll ever met

We stayed there in a family room for two days in June, 2025. But the room was not airy. We didnot get any view from the room. As it is in the hilly area, we had to take a cab to travel from the lake to the hotel. Restaurant and behaviour of the staffs were good.

We have a wonderful experience during our several stays here. The set-up is well managed like a five star hotel. Good wishes to all of them. Again we will be there.

The location of this hotel is outstanding . The services are very nice and prompt . The room sizes are good however it requires improvement in washroom which has a bit foul smell . The floor tiles are very slippery . Also management should think to provide additional bed in form of foldable plywood fixed bed instead of simple putting mattress on the floor . Some improvement will prompt anyone to rate it with 5 stars . But at the same time I must appreciate the quality of food which is truly outstanding and homely . All staffs are very courteous and helpful .

Updated on May 5th 2024. Excellent rooms! Staff is very friendly and customer centric. The lady at the reception is very humble and the gentleman managing the kitchen is not the less. Older review Clean rooms and toilets. Towels provided. No toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo, but that is understood because of the lower price range they offer. Breakfast included. online booking. The electric kettle was there but I think the tea kits were missing. Huge parking space.

It's a government owned property managed by KMVN. They have various mixes of room ranging from couple oriented rooms to family oriented rooms, which can accommodate 4 members of a family. The complimentary breakfast offered at the property is good as well. The hotel has its own parking, which is good considering the parking problem prevalent in Nainital. Also, dormitories are also available for your driver in case you are renting a cab/taxi. The location of the property is around 1.5 -2 km away from Mall Road. The only downside we felt was the conditions of washrooms. Pipes were rusted, and sinks were not clean. Hotel is recommended as prices according to services are justifiable.

This property of KMVN is situated in Sukhatal, about 1.5-2 km from the Mall Road, the main thoroughfare of Nainital. It is far enough from the commotion of the Mall area and Bara Bazar to give you a peaceful stay, although it has a taxi stand right in front of the property. This hotel has got its own parking space, which is a huge thing in Nainital. One can get a cab to the Mall road, but during rush hours this distance of 2 km can take 2 hours. This hotel is a good option for people with mobility issues because it is on relatively flat grounds and doesn't require climbing, unlike most of the other hotels in Nainital, especially those on and nearby the Mall. Rooms are spacious, as per usual govt standards, although maintenance and upkeep could be better. Overall service is good. People are courteous and prompt in their response. Food is tasty, if you prefer normal Indian food. The breakfast spread could be improved; a few more preparations would be appreciated. The restaurant seemed understaffed. Overall a good, value-for-money stay.

I have stayed here from 11.06.2024 till 15.06.2024 with my son and wife.Had opted for Super Delux Room.Was alloted Room # 215.This property meets all expectations everyone expects while on a vacation.The biggest plus point is a huge parking space.Nice clean,tidy big rooms with a good big bathroom as well.The location is good too,though a bit far from Mall road,however the surroundings with mountain view around is outstanding.The staffs at the restaurant including Mr.Prem and few more were very courteuous and helpful meeting all our demands.Food available was tasty,quantity and price being pocket friendly as well.The frontoffice staff were good as well.The buffet breakfast was good too,though options were a bit less.I would like to mention a point here,the first breakfast buffet I have come across which included unlimited egg omlettes 😊 The entire premises were on a flat surface without any hassles of steep climbing or steps which is an advantage for senior citizens. An electric kettle was there in the room,however without tea/coffee/milk satchets. Overall an extremely satisfactory experience.

This hotel has good parking space, it has a good number of rooms and the size of the room is decent. We booked a four bed room and the room was neat and clean. It is a bit far from Mall road, and coming back from mall road to the hotel is very steep. Hotel staff is very humble and supportive.

The staff is worst over here, specially the reception staff and lady. Kitchen food is too oily but still at reasonable price and quantity wise is good. Views from the hotel of Naini/China peak is really awesome in the morning.

This is a Uttarakhand government tourist hotel. As a government hotel, i would say the hotel is fabulous and well maintained. Rooms are cozy, most of them newly built. Booking can be done online via kmvn website. Breakfast is usually included in the price. Service is quick. In a place like Nainital, tourist really need hotel parking and this hotel has huge parking space. The hotel is walkable distance from Cave Gardens spot. Mall road is about 1.5-2km distance. Food is freshly made and they take personal requests too unless hotel is overloaded with bookings.

Stay and food was good. A big parking. Situated at the point from where you can cover maximum tourist attractions of Nainital. But far away from mall road. Overall good place to stay with family.

Best place. I booked two Super Deluxe rooms for my stay and they were very comfortable. The management and the staff are very friendly and polite. It is a beautiful place which provided you Mountain View. The Wi-Fi is also nice. I would recommend this place to all.

Wonderful experience....Value for money....this wholesomely describes the stay here.... Any hill station, space is always the constraint...in such a scenario, if the location provides more than enough space be it in room, parking, surroundings.....then, nothing like it.....!! The location is just 1.5 km away from Nainital mall road....with a nice view of mountain.... The parking space is ample....well maintained.... I booked standard room for about 2000 and was glad to enter a two room set with clean attached bathroom.... Food is also very nice.....breakfast is complimentary..... Laundry service available.... Overall experience..... fantastic.....!!

Rooms are large but architecture is old & govt type. Service is good and staff is cooperative. 5 stars for the location. You can choose the hotel is okay 👍
